It really hadn't been her fault.

She'd taken refuge in Lover's Mangrove to wait out the storm rather than off adventuring as she so wanted to be. How exciting would it be to see a tornado rip a tree from the ground? To see the fierce whipping of the branches in the wind, the howling downpour of rain? But it would be expected of students not to be putting themselves in harm's way just for a lark, so Satu had holed up in the safer - and much more boring - Ludicael pack lands.

She'd been there in her den not long ago, boredly watching the lightning lace across the sky - beautiful and fascinating at first, but with days of nothing but drizzle and lightning she was getting tired of it - when she'd gotten the urge to go get a drink. That was it, just a drink. She wasn't wandering out of the territory or anything, just going down to one of the pools to drink.

And now she was here, shivering and shaking and sick as anything. Miserable, she retched, but she'd already been so sick that nothing happened. It was awful, and she just wanted it to stop... she swore she'd stay in her den this time until the storm was over, not leaving or even thinking about leaving until the storm passed, just so long as this nasty sickness would just go away... but she was too miserably shaky and weak to even go track down a healer.

So she remained, oblivious to the rainwater that leaked through her temporary tree shelter to soak her head, curled around her painful stomach.

The rain continued to pour down in large droplets. Lightning flashed throughout the land, giving out a blinding yellow light that shone around the landscape. The femme was mesmerized by it's beauty, but these lights were nothing to sneeze at. One wrong flash downward could end her life in a painful yet terrible way. Her ebony coat began to push downward from the rain that beat against her pelt. Her emerald orbs dark making them look like a mossy color, but, once light shone, they shimmered as if catching the light and sucking it into herself to give her eyes light.

She appeared to have wandered into a somewhat prairie. This place was beautiful. The rain poured down and beat against her even harder since the wind picked up speed. The droplets bent sideways, smacking right into her face, causing small ice shards to mix with the rain, making it feel like she was being stung by a thousand bees. Her claws seeped into the mud, leaving a muddy and new paw print.

A den appeared to be empty, but she didn't know since everything was hiding and taking shelter from the storm that began to increase in intensity. Before she knew it, her paws were causing her form to move, and she didn't argue with it.

She looked around the den and saw a young wolf inside, it had appeared to be weak and cold. Her eyes shown with kindness toward the wolf and walked inside, "May I come in?" Esperanza asked the wolf, not wanting to seem rude if the wolf wanted to be alone or had family it was waiting for. She lied down near the entrance, her face looking inside the den while her back was still outside in the frigid rain.

Novella had been feeling a little out of sorts as of late had had opted to keep her distance from the rest of the pack, her family even included. Right now she wasn't entirely certain what the problem was, though it probably wouldn't be too long before she recalled various facts and managed to put two and two together to realise she was in her first heat. For now, whatever was wrong with her it wasn't going to keep her from her family anymore, not with this horrible weather they were having, she wished to make sure they were all ok.

For a while she had waited at the entrance of her den, mismatched eyes peering out and hoping the storm might die down a little bit. Of course there was no such luck though and eventually the girl had given in and made a break for it. Her first destination had been rather easy to work out really, Song had her family and Howl and Legend were probably close, Anthem she suspected was with one of them. Satu on the other hand, well Novella wasn't sure whether her cousin would have any company or not.

As she neared the spot she believed her cousin's den to be in the girl suddenly slowed her pace. Outside of the den she could see the shape of another wolf who most certainly wasn't Satu. Had she gotten the wrong space? It was a little difficult to tell in this weather, the rain masking and washing away the typical scents that would have alerted her to whether this was her cousin's den or not. Taking her chances she moved closer anyway, this wolf was surely someone in Ludicael if it wasn't her cousin, and if not well then they should not be here in the first place.

It seemed it was perhaps the latter, Novella had no recollection of seeing the black female before. Eyes peeked into the den and without waiting for and invite she pushed past the stranger and moved to her cousin. She'd deal with the other in a moment but for now she was rather worried about Satu. "Satu! What's wrong?" Her cousin certainly did not appear to be in a good state and though she had little idea what to do herself to help her feel better she knew a few wolves that might.
