Can you see them shine

Lea moved quickly through the plain as the rising sun began to warm the cool air, the mildew that coated the grass dampening her legs as she moved. She enjoyed the smell of the grass at this time of day, it was comforting in a way. She slowed as she found her spot, she could still smell the faint scent of her past opponents and herself on the ground. She lets out a howl for an opponent as she lowers herself in the defensive stance that had begun to feel all too natural. Chin tucking, eyes narrowing to slits, ears pinned against her skull. Hackles raised along her back as she flags out her now bristling tail. Paws digging into the ground for added traction.
