Lumi had began her treck in the West after taking a brief break from the frigid North. The red moon cast over the land, and Lumi felt she was becoming accustomed to it. After being in those caves with the wolves for a while, the light was a welcome guest.

What a strange and marvelous land that had a red moon instead of a sun! Or perhaps this was a new season! Or maybe some sort of storm or weather pattern? Lumi couldn't help but marvel. Down in the stream-filled valley, the doe sat on the ground while her companion rinsed and bandaged a small cut on her back left leg. It was nothing to worry about- nothing a little dirt and bandaging wouldn't clear right up. Then she'd be right back on her adventures through the blood-skied land.

The seriousness of strange happenings around these parts was a little lost on Cygnus. How was he to know just how odd everything was, when he knew so little about these lands to begin with? He nosed around The Prominence for a long while, less focused on figuring out what was going on there and far more interested in finding treasure that might be unearthed by the earthquakes.

He'd had no luck thus far though. What kind of treasure hunter am I? he thought forlornly to himself, but he wouldn't dwell on it long, instead choosing to head further west again. The lynx had no doubt there was plenty to still unearth, it was just a matter of where.

Maybe here? His eyes widened slightly as he crested a hill, noting the streams that cut channels through the valley below. Back home he'd found treasures in similar places, washed up along the edges of riverbeds... sniffing at the air he began his descent down, though slowed when he caught the whiff of blood. Subtle, but still.

He was surprised to see the source. A pale deer sat on the ground, her companion helping bandage a wound. Clearing his throat as he approached, Cygnus gave a little flick of his tufted ears. "You alright over there?" He asked, more conversational than genuinely worried for her.

The greenery was soft and welcome. Lumi could smell other deer in the area. It was calm and nice, and had Luminosa been less on edge, she would have really enjoyed this place. She had gotten a chance to graze briefly, eating a quick fill before moving to the sandy shore. The red cast everything in a glow that made the deer wary.

"You alright over there?"

Lumi startled, but that wasn't unusual. She froze with a literal deer-in-the-headlights look. A cat beast stood, tufted ears flicked. "Oh, yes, I'm fine, just a scratch!" she offered in ways of reassuring. "You're not a wolf," she observed very keenly. "Not that that's bad or anything! It's just somewhat unusual, I find, to run into other non-wolves up for conversation in these lands..." Lumi's companion finished the bandage and she righted herself, "See, nothing to be worried about. I just injured myself when a cave suddenly opened."
