Thorn loved roaming the lands and mapping everywhere he went. Perhaps his passion to travel had gone overboard lately with not enough time given to being around his family. So, today he’d asked Sol if he wanted to hang out. Nothing fancy, but a chance to roam the aspen dam, chat about what they were each up to.
Thorn had stories of other places he’d seen, wonderous things he’d seen. Creatures or other wolves he'd battle against, whether as a spar or serious matter. More than talking though he was curious to hear what Sol spent his personal time on when free. How much did they have in common besides blood?
As they continued forward Thorn spotted bear paw prints and with a glance to Sol shifted his gait to follow the path. “Smells recent.”

With all of the time he had spent with Gwyn working on his healing studies he hadn't gotten out of the castle much lately–especially with all the weird shit that was going on–so when Thorn invited him out he was more than eager to take his older brother up on the offer. He had slung his axe over his back and went off toward the Aspen Dam with him without hesitation. He didn't get to spend a ton of time with his siblings since he was the only one that had really taken to learning from their Aunt Gwyn and the other healers so whenever the opportunity came up he always made sure to take it. He loved his family even if they all kind of spread out into their own separate interests.
Their trek out into the aspen forest was quickly derailed, however, when Thorn spotted a set of bear tracks in the mud. Sol's ears perked with interest as his keen gaze was directed down toward the prints and immediately he was on alert. Their parents had warned them about the bears around their home more times than he could possibly count, but he and his brother were adults now and they both had the biggest weapons in the Carpathian armory. They could handle one measly bear! Sol nodded with agreement when Thorn mentioned how recent the bear's scent smelled, confirming it himself as he stepped over the tracks and began following the path with his brother.
"Solaire Carpathius"
