Alaric was starving. Well, not actually starving. He was a fairly well built man with a muscular and heavy build, he was no loner emaciated from his time as a slave. He knew what starving was. This was just extreme hunger. His last attempt at hunting was a simple catch and release. This would be for food, for him to devour. Luckily for him, the scent of pronghorn entered his nostrils and caused his mouth to water. Yes, that would do just fine. Alaric followed the scent as he tracked it, his nose low to the ground.

This brute again?

Their last hunt had gone pretty well. Enyo ran over to him, letting off a deep chuff to announce her arrival. She sniffed the floor to get an idea of what he was tracking today. To her surprise, it was a pronghorn. Quick and agile things. From her previous experience, it was best to chase them into a trap. Such creatures were excellent at cutting sharp angles in a moment's notice.

Enyo would say nothing but dip her head in greeting. waiting for the alabaster man to give her direction. Her cold gaze fixated on the prey ahead. Enyo would use this to gauge how competent Alaric was.

Alaric's head moved from the ground to the even level with his shoulders. He smelt a familiar scent again. The woman was back. He turned his head to see her, dipped his head in a greeting. "There's a pronghorn nearby." He voice was low and calculating. "We'll need some sort of trap to lure one into." He told her, thinking for a brief moment. "One of us could ambush the pronghorn and catch it, while the rest of us herd it towards the one in waiting." He thought out loud, his gaze gauging how well the plan went over in Enyo's mind. "Unless you have anything you want to add in?" He asked out of courtesy. He waited for her to respond. Maul and Cinder stood, ready for their tasks. Their tails in the air and wagging as they waited for commands from their companion.

He would ask Enyo for her input, but she had none to give. Alaric's plan was sound and one she knew she could execute well. She would give him a nod of understanding, but her focus remained on the deer grazing in the distance.

"I supposed you could be the one to take it down. I will lead them to you."

Enyo preferred to do the killing. The woman relished in the violence and bloodshed, but it seemed today she would leave that to Alaric. She didn't mind so long as she got the urge to hunt out the way. Muscles would ripple under her thick pelt as she moved to position. Taking a wide arc and keep low so as to not be spotted by the flighty prey. Despite her heavy figure, paws would move silently. Almost giving the appearance of floating.

"Very well." Alaric nodded and shifted his body to get into position behind a tree. He would wait there, ready to surprise the pronghorn and pin it like a big cat before ending it's life. He looks to Maul and Cinder, nodding his head as he lowered his tone. "Follow her but stay low. Herd the pronghorn towards me, do not let it cut corners." He instructed the two large dogs. The cane corsos nodded, and Maul took the lead to follow behind Enyo quietly. The two dogs kept s respectful distance from the wolf, their bodies lowered to keep themselves less visible to the pronghorn.
