Who else would I call?
erebros, kronos. atticus
Enyo had wasted no time once she returned from her initial exploration. The unease gnawed at her, a worry that refused to abate and she knew it needed to be addressed. This new land that was so close to Insomnia, was too strange and too dangerous to ignore. She wouldn't risk her territory, her family. Certainly not because of some unexpected emergence. After summoning her brothers, Enyo led them back to the location, her stride resolute, her presence demanding their attention and obedience without question.
Erebros, Atticus, and Kronos followed behind her. Their steady footfalls behind, and Enyo took solace in that, though she remained tense. She cast her gaze forward, eyes narrowing as the familiar sight of the stone spikes loomed on the horizon. Despite their ancient appearance, it was undeniable that they were newly erected, yet no one had any recollection of their creation. Such a thing spoke of a power that didn't belong to them, and that in itself was threatening.
As Enyo drew nearer she paused, her broad shoulders stiffened slightly. She glanced toward Erebros, passing over Atticus as it shifted to Kronos b before returning to the spires. She knew her brothers well enough. This land was a threat, and it was far too close to home.
“Look at it,” she spoke her voice carrying a clear edge. “This isn’t something that should have gone unnoticed, yet here it stands. We need to understand it before it understands us. If anything here dares to threaten Insomnia, we eliminate it.” Enyo continued, her sharp gaze never leaving the horizon.

He spoke, his voice holding a dangerous edge. As eyes narrowed looking over towards one of the spires that reached for the skies. "I do not know if they are safe, I have not had the pleasure of studying them as of yet, but I do plan on doing so very soon." He cast a look towards his other siblings and then back to Enyo. He would speak out. "The tremor late at night is what woke me, and I've been here since trying to figure out what these mean." He pointed up to a spire as it held hollowed designs within them. A growl releasing from his maw. "Promise me, none of you's will touch them, just study them. And becareful."

The world had seemingly shifted overnight. Casting the world in a series of tremors that increased with intensity overnight until it waned. He had been unable to sleep within the confines of his den as the world seemed to hunker down to wait it out. And when it stopped...he emerged to find the world cast in a red glow. The sun even unable to penetrate through it. Not fully, anyway. Despite the heat, he heeded Enyo's call and followed his sister to the nearby Caverns, and the sight that met them was unexpected. On edge and wary, Kronos approached beside his siblings, glacial blue eyes scanning the horizon. He had been this way many times, and this would be something they would've been able to see even from Insomnia's lands, and yet...it was something none of them had ever laid eyes on before.
His fur bristled as he observed the spires from afar, the words of both Enyo and Atticus drifting through his ears. Despite better judgment, however, he was a man of curiosity. Of science. Of logic. And yet...this scene was not logical in any sense. It baffled him to say the least. "I make no such promises. After all, the discovery of the world needed investigation. Still, use caution when going near them...who knows what dangers may lurk around here." Glancing at his siblings again, he proceeded forward toward one of the towering spires, noting how they appeared weathered and bleached like bones that had sat out in the sun for ages. He noticed the strange carvings near the base. The soil seemed to shift, and he stepped back, lifting a paw as it seemed to shift beneath his weight. Odd. Narrowing his gaze as he studied the carvings, he could barely discern what had been etched there. But when he laid eyes on a particular carving, he felt his heart race and his fur prickle with a sense of foreboding and danger. A creature he couldn't quite tell what it was, appeared to have a look of terror on it. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

the dunamis siblings gathered around, one by one to investigate the tremors the night before. he followed suit just behind enyo as she led the party and when they arrived, he did not expect what he saw. red skies and spires sticking out like splayed towers. ancient writing on them that they couldn't read. and the uncertainty of it all did not make him scared, but angry. the family was not a scared bunch, yet here they all stood- afraid and superstitious. he snorted, coming near to enyo whilst looking at them all. "Who's to say this is a bad thing? what if this is assist in our mission?" his deep voice rang over the crowd. kronos went forward then, studying it and Érebos approved. following with him, he stood side by side with the counselor of the family. "What do you suspect? A language of some sort?"
It hadn't dawned on her to touch the spires until Atticus asked them to not do such a thing. Despite her brother's caution, it seemed now that perhaps that was what she should do. Enyo said nothing, making no promises. It seemed Kronos had a similar mindset to Enyo. Yes, this place was terrifying and alien.
"This place wasn't here overnight. It did not exist until now. That much is true, I am of sound mind and I have traveled here many times. I would remember. We all can agree to that." She would look, thinking hard. She had a sneaking feeling about the whole situation.
"The tremors were the sound of it emerging. Look at the spikes brothers.... Sharp and wide at the base." She walked forward to one. Her body tensed at the site of a face trapped within. Were they hollow? She would listen, her sharp ears stiff and erect to catch the source of the cry that seemed everywhere around and yet very far away.
She put her paw against one, tapping to see if the spire was hollow. Her right paw slid down to touch the soil beneath, her head tilted in surprise as it gave way. Loose.
"Judging from the tremors, and the shape of the spikes, who is to say this place didn't... didn't dig itself or erect itself from the earth?" She began to dig, feminine intuition gave way. The soil being thrown behind her as she searched for answers. Offering questions as they came to mind without restraint. In hopes that her brother's mind would be led into deep thought.
"Who is to say that with the next tremor, this loose soil won't give way? How deep are these spikes?" She was a warrior, well accustomed to the sound of fear and terror. She knew when something was in agony.
"What exactly is that? I have never seen a creature like this before. That sound... is it underground?" Screams. It reminded her of a scream.
Zephyros would arrive and he would offer himself... as if he wasn't worthy.
"Relax brother. It is foolish to see a threat so near home and not investigate!" They were the most able-bodied. They were the strongest of the strong "If things get dangerous I am sure we all can decide for ourselves when to leave. I, however, am sure it will take much to send us away. I have no fear in the face of death, but I do fear there is something... supernatural. Which means there may be a fate worse than death here." She was nervous to call it that. But surely her brothers felt the heavy weight of the unseen upon them?
"I would like to face the unknown but I would much prefer to do it beside my siblings."

The masculine known as Atticus was ahead further than he wanted, but something was calling to him it felt like. Tearing at him. Beaconing him, as a lighthouse does for sailors during the nightly hours. The light ahead, seemed to pulsate like blood in veins. Or a better way to put it is the pumping of ones heart. He came to stop dangerously close to a large one that was hallowed, the dirt seemed loose under his paws, he then would halt. Bringing up his paw as running it over the stone. It was weird to the touch. The edges and everything else. Something he's never really took witness too.
The stone was smooth but rugged, and warm due to the heat that surrounded all of Boreas. His ears twisted back as he lowered his cranium towards the ground, listening closer.

He listened to the words of his siblings, they were afraid. Skeptical. Unsure. And rightly so. He had never heard of such a phenomenon like this happening before, and yet...here it was. But was it supernatural as Enyo said? He frowned at the thought. He was a man of logic. He didn't believe in the supernatural nor superstition. And while the appearance of these spires did not yet have an explanation, surely there was one. "Easy, Zephyros. No need for such words, after all, everything in life began in some form...these could've very well been pushed from the Earth during the quakes." But what about the sky? He glanced up at the blood red sky, the sun begging to push through. Now that he didn't have an answer for...but he wouldn't focus on that.
At Erebos' question of it possibly being a language, Kronos shrugged. "Not one that I've seen before, but there are many ancient languages from the past, so it is possible." The depiction of the creature with its face contorted in terror, however, still begged for an answer. And yet he had none. Perhaps an ancient beast from the past? Maybe this was what it looked like in its last throes of life? Who was to say? It was strange still, that he and Enyo could hear what sounded like screams...but where were they coming from? Like her, he was curious. He walked around the spire, then went on to another one that sat nearby. This one riddled with what appeared to be webbed openings like a crude cave web. While he was a bit too big to try and climb into one for answers, this one too, had dirt shifting beneath his paws. Carefully, he started pawing away some of the dirt, wondering if he might find more answers beneath the shifting soil.
