he woke this day with something heavy on his mind-, he grew impatient with what he clearly lacked. power.. he itched for it. desired, dreamed about it. instilled from a young age was the pressure to obtain a higher status at all costs. more dunamis were coming and he knew it. his elders mentioned them approaching sometime before winter; and more fluxes would be sent this way as the years went on. nearly a 3 year old, Érebos had to act quickly to lay down the ground work for the clan. and here today, history would make itself. it had to.

so as he walked with the sway of his rounded girth, the enormous wolf called for medusa with a booming howl that traveled all over insomnia territory. surely, other pack mates would hear but he didn't care who included themselves. right now, he wanted the alpha, his wife to battle him. he desired a top tier rank- no more, no less. and he knew medusa's tactics were far from easy. placing himself in a ready stance, his body swelled with adrenaline and anticipation as he waited with a hungry stare. eager to carve his name in the heart of boreas as many times as it fucking took.

A booming call would sound for her. Erebos was calling her, a challenge for a higher rank. Her fur prickled with excitement and anticipation. At last! The first one to challenge her for a higher rank! About damn time! She wasted no time in heading to him. Her lover. Her beloved. Her soon to be husband. Their fight would be intense, she was sure. And she expected no less whenever they tangled in such fierceness. Though her paw wasn't fully healed yet, she was still capable and willing to fight. Nobody would stop her from doing what she wanted, and despite Rue's protests, Medusa ignored her and carried on. She would find her dear Erebos soon enough, a mischievous glint in her eye as she sized him up. Her usual grin plastered to her face as she giggled, head low in her usual stalking manner and eyes cast upward, searing into his own. "Medusa has been waiting for someone to do this for a long, long time! Erebos better not hold back!" She chimed, giggling again as she motioned for her companions to step aside. Today, she would be fighting alone and without assistance. A fair fight, perhaps.

What was all this then? Erebos was calling the Queen for a challenge? Intrigued, the Dunamis male rose from his place beside his den and made his way quickly toward where his brother had called, arriving in time to find him standing before the eccentric Bone Queen. He was interested to see who would come out the victor. Erebos was a formidable fighter, but so was Medusa. And considering their newfound relationship, he wondered if either would hold back against the other...or if they would go at it without hesitance. He sat, eyeing the two boys that seemingly emerged out of nowhere. He shuddered as they cackled, taking a seat nearby. Ripper and Grim were a strange duo...and certainly gave him the creeps! Turning his attention back to the soon-to-be fighting pair, he added "May the Gods watch over you and lend you strength."
