Eltrys pack challenge <3
Enyo strode into the Boneyard, her form casting a long shadow over the blood-soaked earth. The sky above glowed an ominous crimson, a perfect reflection of the storm within her. This was where the stories of her strength would be carved, not with whispered praise but with the crush of bone and the splatter of blood. This was what she was born for, what her name demanded of her. Destruction.
She wore her daedric armor, each piece gleaming darkly under the crimson sky. It hugged her muscular frame, accentuating every powerful contour of her body. Her sharp-eyed sentinels of the sky circled above, ready to relay every move, every flicker of movement from the assembled crowd. Nothing would be missed.
Stopping in the center of the Boneyard, Enyo raised her head high, her icy eyes scanning the land. She was a titan among mortals, and she would prove it today. With slow, deliberate movements she unfastened the straps of her armor. Each piece fell to the ground with a dull, final thud. She would not rely on the weight of metal to protect her. This victory would be earned in flesh and blood. Her form was still as formidable as ever.
Raw.
Powerful.
Unyielding.
Next, she brought her head down, clamping her jaws onto the protective caps covering her teeth. One by one, she tore them off and spat them aside, each clink echoing in the heavy air. She stood now as she was meant to be, naked of adornment. Bare and ready to fight with every inch of herself.
A true warrior.
Her head tilted back, and a howl ripped from her throat. A terrifying, powerful sound that echoed through the plains, rattling the stones and carrying over the blood-stained ponds. It was a challenge and a promise, a roar that declared her dominance and her unbreakable will. A proclamation.
“Eltrys!” she bellowed, her voice thick and commanding, vibrating with raw intent. "Come forth. Face me."
Her tail flicked, her muscles coiled with anticipation, and her eyes blazed with a hunger for victory. She would show them all what it meant to be Enyo the Goddess of War, the Dragon of Dunamis.
Enyo stood her ground, muscles taut and ready, as she awaited Eltrys’ response to her challenge. This was a critical moment, she could not afford to underestimate the strength of her opponent.
As she prepared her defenses, Enyo shifted her weight, lowering her center of gravity to enhance her stability. She positioned her powerful limbs wide apart, ready to spring into action. Her left ear twitched, attuned to the slightest sounds.
She would expect some words but she would prepare for action.

in the midst of his walk along the battlefield, the dire wolf galloped thunderously upon the terrain. his massive paws pounded on the ground like a heartbeat. the heat of the sun on his obsidian back as he marched with flaring wet nares, his rounded girth swinging with the momentum of his proceed. dual toned eyes searching for a fight to sharpen his skills, gaze hungry and intense. but he's suddenly taken off his course as he hears Enyo's howl filter through the air. a loud call then followed by a roar for eltrys. her choice was surprising to say the least- but pleasant on his ears.
he came then, heeding her call with quickness and eagerness. coming to see his sister standing there without her amor as she stood in a ready stance. a part of Érebos was proud to see his littermate stir such commotion, targeting the noble headache he'd known a few months back. impartial enough not to care and in fact quite happy with the challenge she initiated. enyo would be rewarded for her efforts, staking her claim before the rest while Érebos quietly acquired insomnia under his own belt. she was never one to wait, after all.
what a pleasant birthday gift really-, as the dunamis patriarch came to sit himself along the sidelines- senses vigilant as he awaited for the others to show. "Take what is yours, Enyo Dunamis." he cackled with a deep voice booming across the arena as he sat, itching for blood to be drawn and the amusement to be had. he knew who would win here today. "νικήστε τους(defeat them)."
He knew what was to come, he just didn’t know when. Enyo would claim a home for the Dunamis, a place for them to grow without being restricted by the growing numbers within Insomnia as Medusa nursed pups that belonged to Erebos. Genesis was undecided in the matter, uncertain whether or not he’d rather stay in Insomnia if allowed or to follow his elder sister and settle under her rule. Whose rule would be easiest to sit under? Erebos was no cake walk, and part of him doubted Enyo would be any different.
Her call rang out and he sighed- not in annoyance or anything of the like, aside from the minor inconvenience of having to walk that far at least. It was a knowing sigh- there was no doubt that Enyo would win against this stranger, but then again, he didn’t even know who this stranger was. He wanted to have faith in her, but he certainly hoped that she’d done her research was was targeting a weaker opponent. Was it like Enyo to challenge someone weaker than her though, knowing that she would win, or more like her to challenge someone of potentially similar status just to prove and grow her ego?
It didn’t take him long to arrive, noting that Erebos had already found his place on the side. It was only him for now, but others were soon to arrive he was sure. How he made it before them was a mystery, but not one he would ponder on too long as he took a seat next to Erebos before laying comfortably on the ground, relaxed with a paw curled under itself. Confident in his own way- he didn’t need to puff out his chest and assume a posture- cocky. ”May this be a quick and easy battle, perhaps they’ll even forfeit when they meet her strength,” he thought out loud with a smirk with an amused tone. But what fun was a forfeit? He came to see blood.
he is crude & he will flirt with you.
thread with at your own risk.
The sound cut through the silence like a blade, a howl so fierce and potent that it jolted Redrum from the battle he was currently engaged in. A lone male had answered his call, but the fight had been deeply dissatisfying, a dull encounter with none of the thrill he'd sought. His ears pinned back, twitching with recognition as the voice echoed in the distance, resonant and unmistakable. Enyo.
A flicker of hunger flashed in his eyes, and in a swift, unrestrained motion, Redrum snapped at his opponent’s throat, his jaws clamping down with brutal force. He held the smaller brute until the resistance faded, the body going slack beneath him—not dead, but left in a bruised, bloody, unconscious heap. There was no need for the kill; his attention had already shifted to the voice that hung in the air, laced with a promise of further bloodshed.
Without hesitation, Redrum began to move, a sauntering, tense stride as he followed the call. The path to the Boneyard was laden with the evidence of past battles, but none held his attention in this moment. The scent of old blood, blending with the metallic tang still lingering on his tongue, welcomed him.
And there she was. Bathed in a glow of crimson light, Enyo stood like a force of nature. Armor shed to the ground, her weaponry cast aside it seemed—a declaration that she needed nothing but herself to conquer. This he understood, he had done the same when an opponent faced him with nothing but their teeth and claws. Redrum halted at the edge of the clearing, a silent watcher in the periphery of the gathering, though his red coat was unmistakable. His gaze burned with an intensity that bordered on reverence, his breathing steady as he took in the sight before him. The dark urge within him stirred, twisting and coiling like a serpent, but he held back, noticing her kin to gather in support, though his focus remained solely on her, captivated by the sight of Enyo stripped bare, ready to stake her claim through flesh and fury alone.
Slowly, the crimson brute advanced, positioning himself on the outskirts of her supporters, though keeping his distance. He wanted her to know he was there, his consuming gaze locked onto her with a mix of subtle admiration and something darker, something hungry. Settling in, he readied himself for the inevitable clash, his senses alert, his pulse thrumming with anticipation. This, he knew, was a battle worth watching, one that would leave scars on the earth itself. The grin that cut across his face was one of a deeply unsettling nature, but it was the best show of amusement the brute could manage between his twitching jaw and bloody lips.

The call reached Epimethius's ears, and with a snap of his head and flick of his ears forward he let out a doggish grin. Enyo. A subtle flicker of admiration clung to his gaze as he realized what she was calling for, he felt the excitement coursing through his veins as he began to trudge his way over. The scent of gore clung to this land, it spoke of promises made and broken, of battles lost and one, and of lives taken and just beginning. He shook his body out as he neared the growing group, dipping his head towards Enyo in clear respect and submission. He looked to the group that was gathering and a flicker of recognition settled in his eyes as he found his gaze drawn to the lithe form of Genesis. Before walking to Genesis's side he offered a nod to the other two males that had made their way here, he could smell the pack that Enyo resided in heavy on them all. One looked slightly eerie, but the red brute was far enough away that Epimethius did not think much more of it. If Enyo knew them then Epimethius would not judge them, no matter how they seemed. Enyo knew strength, and it seemed to surround her in every way. He stretched languidly as he reached Genesis's side, offering the male a small smile. His feelings now weren't as big a matter, but he couldn't resist coming to the brute's side. Especially since he could not be at Enyo's hip today. His gaze struck back onto Enyo, he had no doubts she would win today. She was a picture of brute strength, complete and utter determination, and something else that was uniquely her. He knew even if she did manage to get beat today, Enyo would not give up. He respected her, and there was good reason for him too. He wouldn't say anything to Enyo, no banter or compliments or anything. He knew that she would know he believed in her, she had in better or worse terms become the person he looked up to. In the way, a dog loves a master, in the way they offer all their loyalty and trust on a silver platter. Nothing more, nothing less. "Talk"

in the end, it really didn't matter did it? Érebos led them whether he liked it or not & his orders had been clear. 'you will not challenge her'. but if he could help it, he would stay with Érebos. with star. yet zephryos supported enyo in ways she perhaps thought not. would she do the same? the thought of enyo owning a pack was exciting for any dunamis.. but his loyalty was never split. he would follow the word of his patriarch, begrudgingly accepting what came out Érebos' callous mouth. yet he felt envious of the relationship between the two littermates. what was this bubbling feeling?
like everything, he buries it. not tending to it as his attention was taken from his prowl in the boneyard- his steps snapping over the bones of past failures. he looked for scraps of metal, trinkets and machinery for things. he began to find interest in collecting items useful for battle and things alike. and while he wanted to be left alone, the call for battle was too good to ignore when It came from his sister: enyo dunamis.
with rigid steps, the heavy brute went forward with erected ears. his snout leading the way as he finally came into view to see a discarded armor set on the ground and enyo standing to usurp someone named eltrys. his heart thumped, thrilled as adrenaline suddenly filled him, causing muscles to swell and breathing to pick up. all a predatory reaction to the scene he registered, red eyes narrowed and aura defensive. he spotted his family gathering and he took no time to join. his large body coming to sit behind Érebos- his senses as sharp as ever while two hawks of the dunamis flew above & circled over the arena.
zephyros was tense, his scent heavy with aggression indicated within the chemical musk that seeped from his powerhouse body. his body twitching as the tension rose for him, eyes vigilant as he watched with clear vision. his role here was clear. he called out to the patriarch and gene plus whatever else dunamis showed face, speaking in their mother tongue, "προσέξτε για κανένα μουνί. δεν ξέρουμε κανέναν εδώ.(Watch out for any pussies. we dont know anyone here)."
And the move had been done, the puzzles thrown into the fire. Enyo had made her move, a move to secure a pack for themselves. For the Dunamis to finally lay paw in these lands. Show them all the Dumanis meant business and there were no games for them. Actions spoke louder than words and Enyo was proving that today, showing them they weren't afraid to throw themselves to battle in order to obtain what their hearts wanted. Yet she showed no emotions in her eyes, there wasn't any strong emotions rather than simply the responsibility of being there to support her family, out of duty rather than raw love. She sat down near Erebos, eyes of green and blue over Enyo without visible feelings upon them. "Speech" |
Driven by curiosity, the blue colored female headed towards the boneyard, a place she had been at in the past. But it was now that she was seeing a fight taking place in here, wondering if it was a normal occurrence for wolves to issue pack challenges. All were bones and dead, it didn't look like a battle field at all. Though it seemed it was still considered as such.
Lazuli arrived eyes landing on the two wolves she met not long ago. Arydania(Enyo) and Malek(Zephyros) a big smile formed as she went right into sitting next to the large male. "Hey sir Malek!" She greeted happy as she relaxed to watch. Being them her "friends" she was here to support them, unaware they were bad guys.

I'll take another hit to the backbone The call brought the head fighter from his duties. A glance at his current student before dismissing them. Then he was slinking into his den, a click for ruby and a look at his dog. both were ready it seemed. He moved to where his pauldrons lay on the side of his bed, scratched but polished well. He shrugged them on and clasped them tight before he looked to where Lucy sat. She had that look like she was about to protest it. He shook his head at her. He was going and she wouldn't stop him. Eltrys wouldn't face this alone. Both men had sworn to protect the Kedieos in their own way. Bae's was just more volatile. A kiss to Lucy's cheek and a promise to her and he was off. If Eltrys lost today he would be evacuating his family. He made his way then, barking to let El know he had heard loud and clear. He knew the man was for peace but Bae was a man of action. If the challenger's followers decided to get mouthy or badmouth their leader there was a high likelihood the guardian would turn violent. His eyes were hardened and narrowed and his sole ear pressed forward. His dog at his heel as his pace was set slow but not slow enough to miss a thing. Ruby was perched on his shoulder but ready to take off at a moment's notice. He wouldn't be shocked if El caught up and walked in beside him. His arrival came and he passed a glance over the arena. His ear picking up words that brought a wrinkle to his snout. A low growl coming from him. Is this what others believed them? Weak, soft and cowards? Oh how wrong they were. Bae wouldn't be correcting them, yet. But if the jabs at them continued he would be glad to set the monochrome brutes all straight. For now though he made his allegiance known by sitting on the side opposite the contender had chosen, the side Vedia would occupy. Walk, "Talk", Think |

Another challenging call echoed across Auster, alerting the Lord of Cinder to the action about to throw down. The voice called for Eltrys, their neighbor and the new leader of Vedia. It brought a stern frown to Artorias' face. So many packs being challenged, so much chaos being thrown into the order of things... Gathering up his sword just in case and giving a call for any who wished to join him to spectate the challenge, Artorias led the way south to the nearby Boneyard. This place always gave him the creeps...
There was a crowd already gathered by the time the Hallows wolves made their appearance, but unlike last time the fighting had not actually commenced yet. Artorias spotted Eltrys standing against a woman significantly taller than himself, though he did not recognize her. Who he did recognize were the Insomnia wolves once again. Gods dammit, did they have some sort of connection to this stranger?
Masking his sour expression, Artorias led the group over to sit squarely on Eltrys' side. Although he hadn't had many direct interactions with the brute, the Hallows and Ethne had been on friendly terms, and he never enjoyed seeing a good pack of wolves lose their home. He would watch from the defenders' side, offering silent support to Eltrys. All the while keeping his steely gaze out on the crowd in case the gallery decided to get rowdy.

Ember was quite surprised to hear another call challenging a pack so soon after the most recent one. Well, hot damn! Things were getting interesting around here! Knowing her father would be going to spectate, Em wasted no time grabbing her sword from her mantle and hurrying downstairs to join the group of Hallows wolves that wanted to go watch the event. Her sire was unusually quiet all the way to the Boneyard, and Ember could feel his tension radiating off of him like waves. Was he worried they might be challenged to? She wasn't worried about that. But maybe that was the reckless confidence of a young wolf who felt invincible. In her mind, the Hallows could never fall.
Ember followed Artorias all the way around the gathered group of wolves til they found some space over on Eltrys' side, clearly staking their support for Vedia and its alpha. Ember didn't say a word as she settled down on her belly, crossing her paws to get comfortable and prepare to watch the main event. How exciting! She remembered her father's warnings about these kind of events though—watch only, don't get involved.
Little soldier boy The call that rang out sent excitement into the boy's bones. He was rushing after his uncle in a heart beat. A chance to learn and a chance to show his uncle he could remain cool, calm and collected. That he could be mature enough to handle this sort of thing. He didn't have armors or a weapon yet so it was just him and his companions. He kept pace with his uncle and kept on Ember's heels the whole way, making sure to listen as either gave him any directions. But his mind was already sharpened to learn something more today. Hand-paws were concealed as best he could as they found the boneyard. A grin in place on his lips. He loved the place, it was exciting and was a place of wonder for the boy still yet. His eyes of fire settled on the forms in the distance. The boy kept his paws concealed as he followed his uncle to their seats, seemed his uncle supported the current alpha. He guessed he would too. He seated himself, tucking his paws in and wrapping his tail over them. His guard wasn't down but also who the fuck would dream of attacking him with not just Ember but with Artorias there? Besides he was almost a yearling and was here to learn and prove he was able to handle this sort of thing. His uncle would have to take him serious one day if he kept acting like he did right? Of course he was a serious kid anyway. The fight hadn't started yet it seemed and Titus settled his eyes on the contenders. Silence was the only answer anyone speaking to him would receive unless they were one of his family. He wasn't about to embarrass his uncle today. Walk, "Talk", Think |
Titus has a male white Raven by the name of Andrei, assume he is overhead or somewhere watching even if not mentioned.
Bowen as his mother, Artorias as his alpha and uncle, and Briar as his aunt may enter any of his threads regardless of how they are marked until he is a year of age. Bowen has permission to powerplay him as needed.
Enyo’s piercing gaze fixed on Eltrys as he approached, his measured demeanor and smooth introduction met with the icy fire of her dual-colored eyes. She stood motionless, the tension thick enough to choke on. The battlefield was hers now, and she would waste no breath on empty words.
"Names mean little here," she said, her voice thick and velvety, echoing with authority. "Actions do." She shifted her stance, her powerful muscles rippling beneath her dense, rugged fur. "You’ll come to know me well enough, Eltrys. Nothing escapes the jaws of the relentless." Should she lose she would return. Again. Again. Again and again. She would have a crown. She took steps closer to him.
Her voice was cold and sure. She would continue to walk forward towards Eltry as she spoke. "The strong keep what they have, and the rest bend. Nature’s rule. You will bend." Her eyes darted to the oddly colored one, he seemed upset. How weak of him to be angry by nature’s law.
She supposed she would be angry, too if she felt she couldn’t defend what she had.
Enyo noted the arrival of her brothers and a cousin as she spoke, their presence acknowledged only with the briefest flicker of her gaze. The chubby blueberry. Epimethius was there too? Good dog. She saw Redrum, too, the fire of his coat a fleeting distraction she ruthlessly pushed away. There would be no room for anything but victory today, especially with so many showing support for her. In the end, the only support she needed was that of her companions. Foberos and Atromitos, one of which was flying high above while the other watched in the distance. This was a battle, and winning was what she did best. She didn’t waste time on pleasantries or explanations and would not soften it with unnecessary words. She suspected some procrastination but she would not give him the opportunity for such things. It was now or never. The idea of fighting, of blood and power. Such things caused her blood to sing with adrenaline at the very thought. There would be no more talk.
The time was right.
[FIGHTING STARTS BELOW]
With a fierce growl, she surged forward in a powerful charge, her heavy frame thundering toward her opponent. Her ears flattened against her head, and her fur bristled along her spine as she prepared to make her move.
Enyo kicked off the ground as she neared him with her powerful haunches to build momentum for the attack to come. Her toes splayed wide for maximum traction on the ground to ensure balance. With the full force of her left shoulder, she aimed to slam into what would be his right side of his pectoral area. She intended to use her weight to knock him back, hoping to force him off balance and destabilize him with the impact. Immediately after she lowered her body, shifting her weight forward and diving toward his right foreleg.
Simultaneously, Foberos, her peregrine falcon, soared overhead. As soon as Enyo moved to slam into Eltrys, the falcon dived down to target Eltrys’s left eyelid with sharp talons to distract and disorient him, aiming to make Enyo’s attack more effective.
With precision, she lowered her head, tucking her chin to protect her throat as she followed up her initial attack with a lunge toward the foreleg on Eltry’s right. She aimed to sink her teeth deep into the carpal joint, targeting his Extensor Carpi Radialis in an attempt to damage them and limit his movement.
Her posture remained defensive, her back slightly arched and ready to move as soon as she made contact.

Don't go down without a The call For Eltrys brought Trixy, Frank and Charlie all to the battlefield once more. Her armor and dagger were in place as well as Frank's saddle. Her dual colored gaze was set with a stern and hard look. Pack challenges were not the norm, as far as she knew no one but her lately had dared fuck with the order of things. And with Vedia being a close friend and Ally it was only natural that she come in support of El. Though she did know the tones of the Challenger. Would it have been smart to support neither? yes, likely but she wasn't letting everything the pack had done for her fathers and herself go unnoticed. Her dainty paws brought her to the side of Sir Artoias that wasn't occupied. It seemed even the Hallows would Support Eltrys today. At least she wasn't alone in standing for what she knew the pack to be. A pack that aided those that needed. The lands of Ardent could use more like it. The words Enyo spewed in response to being asked her name brought a rise to her hackles. It was only polite to give a name when asked. But the words they struck a chord in Trixy. They sounded like a conquerer and bullies. It was reminiscent of Sephiran's on that day. The relentless? She kept her mouth shut about it though. "Sir Artorias. Pleasure to see you again, sad it's under these circumstances though.....Her words remind me of his and make me wary of what shall happen should she win." The last bit was whispered under her breath to the Lord of Cinder. Her haunches folded neatly and she settled beside the man. She looked up to him as a mentor, just like she did Eltrys. She kept her gaze hardened and locked on the combatants as the fighting began. As much as she wanted to Intervene it was not allowed. Frank settled beside her and Charlie landed on her reindeer's antlers. Bothe were ready to fight at a moment's notice though if someone came at her. Walk, "Talk", Think |
Éldi held the corner of the deer hide taught while his raven finished tying the knot of sinew to keep the hide stretched. It took a great deal of time and work to turn the hide into something soft and pliable. His recent bedding had been soaked and damaged in the rains so he was eager to get the hides replaced. The old man busied himself, focused on his work until a bellowing call sounded for Eltrys. He felt his stomach sink. A pack challenger. Éldi sighed. It would be just his luck to find a pack and get settled in only to have it pulled out from under his paws. But if that were the case why then would the gods lead him here in the first place? Was it to be some type of lesson or message? Wasn't he getting a bit old for that?
Making sure the hide was set he called for his companions and gathered up his armor and weaponry. He didn't know who challenged and had no idea if the gathering crowd would get hostile. He'd seen enough disputes and maims erupt around a challenge to be prepared either way. He arrived to the gathering, noting the faces and mix of pack scents. Noting Bae-Syl he moved to sit down next to the man to watch what would happen as the two wolves began to fight.
"Our character is often revealed at our highs and lows... Be humble at the mountaintops, be steadfast in the valleys. Be faithful in between." - marcandangel.
The irritation of missing her mark lingered briefly, but Enyo did not allow frustration to cloud her mind. As Eltrys rolled clear of her initial assault, she quickly readjusted her defenses. Her ears pinned flat against her skull, and her thick fur bristled along her spine while her eyes narrowed as they tracked Eltrys’s movements.
Eltrys would roll to Enyo’s right and towards her. Enyo attempted to turn quickly to keep Eltrys within her sights as he rolled to her right. However, she did not turn quick enough as she turned her head to the right, catching sight of him closing his jaws around her right hind heel. She picked up her left hind leg just in time to dodge his attempt at pulling her foot out from under her. Pain shot up her right hind leg as his fangs pierced her skin, causing blood to trickle down her heel. Enyo shifted her weight forward, determined to pull free before his grip deepened, effectively lessening the depth of his bite. Reacting swiftly, Enyo pressed her weight onto her forelegs to maintain balance as she pulled away away from Eltrys’s grip before he could cause severe tendon damage. Once she freed herself from his jaws and all her feet were on the ground, Enyo raked her right front paw across the ground, aiming to scatter dirt and bone fragments toward Eltrys’s face to disorient and obscure his vision.
Enyo regained her footing and then pivoted quickly on her front left leg, swinging her body to her left to face him. Her hackles raised as her jaws parted in a snarl that exposed her powerful teeth. Her muscles flexed and were building tension as she crouched down, bending her legs slightly. Ignoring the sting in her hind leg, she lunged forward, scrunching her face and tucking her chin defensively as she tilted her head down to the right. Her jaws were opened aimed at Eltrys’s exposed face. Hoping to capitalize on the injury caused by her falcon’s earlier strike to his left eyelid, her target was his right side of his face, which would be on her left. Her intentions were to cause severe damage by seeking to rend the sensitive flesh of his right levator anguli oculi medialis with her canines and latch onto his right masseter with her lower row of teeth.
