Fuji grinned around her saber teeth, this was fun. Being flung was no new threat so she relaxed her body to make herself as heavy as possible, it wasn't like she was the lightest wolf despite her height. Her honeyed eyes sparkled with mischief as she anticipated his next move, savoring the rush of the fight. Her cat chose that moment to join the fray, sharp claws aimed at her brother's backside with the intent to push a leg forward within reach of her parted jaws. Fuji tensed, ready to snap down and gain the upper hand, maybe even throw him off balance, if only for a moment.

Indeed, Kaizen made a move to challenge Gwynevere. By no means was he vicious about it, made no effort to sneak up on her or catch the woman unaware, but he also saw no reason to hang about either. Even if she was shorter than himself he had no doubt Gwynevere could defend herself well enough, that the Hallowed fighters were talented and worthy opponents.

Closing the distance between himself and the Hallowed Healer, Kaizen made to grab at the protective cloak that furled around her neck. His line of thought was that he could use it to drag her in close and then...counter whatever attack she'd throw his way. Not a particularly thorough or well-thought-out plan, but the yearling had much to learn still, and it showed.

Ember grunted as she pushed Katsuro off of her with a swift kick to his belly, using their momentum to fling the larger wolf off of her before springing to her paws and pouncing atop of him to secure her pin and her victory. Still breathing hard from the fight, Ember took a moment to survey the battlefield, her triumphant expression slowly slipping away as she realized the state her pack was in. Tojo-kai had obliterated their assault, leaving most of their fighters down, including her father. The raid was over before it had truly begun… but the ferocious Carpathian princess wasn’t about to let this be a loss without leaving an impression.

Blue eyes narrowed as she focused on the koi-coated alpha of Tojo, the massive wolf that had bested her sire. If the Hallows was going down, then she was at least taking their leader with them! Leaping off of the downed Katsuro, Ember sprinted for Hattori, aiming to approach from his back and use his blind spot to her advantage. She whistled for her fox, the smaller vulpine racing to the wolf and seeking to dart under and between Hattori’s legs to keep him distracted. Meanwhile Ember shot like a missile at Hattori’s backside, leaping at him in an attempt to pounce onto the bigger wolf’s rump with her feline claws extended so she could grapple onto him. His greater size would mean nothing if he couldn’t hit her, and he couldn’t fight what he couldn’t reach.

"Ember Carpathius" | "Carpathian"

Gwyn's instinct to immediately be on alert as soon as she got Erik back on his paws had been a right one. No sooner than she had her defenses set she spotted a dark coated young man spotted with irregular red spots making his way toward her. She reminded herself that this was a planned raid for practice so there shouldn't be any real reason for her to worry, but she was also so unexperienced on a battlefield that facing anyone that clearly had more experience or training made her nervous. Still, as he lunged for her with his teeth outstretched toward her cloak she backpedaled quickly to try and avoid his attack–only to trip over her own feet and knock herself onto her haunches with a surprised yelp.

Her ears flicked back as her hackles bristled with nervousness, but luckily the black lemur that had been hiding under her cloak jumped into help. Blue scrambled out from under her cloak along the back of her neck with screeches and yells at her opponent, leaping from her back to try and land on the larger man's shoulders. His little hands reached for the younger man's thick scruff and would immediately go to yank on his ears if the Tojo male didn't manage to get out of the way fast enough. If nothing else it was hopefully enough of a distraction for her to have time to get back to her feet and right herself to give this whole fight thing another shot.

Kaizen didn’t know what to expect, but a lemur launching itself at him from underneath her cloak hadn’t been it! Conceding his grip on her cloak, Kaizen felt it’s hands grab at the scruff of his neck, riding him like a bull at a rodeo. It was hard to focus, but Kaizen shook his head rapidly, stumbling to the side with the motion as he dipped his head down, hoping to use the momentum to jab his horns at the Hallowed Healer.

He already felt a stab of embarrassment, because this was hardly the clean and orderly fight he would have preferred.

The Lord of Cinder fought well and proved a challenge for the ageing Kaicho to best. The old-koi didn't have much time to ruminate though as he had another opponent to contend with, Artorias' daughter he presumed, given how familiar she looked. There was no bad blood of course, but he could understand the Princess' desire to avenge her Father, would have thought it a little strange if she had not, frankly.

He heard the thudding of her approaching paws well before he saw her. Even young and relatively inexperienced, she was wise to approach from a blind spot, forcing him to turn and attack, giving her the chance at a first strike. He did not turn quite in time, effort spent in adjusting his stance and spreading his gait to account for the fox weaving under paw. Her claws dug in, enough to make Hattori grimace, ears flitting to the sides in an instinctual show of displeasure.

Quick to retaliate, he lashed around, bending up slightly to snap and reach for her muzzle.

Blue’s efforts to distract and deflect her opponent’s attack had certainly been effective and the fighter let go of her cloak in order to try and shake the little lemur that was riding on his back. However, that failing ended with his head bucking up into her chest as she got back to her paws, knocking the air out of her a bit while his horns jabbed into her and left a sharp ache behind. Luckily between the odd angle and her cloak his horns weren’t enough to break the skin, but it was certainly enough to leave some rough bruising. She stumbled back a bit with a grunt, wincing while doing her best to get back into her approximation of a defensive stance. Just as her lemur lost his grip on the male’s scruff and had to leap off her opponent to avoid being thrown across the clearing, Gwyn gathered up her courage and leapt in to try and bite at the point where the fighter’s foreleg met with his side. She aimed her attack far enough back that she knew he wouldn’t be able to turn his head to reach her and would hopefully be in a tender enough spot to keep him from continuing the fight further… if she was even able to hit him at all.

Ember’s strike is true and she secures her grasp on Hattori’s flanks, hanging off the Kaicho’s backend for dear life as he turned around on her. Her fox was doing its damnedest to keep the titan wolf distracted, but Hattori was a veteran warrior and he would not be thwarted by basic tricks. Ember felt her opponent’s muscles flex and shift as he rounded on her, his jaws snapping at her muzzle. She felt the rake of her opponent’s fangs scrape over her skin, sending a thrill of panic rippling down her spine. Ember clung tight to Hattori’s flanks, her claws holding to his flesh as tight as she could to resist being bucked off the massive wolf. She would not be defeated that easily!

With a surge of strength, Ember pulled herself up, aiming to hoist her smaller frame up over Hattori’s back, her claws extended to be used like ice picks a mountain climber would use to scale a precarious peak. Her jaws parted, seeking to snap down on the Kaicho’s scruff so she could grapple him like a bucking bull. If she could tire out the old wolf before he threw her, she might stand a chance of taking him down!
