She would be moving Valhalla soon, and she wanted Taurig to know. He had been through quite a bit because of Glaciem, and she trusted him after he fought beside them in the war - and more importantly, had his healers help the many that were wounded because of the fighting. His accomplishments there didn't matter to the woman so much as his appearance and willingness to help - and that paired with Erani's feelings toward the man made her warm up to the idea of him being family and Valhalla for the first time being allied with Tortuga. In the end, this pack was his, and Tortuga was just a name that meant something different now than it had while she was growing up.

Chrysanthe would travel to the pack's borders, before raising her head and issuing a howl for the leader. They had a bit to discuss of course - but she wanted to know how he and his warriors were fairing after the war. She also wanted to thank him personally for participating in the siege, even though the two of them had not been the victors. A bit of time would be set aside for Taurig, because they were family now were they not? Connected even if it wasn't by blood. She would do anything for her siblings, and perhaps if the two of them continued to get along, she would feel the same way for him as well.

Valhalla. They were his allies, his extended family. Erani, the ivory healer and warrior, the woman that had taken him in as her own kin, despite having been from the enemy pack at the time. Chrysanthe. The daughter of Erani and his technical adopted sibling. He hadn't seen her since he had left the day of the Seige with his half aunt in tow. How was she faring? How was Valhalla dealing with the aftermath of the war? Surely there had to be some lasting effects on his allies? His worry extended to the valhallans and thoughts of their condition would plague his mind. So many things to worry about, so many to take care of. He would've never imagined that he would end up leader of his own pack with the bastard who sired him hunting for his head. But he wouldn't change a single thing. Perhaps this what he had been meant to do.

Late evening was beginning to settle in. Pinks and oranges would flare up against the tops of the trees, signaling the setting of the sun and beginning of night. And yet Taurig would not feel the pull of sleep. Constant worrying would keep the cobalt Re up, his massive form situated in front of his den, Maija sound asleep within the den's depths. He would listen to her quiet breathing in an effort to calm his churning thoughts. But his momentary peace would be disrupted by a voice he hadn't heard in a good while; Chrysanthe. The Valhallan Queen had traveled all the way from the west to come to his borders? He would wait a moment to catch his Queen's next breath before allowing himself to raise to his paws, the paws that seemed to have memorized their own path to his borders. It would be only a few minutes before he would reach the borders, his scent markers alerting him to his arrival, as well as Chrysanthe's overwhelming scent. Chrysanthe, you're always welcome here. No need to stand at the border. He would call out gently, coming to a stop at he would assume was a respectable distance, blind eyes turned in the direction where her scent was the strongest, waiting for to cross into his kingdom.

Taurig would appear quickly, and Chrysanthe was thankful for his words. Did he really consider her family? Did he truly trust her despite the Armada blood that flowed through him? She was hesitant at first, but the sincerity in his voice would easily cast that out. With appreciation for their unexplored camaraderie, Chrysanthe would step forward, passing over the borders and approaching Taurig. His Kingdom was one that she was unfamiliar with, every smell was different from that of Valhalla, but it smelled so much like him, and the healers and warriors that had come with him during the siege. With ease she would tie this scent to her allies, and it would become familiar and comfortable. "Taurig! I have news for you." She would keep in relatively high spirits for her adopted brother, although she would pause with her splurge of information when she saw his eyes.

Where she had one optic that had faded, was unusable, he had two. Where they were one vibrant, full of life - they were empty now. The woman would visibly freeze, her lips parting just slightly - she didn't even have to ask to know who did this. "No, you too? I was lucky enough to only loose one eye." She didn't know how bitter a subject this was for him, and would tread lightly upon it. "How are you and your people fairing?" The woman would pause, looking away for a moment - before tossing aside her attempts to playing her role of the polite ambassador. It would all slip away, leaving only a woman who was testing the waters at being this man's friend. "What happened Taurig? Why did he do this to you?" Her words were sincere, sweet even. But for all of the caring she felt for him, her blood boiled - for Glaciem had made a victim out of yet another...

Taurig! I have news for you. It had been some time since he had been in the presence of the Valhallan Queen, especially more so in these relatively calm circumstances. From the tone of her voice, she seemed to be in a very good mood and it brought a smile to the Re's features to hear that she was doing good. He was glad to hear that despite the recent events of the seige that she was still keeping her spirits up. Chrysanthe, I'm all ears. He would chide playfully, tail wagging gently between his hocks, tattered ears standing to attention, waiting to hear what the news was about it.

But it seemed that the news would have to wait because his adopted sibling realized that the titan was now blind. He was hoping that his new condition wouldn't be much of a shock to the red faced woman, but the next words that fell from her lips told him otherwise. No, you too? I was lucky enough to only loose one eye. She seemed to be trying to skirt around the subject of his eyes and he was grateful that she was so considerate about it, but the subject of his eyes was no longer a touchy thing. It was something he would have to live with for the rest of his life and there was no use in being touchy about it. You too? You mean you're blind too? Taurig couldn't hide the shock in his words. He had no idea of the battle she had done with Argent because he had left the battlefield long before Chrysanthe's downfall. A tensing of his jaws would be the only sign of discomfort from the Re. It was saddening to know that his adopted sister had had half her sight taken from her. At least she had been spared unlike him.

How are you and your people fairing? We're doing well. A little under stress from the recent events, but with the move everything should ease out a little bit. He could tell that she was trying to be polite by asking about the rest of the pack, but her next question would reveal her real concerns. Argent happened. I made the mistake of spending a night with the silver knight of Glaciem and Isardis got wind, came to find me, and ripped both my eyes and my chances to further procreate from me. Future families don't concern me, I already have all the children I could want with Maija. The only thing that I am truly sorry for is not being able to see my children grow up. It was probably a little bit more than she had bargained for, but he wasn't ashamed of telling her the whole story.
