do you wanna build a trap?
Fairytale
Find me where the wild things are Her tour of Southern Boreas seemed to always come back. Not that she minded, except the heat, Boreas was beautiful. She moved with Frank on her heels. Their daily agenda today included finding a spot to trap something for dinner and maybe something she could take back to Auster and work on cultivating. She could definitely see some hogs or something enjoying the area. Perhaps there would be some more waterfowl. The area was swampy enough. Her ears perked at the sound of hogs in the distance. She could hear them snorting and grunting and she stopped with a grin. Having a couple pigs would definitely be a benefit. Not only for their food source but for the fact that if she could domesticate them their manure would be useful for fertilizer. She looked at Frank and nodded. How to trap them though? A pen would make it easier to corner them and get a hold of them so a pen type trap it was. She turned away from the pigs sounds and started looking through the wooded areas. She would need some logs and branches to start with. She started by dragging larger branches to a nice flat spot. This would be a great spot to trap the pigs in. She could just imagine the smile on her dad's face when she unveiled all the hard work she was putting into making sure Norad would rise and be successful. Walk, "Talk", Think |

With a little luck she had the pleasure of not stumbling to her face, thank the stars for that! Ears erect and listening for anything that sounded out of place. Her paws sank into the soft marsh-like land, making her fur wet and honestly she could have lived without that feeling. But she needed to help the band and the woman who had taken her in easily.
She traveled a short distance from the shrine to the swamplands, drawing closer scents assualted her nostrils. Making her sneeze out quickly, which almost made her tumble back a couple steps. The snorts and commotion within the distance, her stomach gave a slight growl. Almost bumping into another, a quick almost silent apologize slipped forth. Tilting her skull slightly. "So sorry. What are you doing?" She asked with her apology. Fairytale waved her tail to the smaller woman as she waited.

She was in the middle of dragging the branches to a pile while she heard another coming but she didn't care. These were unowned lands and she was set on her task. Besides new wolves meant they could end up with a new friendship blossoming. She saw Frank using his antlers to shove a fallen log closer to her trap spot and gave a grin around her branch. That was before the oncoming newcomer practically bowled her over. She stumbled and dropped her branch turning her face to the newcomer about to tell them how that had been sort of rude. but the apology from the other came first, and that was enough to have Trixy forgiving the albino woman. "That's okay, I am pretty short so I guess I am hard to see."
She gave a grin then before moving to grab the branch she had been dragging. "I'm working on making a pen trap for those pigs you hear. I'm gonna chase 'em in here and see if I cant get a couple alive for livestock purposes. Wanna help?" She grabbed the branch and moved it to the pile. When the other agreed to help she nodded towards the log Frank was pushing. "We are gonna use a few logs like the one Frank has there to be the base, he found a good couple and we are gonna use the branches here to build up the walls to keep them from jumping out when they get in and get scared." She was pretty sure if she put a tunnel on it with branches they would be likely to go right in to escape being chased, then they could collapse the tunnel after they were in and take their pick of the pigs. Trixy knew she wanted at least 2 sows and hopefully 2 boars to start the collection.
She began piling the sticks on the logs in a crisscross fashion as Frank moved the larger logs into a trapezoid-like formation. This could take them a minute to do.

She felt ashamed in a sense of self. Not being more careful especially within new lands like this. The other woman spoke, as eyes turned to the small deer creature. Her head tilted slightly once more, he seemed to be helping with stacking the logs. Fairytale's tail danced wildly behind her. As she looked, straining her eyes to focus onto the logs. Turning then to the other woman. "I will help best I can. My eyes aren't the best I will admit."
Her voice became slightly shaky, scared the other would not want the help. She found a few logs and dragged them close, watching as each one was stacked. Placing one on top of the other with effort, taking a minute or so to take a look at her work so far before continuing to stack. "Like this?"

She glanced up at the other woman's handiwork and grinned. "Looks perfect! Just make sure to weave the branches tight so they can't squeeze through them. I'm gonna start working on the funnel tunnel to make sure that it is perfect to collapse behind them when they are all in." She gave a grin. She had no reason to prod about the other's disability. That would be rude.
She moved, grabbing a branch and started laying it in a diagonal on the log, near the opening of the four logs. She then started laying them one over the other, weaving their stems and leafy parts together carefully. This needed to work but also be able to be pushed in and close up when it got pushed in. After that was accomplished she moved to help the other woman finish the walls. the trap would be primitive but should do just fine for the purpose of catching a few pigs. Hopefully they weren't giants though.
