Red eyes were wide with wonder as the female gazed out at the large expanse of water in front of her. The bay was a neat place, and never before had she seen so much water in one place. Ears were perked forward in curiosity. The water was dark, and different fish definitely moved within. She had debated going for a swim, that was until she saw a large fin break the surface of the water. She had no idea what kind of fish would be that big but she wasn't about to get into the water with it. Slowly she would have her dark reddish-brown paws start moving forward, down the sandy beach. Her gaze kept flicking towards the water, searching to see if she could spot that huge fish again. The damn thing was porbably as long as she was... there was no one it could have a fin that big and not be long as well. The female would frown a bit to herself, taking in a breath of air. The water here smelled a little different too, now that she thought about it. Probably wouldn't be too wise to drink it.

After a while of wandering down the beach Akemi would wander up away from the water and lay down in the sand. The spring sun was pretty warm today, perhaps a little more so than average, and it felt wonderful against her fur. The small female would curl up, tail around her nose, as she closed her eyes. She was glad that she had found somewhere new in these lands. It seemed Alacritia was full of surprises just waiting to be discovered. The femme would let a small smile come to her face as she slowly drifted off into a nice little nap. It was too much get up and go... even a little fireball like her needed rest.

And from the darkness
We shall all be reborn

Razo walked the shoreline in search of tide pools. The current had swept the sea away for now, and with any luck he might come across a fish stuck behind in the dips and rivets of the earth. With dedication he could crack a mussel or two, if he found a cluster, but it was often more trouble than it was worth. The taste was an indulgence he enjoyed, as was seafood in general, but he had rarely been able to enjoy it before leaving the militants. He had been scorned for enjoying anything other than bloody, red meat, and besides there had rarely been the time. Fishing was an art that took patience and delicate skill; two concepts he had not been familiarized with. So far, though, he had not found much worth his time.

Luck struck him at midday, as he came upon a rather distressed looking codfish, floundering about in a pool far too small for it's respectable size. With a grin, the hulking brute lunged forward and snapped the fish up into his jaws. It fought his grip bodily, buffeting the man's face with tail and fins, and Razo skittered back from the shore line just in case it battled free of his grip. With crushed forced the man clenched his jaws, crushing it's skeletal system and organs. Slowly the thrashing calmed. Feeling proud of himself, the man turned, and came quite unexpectedly upon a fae laying just behind him. He realized then how ridiculous he must have appeared, fishing hanging from his mouth, damp now from the venture, drops falling onto the sand. He couldn't even clear his throat to relieve the awkwardness, fish-in-mouth and all. And so it was, with great awkwardness and uncertainty, that he stared.

Akemi would drift off to sleep, warmed by the spring sun and lulled to dream land by the sound of the water. It was a relaxing sound in her mind, something that wasn't necessarily the most common thing in her life. Time to just relax and pay little mind to the outside world had been hard to come by, but she was finding it a bit easier now that she had convinced herself that she didn't need to be so uptight and snippy all the time. A good part of that was because of her fight with her siblings, though it was really only for Baldur that she was trying to calm her aggressive streak. He was one of the odd ones out in the family, one who cared for her deeply, and was still looking out for her. The small brown and cream fae had felt much better after speaking with him and apologizing for her harshness, and after she had parted ways with him, making a silent promise to herself, Akemi would start trying to be kinder to all wolves, and not just her family. It had occured to her that, even if she wasn't the best fighter, she didn't need to be aggressive to win some love and affection from her family. Though that didn't mean she was going to give up on trying to get stronger and show her family that she could take care of herself.

The sound of splashing water and the wet "thwack, thwack" of something wet hitting something else awoke her. She would lift her head, blinking with surprise. There was a brute standing not too far from her, a fish slapping him with it's tail in his face. She would surpress a giggle, watching the other with amused red eyes. He was larger than herself by quite a bit, not that there was much of a surprise there. She knew he was merely trying to get a meal, but honestly he looked so amusing as he went about it. Then the look on his face when he turned, staring at her once the fish had taken it's last gasp for air. Akemi would get to her paws, managing to keep from laughing, though it was clear she was amused by the look in her bright red orbs and the oddly warm smile on her face. Her darker ears would tip forward, and she would raise a brown, a soft, almost teasing tone coming from her mouth. "Finally manage to get the catch of the day?" She would ask. It was a yes or no question, so the brute wouldn't necessarily have to put his meal down to answer her. She honestly wasn't expecting him to stick around long -- just take his meal and go. Though part of her wondered what it might be like to have a positive interaction with another wolf. Particularly a male. She wasn't too keen on the idea yet of a male other than one of her bloodline having children... but she figured perhaps that was because she simply didn't know any other worthy males. All of those she had met thus far had been, well, cruel at heart. Would this male be different? Or just another passerby?
