She was getting a lesson one way or another today. While she had only shown up to the party with her fox and owl, the raiding pack had come armed to the teeth with armour and all. She was more than pleased this was just a friendly raid.

Mochi would allow herself to wonder about the other woman's antlered fox when she wasn't doing her level best to not trip and fall on her ass, backpedalling away from the antlers aimed at her face. In what would not be called her brightest moment in hindsight, she figured, hell, why not and snapped at the bony growths angled in her direction. Maybe if she got a hold of them she could use the momentum to knock the other woman off balance?

Teeth met sinew and Majima had to force himself to focus, wanting desperately to rip and tear and rend but forcing himself not to go too far, no matter what his instincts screamed at him. The sharp pain of cat like claws in his face as the boy twisted his foreleg to grip his cheek brought him painfully back to the present. Majima had wanted to get closer so he let himself be pulled in, releasing his grip, though he ducked as he did so, another limb swinging towards him overshooting as a result. Majima grit his teeth, willing to tear his face out of those claws if he had to as he tried to pull down sharply only so he could then try and slam his head back up just as suddenly, barely aware of a bird that landed uselessly on his horns. It would have to choose pretty quickly if it wanted to stay in the danger zone as Majima was attempting to slam his horns into the underside of the other male's jaws, remembering pretty last minute to tilt his head back so he didn't gore the kid with the points. As he shifted his weight back up he fished out a fore paw, seeking to hook that other limb if he could, try and knock the pup off balance enough to maybe just pull him down quicker, though it was admittedly not his focus right this moment. Artorias’ teeth found purchase in Hattori’s shoulder and the Lord of Cinder latched on tight, refusing to let go of his hold on his opponent. In their current grapple, Art would be able to keep good leverage on Hattori, just one good throw away from toppling his foe. The pair of wolves struggled against one another’s might for a time, but Artorias’ powerful jaws held strong. Art felt Hattori begin to twist in his grip, only noticing that the Kaicho was starting to maneuver a strike towards his face when it was too late. Hattori’s horns collided with his chin, rattling Artorias’ head and causing his jaws to clamp down harder on Hattori’s shoulder unintentionally.

Despite the blow, Artorias’ jaws held his grip firm. With a determined snarl, Artorias pushed his weight forward while pulling at Hattori’s shoulder in his jaws, seeking to pull his opponent right off his paws and toss him to the ground, intending to throw him down into a swift pin if the koi king went down.

"Artorias Carpathius"

The prodding of her antlers did indeed get her younger opponent to start backpedaling, but in the end it landed her in a slightly unfortunate position. Her eyes widened as she went to turn her head and realized the Tojo fighter had caught one of her antlers in her jaws. Briar gave a huff with a mix of amusement and annoyance at the girl’s (probably accidental) quick thinking to stop her attack. In response, Briar brought a forepaw up to claw at her opponent’s muzzle and face to try and force her to let go. She wanted to rear back and use both paws, but with her antler caught like this it was all she could do to maintain her balance while trying to free herself.

"Briar Carpathius"

The colliding of their bodies was like a deafening crash to Ember despite the raging battles going on around them. The moment she felt Katsurō's legs give out from under him felt like a victory in its own right, and Ember was quick to brace her paws on the ground to slow herself down so she could round on her opponent. Seeing him toppled back into a seated position with a stunned expression on his face was delightful—but it didn't last. As soon as he was down, he was up again, coming right for her. And oh boy was he big and heavy! Yipping in surprise, Em tried to twist her body out of the way of his, but her smaller size and greater agility could only do so much. She felt the crash of his bulk come down on her hips, knocking her hind end to the ground beneath him and pinning her back legs down.

Ember growled out in frustration, knowing it would be impossible to wriggle free from this position faster than he could start retaliating against her. She did manage to twist about under him to put herself on her side, now able to more readily reach back for him. Not with her jaws though—but with her sharp feline claws. Long legs swung around aimed for Katsurō's face, refraining from aiming for his eyes, but not holding back those razor sharp claws from seeking to slash across his cheek and jaw. If she could make enough of a nuisance or danger of herself to get him to back off a bit, she might still be able to squirm free and get back to her paws. She'd sparred with enough of her dire sized siblings to know how to best someone with a height and weight advantage on her, and Katsurō would be no different.

"Ember Carpathius" | "Carpathian"

Kaizen had fought well in his last raid and hoped to do so again this time. Perhaps even their performance overall would be improved too, with practice came knowledge, or something along those lines anyway. Kaizen had met a couple of Hallowed wolves in his time, but he didn't know them on a personal level, he didn't really have any friends. Just a girl who insisted they were enemies, for reasons he couldn't quite understand.

He watched from the sidelines, brows furrowing as he took in the sight of it all. Their Father and Kaicho had told them to fight well, but not unfairly, so he saw no reason to dog pile into a fight well underway. He would wait his turn.

Although plenty of strange features and mutations ran in his family line, Katsu had only inherited his father's bulk. He should have been more prepared for Ember's claws, but alas, the adrenaline roared in his ears and drowned out his thoughts. Kat saw her writhe and turn beneath his weight but still felt confident that he would come out on top. Even when she rolled like an alligator and flung out her paws towards him, claws outstretched, he didn't understand what was coming for him until he felt the sharp sting of her claws rending his flesh. His skin parted like paper beneath Ember's feline claws, leaving harsh red lines trailing down beneath his eye and skipping across his cheek and muzzle. When he pulled back, furious, he felt the skin there tug as her claws caught and he grunted in pain, but bore it.

Of course, he had underestimated her. Far above, his green pheasant let out an eerie loud call across the bay, as if trying to encourage him not to give up. Katsu shook his head back and forth, splattering Ember and the sand beneath her with his blood. He loosened his hold for just a moment to change his grip, shifting his paw closest to her hips back a few inches and attempting to splay his other paw up by her shoulders. If he succeeded, he'd have her pinned beneath him like a struggling doe he was just about to take a big, delicious bite out of.

As she usually did, Gwyn stayed away from the thick of the fights until she felt like she was needed. However, unlike some of their other raid encounters the tides turned against them far more quickly than anticipated. Everyone had unlucky moments, of course, but the swiftness that she saw multiple of her pack mates submitting to their opponents made her scramble to her paws to help. Normally she would have focused on getting Art up first, but he happened to be on the other side of the crowd from her and the first wolf she came across was none other than Ember’s friend Erik. She crouched down beside him while swiftly pulling supplies out of her pack. ”Here, quickly, take these,” she told him while giving him a dose of pain killers and something to boost his energy. After a quick once over to check for any bite or claw marks that might need a bandage she pulled him to his paws with a nod. With Erik on his way Gwyn turned her attention to the now available Tojo fighters, imminently setting her defenses since she assumed they would be upon her swiftly.

"Gwynevere Carpathius"

The fight behind him a blur, Erik ending up dusted before he could actually sort out which end was up. Cat paws on his face, trying to beckon him back from whatever had taken him over, and then someone else. Gwynevere standing over the boy, offering him drugs. "Tack," a heavy cough, choking down the pills, rolling back to his feet. The boy's study of the battlefield is quick, landing on-- oh.

It's only a heartbeat before Erik charges his older sister. A grin tugging at his features, already trying to strike with his teeth. Not with malice, but something else. Eager. He's eager to show off what he can do, especially after she'd done her time taking care of him. The boy has only grown stronger, and he longs to show her just how much. Teeth reaching for the back of her neck, her ears, anywhere Erik can find purchase. He wants to grab, but knows the danger that lurks within her coat. Pointy crystals, the ram horns-- he'd try to stay well clear of them. Not that he has much of a choice.
