It was unfortunate that no one had aspired to be their lead healer, she'd high hopes for Lily. It just seemed that she would be much too timid to teach the apprentices. For now, she would do her best to teach what she knew of healing, or at least some basics. Porcelain paws would carry the delicate she wolf to the first of the mangrove trees, her lesson would end up revolving around them anyway it was best to not have to move a group too much. She would smile lightly as she let her haunches coil beneath her. Tiara of alabaster would tip back to let forth a sweet song. She would call all the apprentices to her, and any other in the pack who wished to learn more of the healing lore. As her call tapered off her head would rest back upon her neck as she waited for them to arrive.

Sage heard Song's call as soon as it rang out. The boy wasn't far away, but still couldn't leave in an instant. Some herbs had been picked and collected by the boy and were waiting in a pile near the river. As the boy ran to collect them, he stopped for a quick drink in a stale puddle, not realising the ash collecting at it's edge. The boy snapped up his bundle and started bounding to where Song's call originated.

When the boy arrived he dropped his herb bundle at the base of a tree. Song had told of a healing lesson in her call. Sage brimmed with excitement. What would they learn today? "Hello, Miss Song. You told of healing? I look forward to hearing of your wisdom " The boy bowed his head to the woman before taking a seat in front of the alabaster woman to the left.

Satu

It was so nice not to be sick anymore. She'd been ill for days, but now even the trembling weakness had passed, leaving her back to her exuberant self. She hadn't quite gotten back to exploring the other lands yet, instead sticking mostly to exploring the three lands in the pack's territory. The sudden onset of her sickness had left her feeling a bit nervous about being so far from a healer - she'd been lucky that time that she was right in pack lands. If she'd been in, say, the north exploring, the closest healer would have most likely been in Glaciem. She wasn't sure the current relations between her pack and the northern pack, but she wasn't willing to bet her life on whether or not they'd help her.

Her nerves were keeping her pretty well leashed to the territory, anyway, so she was within earshot when Song sent out a call for the apprentices. Her ears shot up to listen. A class about healing? Well, she wasn't really interested in being a healer, but... Song had said that apprentices needed to take classes, and she was and apprentice, so she'd really need to start figuring out what she wanted to take classes for. Right now it might as well be healing - if she learned the basics, she could take better care of herself if she had a problem while out exploring, and maybe help a fellow explorer out if she came across someone hurt.

As the call quieted, Satu had already made up her mind. Slim legs carried her at a steady lope across the territory, from her perch near Sunset Falls all the way to where Song awaited them at the mangrove forest. She slowed to a halt nearby, where a dark young male was speaking to Song. She waited until the boy had stopped speaking so she didn't interrupt, then moved forward to greet the alpha. "Hi, cousin," she said brightly, brown tail wagging slightly. "Healing lessons, huh? That's pretty important. You don't mind if I join in, do you? Uh, I mean, I'm an apprentice so I guess I'm supposed to take lessons and all anyway, so... hm." She closed her mouth before any more words could escape to make her look even more like an idiot, and gave Song a slightly sheepish smile and a shrug. For being able to tell great stories, she really wasn't that great at actually thinking a real conversation through.

Novella still had very little idea as to which area she aspired to specialise in. Perhaps it was simply her family's choices pushing her, though the young girl had at least decided she was more interested in learning how to fight and heal. Though she had long since recovered from the shock watching Jupiter fight, the ordeal had certainly affected her and she knew she ought to learn to defending and healing herself, and of course in the process others. There were soon to be more new little lives running around Ludicael, more nieces and nephews and though she knew there was an entire pack around to help them develop and to protect them, Novella certainly wished to play a part in these things.

She had already sought out a few lessons in self defence from her sister, though with Song taking over the pack, there had become less and less time for such moments. Healing however she hadn't really been taught anything about that all, not unless you counted the instructions she had been given by Symphony in her shocked state after Jupiter's fight. She highly doubted she had been able to retain any useful information from that day if Symphony had actually attempted to teach her anything in particular.

Apparently it was time to change that fact with Song calling the apprentices forward for a lesson in healing. Novella had been quick to move, not really hesitating at the sound of her sister's howl. She was already on her way before the meaning of the meeting had really registered within her mind, though she continued knowing it was about time she learnt something new not to mention she was actually meant to attend these classes.

Upon arriving at the area, her mismatched eyes were quick to spot the familiar form of her sister along with a male she didn't really know and her cousin, who she was also rather pleased to see. Satu was certainly looking far healthier now, much more like her usual self. Stepping forwards she greeted Song first with a nuzzle and then repeated the action for her cousin, moving to her side to stand in front of Song. "Hello. Good to see you looking better Satu." She commented upon her cousin's health first before looking back to Song. "What are we going to be doing?" Her private lessons had of course been more specialised to what she needed to learn but this could potentially be quite the group and surely some of the wolves would have more experience than others.

Eagerly her first student would bound into the glen, proudly she would watch as the boy offered his bundle of herbs. She was glad to see how much the young boy had learned, but like every wolf he was always learning more. She would smile warmly as he greeted her, the warm feeling of being such a teacher rising up within her. "Hello Sage, hopefully I have something to teach you. It seems you've already taken to the art quite well." she would grow silent but the smile still sat upon her features as her cousin made her way into the clearing. Her voice would greet her, and she seemed slightly unsure of herself. Song would hold back a giggle and instead gently confirm that she should be there, "Hello, Satu! Yes please join us, I'm not sure how many there might be." Satu would shrug, but would hopefully stick around for the lesson. As she looked to the girl another familiar form would make its way into the class, her lovely sister Novella would nuzzle the Oracle affectionately. Song would return the gesture as the younger wolf moved to their cousin. "Hello, sister. Today I'd like to teach you the healing properties of a plant many of you would not look at twice. Considering where we live however I think it's important to know the healing properties of the mangroves." She would look back to the tree behind her for effect. Song really didn't know if anyone else would find their way into the lesson, and would hesitate before she began in earnest. "I don't know that anyone else will show up, so I guess it's best we begin. The first few uses are rather... Similar. If you gather the flowers you can use them as a laxative, while if you ingest the bark it works as a cathartic. The first of which will ease defecation while the later will accelerate it." she would pause for a moment, letting the information sink in, yes it was a rather... Gross topic but you never knew when you would need such information. "The last important healing aspect of our trees is the resin, or in our terms the blood, the scab. This technique is a bit more advanced but after you've gathered the sticky substance find a shallow pool of water or even fill a large leaf with the resin and water. It needs the heat of the sun to activate, but once it has steeped in heated water you can alleviate muscle and back strains. Or even simple back pain." again she would come to a close to let them accept the knowledge. "Does anyone have a question? I'll do my best to answer." such would conclude the amount of information she had on the mangroves.?

Truth be told Novella didn't really look at most of the plants twice. The secrets that each plant may have held were completely unknown to the young Destruction girl though it was a fact she was once content to live with. She hadn't ever really gotten the chance to see the need for healing first hand, not before her journey to Alacritis anyway. Overwhelmed it had certainly taken her a good while to clear her mind and try to work out what she wanted to do, still she was relatively clueless really, though the lessons would at least hopefully provide her with some valuable lessons before she had to make any sort of decision.

Quietly she listened as Song spoke about the different healing uses of the mangroves. Her sister's statements were detailed enough she thought, though already Novella couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by the knowledge. One plant and there were three different things it could be used for, with so many plants in the world, how on earth was it possible to retain this knowledge?
