⌠ it seems the stir of enyo's most recent endeavor set off a chain of events for the dunamis clan. with his sister striving for greater, how could her patriarch not too? insomnia was simply not enough, and he knew his wife would understand. with his children born, Érebos knew now more than ever he needed to find something more substantial. red would take over soon and losing power did not sit with Erebos Dunamis. he called for his mate, medusa then. seeking her council and permission to depart officially from the pack.. to achieve greatness for his family.⌡

She doted on her pups just like she did with the others when they were young. They were wandering on wobbly legs as they explored the den, and soon they would be old enough to leave it and explore the world outside. Now though, it was nap time for them. She tucked in her little bundles and was going to tend to some business herself, but then she heard her mate calling her. Ears perked at the sound, curious to know what he needed. They had recently gotten married and with it, came his promotion to lead beside her as Insomnia's second. Leaving the pups under Umbra's care for the time being, she slipped out of the gorge and went to find him. It wasn't long before she did find him out in the plains, a smile playing on her lips as she went right over to him, nuzzling into his neck as her tail wagged. "Erebos called?"

⌠ she came warmly as she usually did. coming to nestle in his chest as she asked why he called. smiling lightly back at her, Érebos sighed before speaking. taking his time to savor her presence. "Our children,- there are many." their litter size was quite large. and their features concerned him sometimes, not in a bad way though. however, he went on to touch base on more relevant things at hand. his reason for calling. "You have been there for the dunamis clan for months. and now you are family and the clan matriarch." he started. "I want to expand outside of insomnia. I have skilled up and refined myself to take on something alone." he looked over the horizon before returning his gaze back to hers. "Will you allow me to depart? I know you can lead alone. One of the strongest women I know, after all. partially why I chose you." he smiled at her, eyes soft. ⌡

"Mmhmmm~" Each of her litters had been bigger than the last. They were all healthy and thriving, finding their places in the world. No doubt this latest litter would do the same. She sat down beside him as he spoke, his words music to her ears. Enchanting even. His baritone voice a constant in her life now. He expressed what he wished, the woman taking a deep breath as she considered his words. Was it that time already? She was aware of his ambitions. The ambitions of not only himself, but his clan. Enyo had gone in search of the same thing. And now, it was his turn.

Her mate sought to secure a pack. An admirable endeavor. While she had never considered leading up until she challenged her now dead enemy, she really didn't think Insomnia would've lasted this long. But here it still remained, and sooner or later, Red would take over once she decided it was time for her to retire. Looking back at him, she nodded. "Medusa knows it is important for Erebos. And she will support him while he does this," She said with a firm nod before leaning in to nibble at the underside of his jaw. If she could purr, she would. If he was going to go do this, she wanted just a little treat before the show.
