large opponent fight (coyote pack)

"Prince of Darkness?" Fuck that, I'm the King

Dracun was doing the usual rounds when he heard a commotion coming from the empty field of occasional pine trees. Still mostly hidden from view, something he was still learning due to his brightly marked pelt but getting better at, he watched as a pack of coyote chased and snapped at a rabbit some yards away. Before he knew it, the rabbit was running right towards him. Suddenly he snapped downwards and trapped the rabbit in his jaws, then lifted his head back to look at the approaching, snarling coyotes.

He'd taken on coyotes before, but not multiple at once. He growled around the body of the rabbit but it did little to ward the pack off. He supposed he could offer them their lunch in exchange for their departure, but this pack of coyotes wasn't a bear looking for berries, this pack of mongrels was looking for meat. Dracun could share the things he didn't really like (or be made to eat), but the things he actually wanted? Hell fucking no. When they didn't disperse, he dropped the rabbit as his paws and growled again, giving them one more chance to leave before some backup showed up and made them regret choosing to stay.

Zagan heard the snarling before he could locate its source, the ominous sound echoing through the sparse pine trees, sending a visceral surge of adrenaline through his veins. His raven companion was already in the sky, flying above the unfolding fight between Dracun and the coyotes, before soaring back down to Zagan. Pack of coyotes. Surrounding Dracun. Danger! Danger! His raven croaked, warning the young Saxe. But it was not enough to keep him at bay. Now that Zagan was a bit older, stronger, and slowly becoming a more perverse creature. He was starting to crave bloodshed, just like his Father.

Tearing through the trees, Zagan lopes across the terrain with frantic energy, driven by unyielding determination. He wanted to fight too. He emerges from the trees, his eyes shimmering with a predatory, feverish gleam, burning with hunger and eyeing his opponents as he joined Dracun’s side. His panther was close behind them, ready to engage in the battle too.

For now, Zagan didn’t say anything to Dracun- his arrival was his declaration of support. The two of them could take the pack on, especially if his panther helped. But perhaps more wolves would join them in the fight.

"Zagan Saxe"

"Prince of Darkness?" Fuck that, I'm the King

He was surrounded by coyotes, facing what could very well be his end if he made one wrong move... especially if no one showed up to help. Thankfully, he wasn't left waiting long and Zagan appeared at his side, the large purple sorta-sibling looking even more menacing with those quills, fangs, and eyes creepier than his own. If there was anyone he was envious of, it was Zagan and Xairo for their more intricately colored fur. Now was not the time to be admiring the bright colors, not when a pack of coyotes were snarling and lunging for an attack.

Dracun didn't hesitate when a coyote leapt towards him from his side. He might be only a child, but his head was still massive and powerful as it swung around with open jaws to grab the coyote by the side of the neck. He only managed to grab fur, easily plucking it from the coyote, but it was enough to distract it from it's real attack. Spitting out the fur, he growled and went in for another go, this time his body turning to reach the coyote. Fangs sank into the flesh of the canids shoulder and the moment his jaw closed and he tasted blood, Dracun twisted his head and jerked the coyote into a second one that was approaching.

The two coyotes toppled to the ground in a pile of yelps and snarls, snapping at each other briefly as they untangled. The one, with a chunk missing from it's shoulder that Dracun swallowed with a morbid smile, watched with shock in its eyes before trying to make a run for it while the other, that had only been hit by the one, was scrambling back and assessing the pair of wolves before it. Dracun wasn't going to let the one get away though, suddenly springing towards it and grabbing it by the tail just in time to drag it to the ground and pin it beneath him. He wanted to make it suffer, but with other coyotes to worry about, he sank his fangs into the throat of the coyote quickly and stepped away to let it bleed out while he focused on the next oncoming attack from another coyote.
