Kick your feet into gear or starve

Sage was exhausted from the summer heat, the sun beating down on her as she navigated her way across the north of the lands. Making sure to avoid the borders of any packs she stumbled upon on her travels. She wanted nothing to do with pack life, she was a wanderer. Free to do as she pleases and go anywhere her heart desires.
Her nubby tail flickered back and forth as she walked aimlessly, enjoying the scenery and sounds of the world around her. That was until her stomach grumbled angrily at her, demanding that she focus her energy on finding food.

The relentless heat makes traveling miserable and the blazing sun calls for shade. Shade. There was plenty of that here in these old woods with trees taller than anything Ezekiel had ever seen before. Yet, as he aimlessly wandered, lost in thought, a flicker of color caught his attention and pulled him from the depths of his mind. A tall woman meanders through the landscape, taking in the scenery around her and something pulls him after her.
Keeping to the shadows, staying downwind, he trails after the fae, tracing details she spies while staying aware of his surroundings. The musk of grizzly bear smacks him square in the nose and he tests the air, noting that she is making her way straight toward the beast’s lair. Usually, he would abandon them to their fate as stupidity was not a desirable trait but no, something keeps him following after her.
When the beast roars, charging through the underbrush toward the stranger, Zeke watches the woman, silently assessing her reaction to the new threat. Would he deem her worthy of his help or would he leave her to the mercy of the mighty grizzly?

As the growling of her stomach grew louder a much louder growl reverberated through her body, a grizzly bear. Unfazed as the beast charged out of its den towards her. She let out a snarl of her own as she glared the beast down. Her father’s voice echoing in the back of her mind, telling her to run away to be a proper lady. It only fueled her desire to help the bear meet its maker.
Her little nub of a tail went still, muscles tensed as she prepared to fight. Dancing with predatory grace as she circled the bear unaware of her audience until she’d spun around the bear and spotted him watching her. Arching her eyebrow at him she called out ”Помогите или потеряйся!” -> (”help or get lost!”) her tone bossy. She didn’t care for the help if the stranger felt the need but she wasn’t some side show, so if he wasn’t going to help kill the creature he needed to scram.

From the shadows he watches her, dual-toned eyes sharply assessing the way she reacts to the appearance of the grizzly bear. The predatory grace that she uses to dance around the beast speaks of a knowledge of fighting and intrigues him even more. Her eyes find him on the sidelines and her gaze hardens as she arches a brow at him and shouts something in a tongue that is foreign to his ears but her tone makes the message loud and clear.
It is bossy, demanding help or departure from Zeke and he stares at her a moment longer before kicking off silently from his hiding spot. Paws easily cross the distance, bringing him up behind the hulking grizzly as it tries to attack the stranger. With a vicious snarl, he launches himself up onto the bear’s back, easily hugging the hulking form and as he bites down on of its soft ears. The bear roars its outrage as blood fills his mouth, causing his pupils to dilate and the familiar dump of adrenaline to hit his veins.
Keeping his hold on the tender area around the appendage, he tosses his head back and deftly removes said ear from the creature’s head. It roars again, this time pain lacing the outrage and attempts to toss its weight into its back paws and stand so that it might shake Ezekiel from its frame but the man is already gone, having slipped easily to the ground after mutilating its head. Blood stains his maw as he dips backward, taking him out of striking range and he readies for his next attack.
A wild smirk is on his lips.

As the stranger rises to the occasion and launches himself on top of the bear she takes the opening he creates, launching forward to attack at the bear’s now exposed side. Teeth and claws dug into the bear’s flesh, ripping and tearing past the fur till it’s warm blood flows into her mouth.
Latching onto it she began to yank and pull at the bear’s side, only letting go as the bear began to rear back from the man’s attack. The bear blood dripped down her maw as she casts a glance at her helper.
”Keep up if you can!” she mused as she circled the bear now, trying to confuse the beast while looking for her next opening. And when she spotted it she didn’t waste her time. Launching for its hind legs she quickly sank her teeth into it tender meats, ripping and tearing as she shook her head violently. The bear roared in pain and turned to swat at her, just narrowly missing her as she rolled out of its grasp.
The adrenaline rush left her grinning and laughing as the bear narrowed its beady little eyes at her.
