Leora stopped as she found her spot once more, shaking her pelt as she settled into her defensive position. Her head tilted back for a moment to let out a call for a challenger as she readied herself. Chin tucked in covering her vulnerable throat, ears pinned, eyes narrowed, tail fanned out behind her body. She hunkered down against the ground, preparing herself to be able to move on a dime. Her hackles raised along her back. Her toes curled into the dirt, and her nails found traction against the loose dirt. She would learn to be able to protect those she cared for and to be an asset to her future pack during raids. She longed for a place to fit in and to be able to call her home.
