Despite all his wonderings, Citadel hadn't really gone that far from home. An itch to really explore was thrumming in his bones. He wanted adventure, and learning, and yes maybe a bit of trouble, too. He wanted to shake up his life, and was yet to learn what consequences looked like. He truly believed he was strong enough to get himself our of any trouble.
So when wandered far and wide from home, and caught the scent of a pack he paused. Taking in the strange scent with a sort of thrill. This was another pack. What were the wolves here like. How strong were their warriors? Where they friends of the Armada? He had no idea. He hadn't really paid much attention to his mum's politics classes (boring!) Even if he did know this pack's name. He lingered at the border another moment, and with a sly grin bolted towards the sound of running water. Could he find the falls before someone found him?

Cerberus was on patrol when the scent of another burst through their pack lands. Not a loner, he could tell. The smell was only faintly familiar from being around other large pack events, but otherwise he couldn't pinpoint the Armada. He had never visited himself.
He went into high gear to meet the torpedo darting through their lands, but once he spotted who it was he put himself at ease. If this kid was looking for trouble, it wasn't going to be from him. That didn't mean he would let the kid off on his own path, to Cerberus Obscura was far from an evil pack and he knew the kid could run into the wrong group if he thought it was okay to trespass. Not so much in a hurry, he would trot off behind him.
He did have to move quick since the kid was as well, but when he was close enough to be heard he would call out, "Who do we have here?" He didn't think the boy would keep darting off into the distance surely, he'd be down for a friendly tackle if he needed, but he was a pretty chill guy. At least for a kid.

The sound of the waterfall was growing stronger, but he was a little lost in the dense undergrowth as he struggled to find it. His blood was pounding in his ears, he knew that if he got caught he would be in so much trouble. But sometimes, riks were worth taking. He couldn’t sit at home on his butt and pretend there wasn’t a whole life out the Armada door to explore.
He turned through the bushes and a sudden voice startled him. He’d been so lost in what he was doing, he hadn’t realised the moment another had appeared. How long had this wolf been watching him? Had he seen Citadel’s mad dash, and then confusion through the woods? He considered pushing on and completing his goal, but surprise had made him hesitate. He knew he’d lost any advantage he might have. Instead, he pulled to a stop, and looked at the red wolf, expression mixed between sheepish, and overly innocent puppy bashfulness. “I’m a wolf, ob-” His bear smacked him on the back of his head before he could finish the sentence. He glanced up and glared at his companion, before turning back to the stranger. He tried again. “I’m Citadel.”

It seemed they all came to a halt as Cerberus had the boy's attention. Good, no reason to turn to drastic measures. Cerberus flicked an eye to the bear accompanying him, but really kept his focus on Citadel. "Well hello, I'm Cerberus." his voiced showed kindness through a light smile, it was clear his wasn't going to jump him now that he had been caught. "You know, it's not very smart to trespass. Your friend here could have been seriously hurt had you been separated." He referred to his bear companion, because while he could have defended himself there would be many more wolves to take him down. Predators were far from welcome inside. The boy could have spoke for himself, a bear however made everyone a little more on edge. "Any particular reason you decided to come bolting in unannounced?"

Citadel tilted his head, looking a little confused at that. Why would anyone hurt Rook? He was the better of the two. A little older, a little stronger, a little nicer. “This is Rook” he added, introducing the bear a little belatedly. Any particular reason… Citadel often struggled to voice his motivations and wants. He'd first found that when his parents had apprentice him to Oleander in punishment. The healer had a penchant for questions that were difficult to answer.
“I… wanted to see if I could reach the waterfall before anyone caught me.” He said, opting for truth even if it did sound a little silly now that he was saying it outloud.

Cerberus couldn't relate too much to the boy, he lived a rather sheltered life on The Forgotten Isle growing up. He was happy with his family and his trips out with his father. He wasn't eager to go sprinting through The Hallows for the idea of a fun game. Still, he cut the kid some slack. It may not have been so good if anyone else was on patrol, but Cerberus didn't think so. He was probably too kind for his own good.
"Well, I could still take you to see the falls if you'd like." He offered just a few seconds before calling for his sister. "We'll have to see what the sovereign wants to do with you though." It was mostly a joke because surely Scylla wouldn't do anything rash. Cerberus could take him home himself, he after all couldn't slip by with no consequence. "Where are you from kid?" He asked as he started to take steps towards the falls, that was if he was interested in going.

His tail picked up behind him in small sweep of excitement when the pack wolf offered to show him the falls. So far, this adventure was turning out great actually. He glanced up at Rook, but his bear's expression was serious and impassive. He was still annoyed At the boys impulsive decision. Citadel sighed. Oh well, Rook would get over it.
The mention of someone else deciding what would happen to him didn't phase the boy. “I met a sovereign once, Her name was Scylla. She was a nice lady who killed a crocodile with me, is your sovereign a nice lady too?” He asked, bouncing along behind the older wolf. “I'm from the Armada. It has a market, and a mountain.” He said helpfully.

Cerberus could chuckle to himself as the boy had mentioned meeting Scylla once before, "Well it is indeed the same Sovereign. We should be able to clear this up quite quickly, yeah?" The boy was eager to make it to the falls after Cerberus had offered, and he wouldn't hinder his speed or the way his paws moved to get there. He believed the boy wouldn't go racing off into the trees anymore. Like they were on the same page.
"The Armada, I know of it but I've never been. I've never traveled much in the north." Just little small talk while they finished the young man's journey to the falls and waited for Scylla. It wouldn't be long before they came to the base of the tiered falls. "You've made it." Cerberus commented to what was seemingly Citadel's goal. "Scylla should be here soon."

It wasn't often that Cerberus called for her, so when she heard her brother's voice, the Sovereign dropped her task, washed her paws, and made her way in that direction. The day was nice enough. Nothing to write home about but nothing to cry over either. She'd been working on her newest sedative, all sequestered away within her potions den. It was nice to get out and stretch her legs a bit.
It seemed as though Cerberus was on the move. As she loped along, Scylla caught another scent. An intruder? The call hadn't sounded very pressing. Color her intrigued. When the foliage finally parted and two figured came into view, the cobalt and cream offered a soft huff of amusement. "Citadel?" Dual-toned eyes shifted questioningly to Cerberus as she moved forward to stand between the two brutes. "Are you getting into trouble again?"
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

Citadel perked up at the realisation that this sovereign was one he had met before. Perhaps there had been something in the scent that helped him find his way here? Young and inexperienced as he was, he must not have realised. He grinned at Cerberus, and opened his mouth to say something when the Sovereign herself appeared.
The familiar lady looked different. She looked… smaller, as if she had shrunk since he had seen her last. She moved between him and Cerberus, and he wagged his tail at her. “Hi Lady Sylla!” he greeted her, and had the presence of mind to blush a little. “Home is boring, I just wanted to explore a little…”

Cerberus just watched Citadel as they waited for Scylla, and as the boy went to speak back to him the Sovereign had arrived. Scylla seemed not so upset with the boy intruding, and it seemed their stories matched up. Cerberus may have been way kinder than his sister, but really wouldn't they appear to be the same? Scylla was poking around at the boy's antics, perhaps they could argue they each had a way with kids.
Joining Scylla at her side though not in any menacing way he asked, "What do you suppose we do sister?" A bit teasing, a sideways grin on his maw. Surely she didn't have anything cruel in mind. Cerberus was ready to escort him home. He assumed his parents would be best to deal with his actions.
