He had found his family! He had somehow managed to find other Black wolves. The rumors had turned out to hold truth and the gargantuan was more than overjoyed. He wasn't alone anymore. He knew who his family was. Or at least who some of them were. From what Angel and Twig had told him, there were still several other siblings that he had yet to meet, pretty much all of them younger than himself. He was beginning to think that he was one of the eldest, if not the only eldest Black in the Clan as of now, unless his parents were still alive somewhere. Regardless of how old he was in regards to the rest of his family, the man was just glad that he had been able to meet them. Having found Angel and Twig gave Pulsus hope that he would begin to run into more Blacks around this place called Alacritis and that hopefully soon he would have a gathering with all of his siblings. He would have his family back soon.

Since finding Angel and Twig, everything just looked more...beautiful. The man was suddenly more appreciative of the world around him. Though his joy didn't mean he was going to start prancing around like a pup, howling his happiness, there was a change in his features, a light in his mismatched eyes that wasn't there before. Life was changing and it was changing for the better. The early morning sun crested over the horizon, bathing the waking world in a warm golden glow, chasing away the shadows of the night. He had stumbled across a plain, broad and flat as far as the eye could see, with no trees in sight, just what appeared to be endless miles of undisturbed grass. And with the coming spring, the grass was lush and full, waving gently in the morning breeze. Pulsus would stand in the middle of field, or at least where it seemed to be the middle, just enjoying the view. His ghostly ivory and sooty fur was tossed back and forth and all around, but he didn't mind. It was a beautiful morning after all and a little wind couldn't dampen his mood.

Thoughts

The soft breeze caressed the ivory fae's slender physique. A heavy breath was taken in as she stood upon the edge of the flatlands, allowing her visage to relax, her lavender gaze closed for a moment. Inhaling the fresh morning air, damp and with a crisp, lightly chilled bite. Her lungs filled as did her heart. A feeling of everlasting relaxation overtook her bodice and she exhaled slowly, allowing her gaze to open with her escaping breath, her already tousled ivory pelt tossed and flowed against the sharper winds, not allowing it to bother her, she took in the landscape before her, her mind at a stand still as she did nothing but watch.

The ends of long, dry grass stalks kissed at the petite fae's elbows and hocks. Her lavender optics a glow against the golden, sun kissed field, flat as could be, and flowing with the winds like a never ending sea. She took it upon herself to stretch her legs a bit, allow her pads to feel the earth below her in a feeling of pure ecstasy. She took off, her delicate feet carrying her over the fields, her pelt matching the flow of the golden waves. For a moment again her optics closed, her mind clear of thought and precaution to possible predation or sudden attack by an unknown canine. She picked up her speed, heading into the open fields without a possible hindrance in sight. Although this was rare for the fae, she enjoyed herself for as long as she allowed herself to sprint, not giving a care to the world around her for that short time of letting loose. But quickly she would realize her mistake, allowing herself to fall vulnerable as the scent of another reached her flaring, obsidian nostrils. She slowed down for a moment, allowing herself to slowly come down to a delicate, silent pad over the sun kissed meadow she stood in, standing out with the snow pelt she dawned ever so well. A moment had passed as her dial stayed in one direction turned, her auds swiveled to catch sound of the one she could smell but to no avail. Gently her vocals cracked into a sound barely above a whisper, "Hello?..." She awaited a reply, her once clear mind now gaining a cloudier, thought still relaxed filling. Not allowing herself to set alarm, the fae relaxed, awaiting another sign of the one near her.

The mammoth had thought himself to be alone in the vast field, having scented no one when he'd arrived, but as the sun began to rise higher into the sky, lighting up the plain, he would realize that he was mistaken. A figure of ivory, nearly identical to his own save for his sooty marks, could be seen at a distance, looking very much like something otherworldly, heavenly even. He would watch the figure with sudden interest as it bounded forward, moving through the field as if it were floating. He would watch in quiet fascination, unable to quite comprehend how the creature that he now identified to be a wolf, could do such a thing in such an environment. Sure, wolves were the top predators for the most part, but the titan was sure there were bound to be other creatures around who were possibly bigger and badder than any wolf around and yet this wolf didn't seem to care. It was...odd. But not in a bad way. It was a good different he supposed.

And then the wolf's dash through the grass (that rhymed XD) would come to a stop and a passing breeze would bring a scent along; female. So the creature was a she-wolf. She was close enough that details were clear to him now and he could see that her eyes were a lavender, much lighter to his dark amethyst. Were purple eyes a common thing around these parts, or was it just something particular to white wolves? He would never know. Her soft voice would breach across the expanse between them; clearly she had detected his presence. Goodmorning to you ma'am. He would call out, hoping that he would come off as friendly. He didn't look that big at a distance, though if she were to come closer, that was sure to change.

Thoughts

For the first time in a long time, the snow colored fae felt unbelievably free. Like weights were shedding from her slender body like a winter coat, slow and deliberate with each great stride she reached for, each time with greater eagerness than the one before it. Each meeting of her wide paws to the earth was like ecstasy reaching her mind, each muscle in her body contracting perfectly as she focused on the path before her, feeling the ends of the golden grass kiss at her belly as she reached a rather tall set of wheat and meadow grass.

His scent became stronger, and as the fae slowed down to a gentle trot, she allowed her silence to grow for a while longer before speaking out. Her lavender optics slowly encasing the brute before her. His vocals were kindly as were his mannerisms. She sensed nothing but humble neutrality from the snow and obsidian colored brute. A single brow raised as she looked at him with no reply on her lips yet. Lavender optics looked at him with obscurity at his rather different appearance, like a painted canine.

A gentle yet kind smile, hardly readable flickered across the fae's delicate visage. "Good morning, monsieur." Her angelic vocals poured forth, still light and hardly above a whisper in reply to him. Her auds laid back delicately and her optics relaxed as she watched the male, coming to a complete stop as she remained directly before him about eight feet away. Upon reaching her final place to stop, her chest lifted and the petite fae starred at the brute, taken aback by his extremely large height and size. She caught herself starring, not moving her ivory frame for a while, merely looking at the brute with a touch of 'awe' behind her calm features. She relaxed a bit upon adjusting to the males massive size, blinking a few times her eyes softened even further and she spoke out again, "I apologize if i've caused alarm, I was only... Out for a walk." Catching herself pausing the fae laid her auds against her scull gently, her snowy features blowing ever so gently with the breeze, like waves their fluttered about her slender bodice. Her paws were brought together and she carefully allowed herself to to be seated, like a feline she gently lowered her flexible hips to the earth, her long, balancing tail curling around to nearly touch her forepaws, all the while she watched the brute, keeping an eye out for any signs of potential caution.

He could see the young woman analyze him from the distance, her lighter lavender gaze running across his figure. She was sure to notice the dark markings that he wore on the right side of his body and across his face, but the cross he bore on his left shoulder was sure to be disguised from her eyes; until she got closer of course. Good morning, monsieur. Monsieur. He had never heard that word before. It sounded like it came from a foreign tongue, but the man would keep his question to himself. He wasn't that terribly curious that he had to ask. It wasn't familiar to him anyways, and he was sure that at least it wasn't an insult. Her demeanor was much too friendly and relaxed for her to be throwing fowl words to him. Her voice was so light, so soft that Pulsus found himself taking a step forward, sooty and ivory ears straining forward to catch her gentle lyrics. She would take the chance to close the distance between them, leaving only a few feet of space to separate them, but even then it was not enough to disguise his size. He could tell that his size had dawned on her, her expression changing into one of awe. Hardly anyone looked at the Black man liked that; most expressions were of fear or wariness. She was in awe of his size. That was a first.

I apologize if i've caused alarm, I was only... Out for a walk. Pulsus would shake his massive skull slightly in quiet dismissal of the woman's apology. You have caused no alarm miss. I must apologize for it seems I have interrupted your walk this morning. Forgive me it was not my intention. He would allow his skull to dip forward in a gentle bow, hoping that the woman would not take much offense to his intrusion. He had believed himself to be alone in the massive field, but his assumption had been incorrect this time around. Though...he wasn't sure if it had been such a bad thing that he was wrong.

Thoughts

A single aud twitched unexpectedly. Her attention pulled from gauging at the size of this male, maybe half his size, the snowy fae began to get second thoughts on approaching a brute of this size so nonchalantly. His kind expressions and persona can tell a different story of the stranger, though she decided to stop thinking so fully into the idea. The feeling in the air of this meeting hadn't changed, and so why would the fae think his kinds would fade into something brutish and unruly just because of his size? You couldn't blame her, being around males so large was rare for her, not to mention with such different markings and eye color. The young fae was positively amazed. Her auds peeled back gently as she caught herself starring, just as the brute had caught the same. Clearing her throat for a moment she averted her lavender gaze gently.

She blinked her long snowy eye lashes at his reply to her apology. A small smile curling at her maw, her cheeks perking a bit though hardly noticeable. She sat herself up straighter where she was seated still, her delicate snowy silver tail curling a bit tighter at her forepaws still meeting in front of her. Her tone this time was lighter as she felt the need to hurry her words to correct him, nearly speaking over the male her angelic voice poured out, a french accent behind every word, "Oh no, monsieur. Please do not apologize, as far as I can tell these lands are not claimed, we are both free to run... I mean... walk, if we please." She corrected herself mid sentence, still not wanted the brute to think she was fleeing from a poor situation or even just running for her own amusement. The reserved fae just wanted this kindly brute to understand. "Either way, my name is Cygnet." A gentle and kind smile curled across the elegant fae's slender maw as she spoke lightly yet again, reserved and polite as she was taught to be.

This particular meeting with the snowy woman was something rather unusual. Wraith was usually good about keeping to himself and maintaining a distance from others, but this particular woman just...didn't fit with that. She didn't make him want to move away from her, but instead move closer. Which was odd. For what reasons he wouldn't know, but he was actually enjoying the woman's company, even if he had by accident ruined her outing. He would catch her gaze lingering on his features and his ivory lips would twitch ever so slightly, a hint of a smile tugging at them. He found it quite amusing that she was so bemused by his size. Did she not run into wolves of his mass where she came from? He hadn't run into any other wolves who could rival his size as of late, but he was sure there had to be some other massive wolves around somewhere. There was just no way he was the only one.

As his reply registered with her, a smile would lift her lips, her features brightening considerably with the action, highlighting her lighter lavender optics. Her posture would straighten after a moment as her words would pour frmo her jaws in a flurry, barely a second after he had finished. She seemed determined to prove him wrong in his need to apologize, claiming that they were both free to wander this piece of land as much as they wanted. Either way, my name is Cygnet. Cygnet. Cygnet. That was certainly a different name, though hers sounded a bit more manageable than his own. It is a pleasure Miss Cygnet, I am Pulsus Wraith Black. Massive skull would tilt towards in green, sooty right forelimb bending ever so slightly in accompaniment to his head bow before allowing himself to return to his former position. Would you like to continue your walk Miss Cygnet? He would quiet ask, wondering if she would invite him along. It was clear there no relatives of his were wandering around the area, so if this dove asked him to join her, he would not decline. There was an off chance she could know where others of the Black Clan resided. Or she could not. It was a game of chance and Pulsus had time to play along.

Thoughts

The petite figured fae stayed where she was for now, not hesitant of moving forth to introduce herself better, but also not backwards being wary of the brute. She merely relaxed where she was, elegant figure curved into her sitting position. Wide paws flexed for a moment as the brute spoke once again. Her nails digging into the earth at his mention of his name, Black? She had to admit it sounded familiar, though this man was obviously new to her. Being new herself to these lands, she felt fairly out of line on these unfamiliar areas as it was. Though, every once in a while with meetings like this, she would suddenly feel less like an alien, and more accepted in such strange lands. The kindness this brute was showing was a breath of fresh air, nonetheless.

A gentle laugh escaped her vocals, hardly a sound was heard, though upon the wind it traveled only for a moment. "A pleasure to meet you, monsieur Black." The french in her words were heavier this time the more comfortable the fae got. She blinked her lavender gaze, still catching herself starring at the brute every once in a while. Another smile slowly crossed her maw as yet another wave of breeze flew by them both, shaking the long snow and silver highlighted pelt that formed about the fae's physique. She said nothing for a moment, and instead she carefully rose from her sitting position and turned to walk away from the male without a single word. But before completely allowing her steps to carry her off the fae playfully looked back, speaking out as if surprised, "Won't you join me, monsieur Pulsus?" She spoke quickly, angelic voice pouring out from the small dove.

OOC: Oh man that was crappy, I apologize!

For this being his first time being around another female that wasn't his adopted mother, Pulsus didn't think he was doing too bad. Then again, he didn't have many female interactions, if any, to base his current alleged success on, so he could in fact be making a total idiot of himself without knowing it. Not that he would know how to make an idiot out of himself. The Black man had always been quite serious brute, even as a child growing up, so playing and fooling around weren't things that he was familiar with. Emotions were hardly a thing seen displayed on Wraith's features, but Cygent was just so infectious with her smiles that he felt himself wanting to smile along with her. She reminded him of his mother, such a tender soul, kind and caring. She was the only one who ever saw Pulsus smile, but perhaps in this new land that could change.

A pleasure to meet you, monsieur Black. Her heavily accented voice would pull the man from his thoughts, amethyst and icy gaze refocusing on her lithe figure. The stray breeze the swept in sent her snowy coat into disarray while at the same time messing around with his own, making him appear that much larger than he was until the wind settled down and allowed his fur to return to its place. There would a be a moment of silence after his question, followed by Cygnet rising to turn away from him, appearing if she were taking her leave. He would look after her with hidden surprise, taking that as her silent way of dismissing him. With a gentle shrug to himself the titan would get ready to make his own departure, barely about to turn around when suddenly Cygent called out to him, his name on her tongue causing a strange feeling in the brute. Won't you join me, monsieur Pulsus? Without question the man would turn back, massive sooty and ivory paws pulling him forward as he moved towards the snowy dove. He didn't quite understand what exactly had just happened, but he wouldn't dwell on it. He would pull up beside the woman, gazing down expectantly at her, waiting to see if they would continue onwards or if they would sit and chat once more.

Thoughts

The fae looked on towards the brute with a curious though understanding tone in her lavender eyes. She could tell they were both wildly curious about the other, though at the same time extremely hesitant to move forward as well. Pulsus was the first wolf the dame has come across in quite some time, and although she has always been a quiet type of fae, loneliness has never been something that suited her well. She liked company, and the enjoyment of having another around. Lately it had only been her, a submissive yet surprisingly powerful snow white fae on her own, small and lithe in appearance though quick witted and coy. Being on her own for the last few months has not been short of... Well... Lonlely.

She watched him still with a curious gaze, always sure to listen to what she was going to say prior to letting the words slip through her tongue. She genuinely wanted the brute to follow her, and in asking him to do so she figured she might have some fun with it. She glanced his direction before slowly moving forward, her wide paws flicking away tap golden grasses from the narrow path she had created for herself, awaiting the brute to join her at her side if he wished. A silence passed between them but she watched his movements to join her, a small smile crossing the fae's long, snowy maw gently as the brute caught up. The fae had always been brought up with a rather polite and very kindly family consisting of only females, brute's would wander in and out of the pack without staying long, pups were cared for and chased away, and Cygnet knew much of the livelihood of being a dame in the hierarchy of the pack. Only recently had she run into other females who had driven their authority upwards to be the ruler of their packs, something she admired but preferred her own life of caring for the other doves who belonged. Pulsus was the type of brute she would see wander in and out of her mother's and her aunt's lives, a kindly soul but there was something distant about them as well, something that the white fae thought was different about him. Not wanting to dwell on it any further, she decided to speak out, "So monsieur Pulsus, you are a lone one around these parts, no?" She questioned him outright.

For the first time in a long time, the urgent need to go out in search of his family was quiet. Pulsus didn't feel like he needed to scour the lands from dawn to dusk until he found a trace of his family. He was more than content to stay beside the woman Cygent for the rest of the day if she so wished and just spending it talking or walking or whatever it was that she wanted to do. It was a strange feeling he would admit that, but he wouldn't be afraid to admit that it was one that he liked. It was nice to not have a constant pressure at the back of his skull, demanding that he never stop looking. More often than rumors tended to be based off of some inkling of truth and the Black man had faith that the rumors would hold true. These lands were expansive in their own right, there was a very big chance that his family was really here. Spending some time with the lovely Cygnet would not mean that they would be gone by the next dawn. And if they so happened to disappear while he had put a hold on his search, the man would have no problem tracking them down to wherever they had wandered off to. But for now, he would simply enjoy his time with the ivory dove.

So monsieur Pulsus, you are a lone one around these parts, no? She wasn't shy to ask about what was on her mind and that was something the knight admired about the woman. He would take a moment to gather his thoughts, making sure that they made sense before he would allow them to slip from ivory jaws. For time being miss Cygnet, I indeed am alone in these lands. But I intend to change that soon, once I am able to recover my family. He would stop himself before he divulged too much, knowing that even though his struggles would mean little to her, he didn't have to go dumping them on her looking for some pity. Because pity was the last thing that the Wraith was looking for from anyone.

Thoughts

A twitch fell over the fae's top line, something of a shiver as it fell down over her spine. Straightening her back as she stood, the dove gazed at the massive brute in a bit of distance still. Her visage was a clean slate, open to emotion, though as she watched the large male she couldn't help but fall silent for a while, merely remaining where she was, watching him reach close to her side nearly towering over the ivory pelted fae.

Her auds fell backwards against her skull slowly as they walked forward slowly, her small, silent steps reaching delicately in front of her, though her attention remained detained on him. Making sure she made no sudden or mistakes in her manner or level of communication, the fae blinked and casually kept her attention between the brute and her footsteps, gentle lavender gaze falling from his thick black shoulder back down to her delicate, small paws. His hesitation to join her made the fae think a few times over about her hastiness to be with the brute. She simply realized she may have spoken out of turn both then, and of course now when asking him about his lifestyle and if her were alone in these parts. She was a smart dove in many ways, and when she wasn't speaking, she was more or less thinking rather quickly about things. This brute was different, the type she knew she could feel comfortable around, but there was another part of him that made her stop and think for a moment before asking such questions of him, as well as allowing herself to be so easily near this stranger. Blinking her soft gaze for a moment the silent fae spoke out in reply, momentarily pushing her worried thoughts aside.

She looked up at him for a short while, auds perking forward for a moment, "Oh, I see, monsieur... I am sorry if I spoke out of turn... Sometimes my curiosity gets away from me, and my words follow." Her lavender eyes remained forward as they walked, head falling low for a moment and her tail staying down between her hocks.
