Speech // thought // Serbian

Fragile pointed paws slog over the terrain. Wildflower eyes barely caught any details of the world around her. The whispy lengths of fur over her ears, down her sides, and along her tail seem to drape off her slender body as if it weighed a ton.

She stopped at the border of the Cryer's Ravine and not wanting to cause any trouble between packs she asked her traveling companion to please lay Scald's body here. She'll get someone to help... further. She could barely look at Ezekiel, she was grateful for his assistance though. Maybe in another life, or maybe in another time she would have drawn her tail over his shoulder as flirtatious thanks. He had even saved her from falling debris. But not today. She thanked him softly and sent him on his way.

As she sat at the border, she hollowly watched the empty body of the galactic male. As if trying to catch any hint that he was still there. A subtle breath... Anything. She knew she was squeezing stars by hoping. She closed her eyes against the image of him.

She tilted her chin to the sky.

Her voice reached up and sang, hollow and wet, long and low, mourning colored every note.

Having sent the kids and the injured ahead with Gilgamesh and Modesty to scope out the Island and the beaches they would soon be reclaiming as their own, Deluge was hanging back with a few others, just in case any stragglers arrived... though she didn't like the tone of that howl...

The smell of Syndicate curled her muzzle, as she stalked closer, mercurial eyes falling on Morwenna and the crumpled heap beside her. She wouldn't jump to conclusions, not like her mother might, but she knew a dead body when she saw one too. She fought back the bile that rose in her throat.

Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth. "What. Happened."
