And who was to guess the caramel wanderer would be gifted the tell-tale perfumes of family, a scent so recognisable and welcomed it would weave her nostrils and simultaneously squeeze her lungs. For a moment she would seem almost breathless in shock, vibrant eyes of blazing firestone glancing to and fro the winter landscape she so mindlessly ambled. How long her siblings had been here was hard to say, Eyfura had been slow to leave the grasps of their father?s pack after his death, but none-the-less she had finally pulled herself away from its monstrous structures. All for the better of course, if Hati hadn?t been the one to behead the foul lord then surely she or another would have.

Power emanated from every profound stride, the massive woman bound by the structures of her magnificent lineage; paws splayed against ice carpets, extensive legs carved with bands of sinew and rested by the broad stretches of her colossal ribcage. As strong in body as she was at mind, the Hr??vitnisd?ttir siren would soon find herself wound beneath the centre of her families bickering; as crazed and juvenile as ever. But a sense of fond adoration, or maternal sensation would heat within her chest, and as the magnificent blood would pause upon the brink of their presence, near-void expression would be cast to them all with a gaze indecision, ?I see not much has changed,? brittle but sincere, it was a greeting all the same.

A guttural growl worked itself up from the back of his throat and was spit from his mouth like a glob of phlegm; the sound packed with as much annoyance and disgust as he could cram into it. Gods below, how hard was it to shut up and listen...quietly? Baldur scrammed, his apology getting a slow nod from Thor and of course Akemi got all butthurt by the sudden, but quite frankly deserved, backlash and took off too. Maybe with less opinions floating around more would get done.

At Weth's suggestion, Thor snorted. "Yes, lets take him into a hole in the ground with no food, water or light." Brilliant idea, Weth. Brilliant. This, of course, he didn't say out loud. "The water is bad here and when was the last time any of you saw anything worth eating? We're better off getting as far from here as we can, probably back the way one of us came. At least that way we'd know what to expect." Pretty good idea, right?

At least Loki was somewhat helping, although Thor strongly doubted his sincerity and wondered at his motives. "Alright, I'll take this side." Giving Loki a dirty look for sticking him with the oozy side, Thor grudgingly took up position on Hati's left. What did a little pus in his piss patches matter anyway?

Yet more siblings arrived. At this point, Thor wasn't surprised. "But look, see, Eyfura? We're helping each other. That has to count for something." If any member of the remaining peanut gallery had anything to add to that they had better bite their tongue. Silent cohesion, that's all he wanted. Loki to man the right side, Weth to do whatever the hell she felt like doing and Hati to suffer along without biting anyone. Was that too much to ask?

The brute glared a warning at Loki over Hati's back. Not another word, smart-ass. His eyes then flicked to Freyja, slightly annoyed with her Loki-like entrance. "If at any time you feel like jumping in, feel free."

Her eldest brother snapped at them all, demanding they all shut up and behave. When he growled at her to leave the runt alone, she huffed and rolled her eyes. "You don't control me, cripple." She growled under her breath, directing a glare at the dark furred man. They might share a secret between the two of them, but that did not make him her master or anything. When he attempted to stand and all but passed out again, his admittance that he needed help brought a smug grin to curve up the dark lips of the ebony bitch. There's your karma, you dickhead. She thought to herself with dark mirth, enjoying the scene before her immensely. As Baldur fled in a huff of irritation, she grinned. She was causing all kinds of mischief lately, and it was wondrous. No sooner than the alabaster male had left, then Akemi got all crushed and fled the scene on the brink of tears. The obsidian temptress would laugh, her cruel grin widening a bit.

Loki attempted to aid the dark behemoth in standing, but being a vain as he was, he insisted on taking the side of him that wasn't oozing pus and infectious liquids. A yawn left the maw of the dame, stretching wide her dark jaws and allowing ash to fall into her mouth. Screwing up her face in disgust, she coughed and spat it out, shaking her ebony cranium. Then her least favourite sibling made their appearance, the ever so perfect Freyja stepping into the mines like she fucking owned everything. Why had mother loved her so much? It was ridiculous, she hadn't even been the woman's daughter, and she had still preferred her to Weth. She growled in disdain as the gold and ivory coated she wolf made an observation of their current situation. The slight sneer directed at her and Loki made a snarl of pure hatred creep onto her face. When the newcomer made the mistake of ordering them around like she was Queen of the fucking world the dark furred dame stood. "Don't fucking order them around, you just fucking got here." She spat, malicious rage and pure venom spewing from her regal jaws. Her sister had no fucking right to tell anyone what to do, she was no better than the rest of them.

The chocolate coated dame who made an appearance next forced a huff of aggravation to escape her jaws. All these sisters suddenly making an appearance and acting all haughty, like they were the shit. She stalked away from the entrance, sitting in a collection of shadows to watch what happened. Thor's sarcastic comment on her plan made her roll her eyes. "It's a hell of a lot smarter than dragging him out into the cloud of ash where his wounds will only get worse." She growled, voice oozing sarcasm and irritation. She was not happy being here, there was only so much of her family that she could handle at one time, and she was well past her limit. As Thor insisted on trying to prove himself to Eyfura, she rolled her eyes again, unimpressed with everyone here. When he directed his sarcasm at Freyja, a grin was seen from the dame, the faint light glinting off of her fangs in the dark. She chuckled, tail tip flicking in a bemused manner. Her moods could flash into and out of view faster than one could think, and this was a perfect example of it. She watched them with glowing evergreen and mauve optics, intrigued to see how volatile it could become now. Maybe I'll just stick to the back for now, let them sort it out themselves. She would muse internally, deciding that she was not helping very much with an attitude like this. So she sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed the show that would unfold.

will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns?
The bickering, squabbling, whining voices of his siblings washed over Hati like a cloud of stinging insects. His face twitched, a low growl building in his chest. Before he could explode in fury - and likely fall on his face in the process - Thor and Loki moved to either side, supporting him. Thor, yeah ok, the guy was a bleeding heart compared to most of them. But Loki? Actually helping him? Or helping anyone for that matter? Hati leveled a flat look at his younger littermate. He was up to something. Well, he was always up to something, but now he was definitely up to something.

Semi-delirious and distracted by Loki's sudden display of charity as he was, Hati nearly missed the arrival of two more siblings. Fucking hell, was it a family reunion or something? He glowered at Freya, resenting first of all the implication that he needed help - ignoring the fact that he really did need help - and at the same time being, as always, infuriated by the way she spoke to them all, with that superior smile and overconfident demeanor. She was as fucking bad as Loki and Weth were.
And then there was Eyfura. Holier-than-thou, bossy Eyfura. Or at least, that's what he'd always thought when they were young. She'd always pissed him off so bad with her condescending attitude, but no matter how much he'd raged at her it had never made anything any different, and eventually he'd learned just to ignore her. Hroovitnir would get pissed if he complained at all, saying that she was younger, female, and only Hati's half-sister so if he was so threatened by her maybe he wasn't man enough to be the heir. Maybe Hroovitnir would need to beat the man into him. Something like that. Well anyway, she didn't approve of their siblings' antics so he couldn't dislike her completely. Didn't mean he had to like her either.

Gritting his teeth - both against the pain and his annoyance with his siblings - Hati leaned against his littermates to make his way to his feet. "I'm not going to be tucked down in a hole like an inconvenient mess, Weth," he growled. "I'm getting as far away from this shithole of a land and all this fucking ash as I can get. I'm going that way," he told them all, gesturing with his nose in a random direction.

Hati isn't nice. He swears, he is violent, and is more than a little insane. If you can't handle what might come of that don't thread with him.

Hati wears a bear skull on his head unless otherwise stated in the post. He also has a ram's skull that might be switched in sometimes if he finds it again.
Help keep my thread list updated so your thread isn't forgotten!

Baldur's eyes drooped as he huddled in the mine shaft. He felt suddenly, exhausted and immediately regretted his conflict with Akemi. Such was the curse of a violent and short temper. He realized his mistake but now pride prevented him from going out to apologize. Ash-stained tail flicked in irritation. He was pissed at Hati, pissed at his family, and most of all he was pissed at himself. A sigh slipped from his maw as he got to his feet. It was then he heard the echoing chattering of something?

Ears flicked forward as Baldur crept back to the edge peering down. A yell erupted from his maw as dozens of bats flew into his face, some of them clinging to his fur. Ivory fangs snapped over one as his head and body shook to kill, to kill it! YUCK! He barreled for the opening, bursting out into light in a snarling furry, bats pouring out behind him. They spiraled up into the sky, disoriented from the ash and probably disturbed but the shaking of the ground as a minor earthquake rumbled through the earth.

Baldur shook himself out and stared at his family which seemed to have grown since his stint in the tunnels. Freya and Eyfura were there now and Baldur half wondered if something big had happened. Had the old back dissolved? Did Vili die? Or had they all, one by one decided to leave. He half-smirked at the thought. Vili could be a control freak in his own right, it probably pissed him off to know end that his charges were abandoning his idiotic rule. Good! Baldur regretted not being able to kill his uncle upon leaving.

The bat suddenly squeaked violently a wing smacking him repeatedly in the face. With a growl he violently shook the creature. Jaws crushing it until it died. Tail flicked as he set it down. "Ok? so the mines are a bad idea?. there are some nice plains south of here how about we go there?" Without waiting he picked up his bat and headed in that direction. Pausing to turn and look back at the others. He was ready to get out of this living hell.

Did you expect any differently?
At some point in a large group of people, all arguing, you just start to tune things out. Too much going on, too much noise, and entirely too much ego. Loki, however, thrived on chaos. It was his element, like a porpoise in the ocean. So when Freyja showed up, with her usual sultry walk and her condescendingly confident demeanor, to annoy all the siblings who remained there, Loki's grin just widened. Sure, she could be annoying sometimes, but seeing how much she annoyed everyone else just endeared her to Loki. "Oh, isn't it just?" he replied with relish to her comment about the family being together again.

Granted, he'd left the pack in part to get away from that self-same family, but he did so enjoy watching the way they allowed themselves to be manipulated and stressed by each other.

He returned her sneer at him with a little wave of his paw, wiggling his toes at her in a sarcastic greeting. "It's just so lovely to see you again, Freyja," he gushed mockingly. "I just couldn't possibly make any of my own decisions without you here to tell me to do exactly what I'm already doing."

Then Eyfura, his younger half-sister appeared and added a comment of her own. You know, just to add even more chaos to the mix. "Oh, you know how it goes, darling Eyfura. The more things change, the more they stay the same," he answered her airily.

Of course he would have completely ignored Thor's warning look. How could anyone have thought differently? He was Loki, after all. But he didn't do any more than sigh and roll his eyes when Hati jostled against him as he struggled to his feet before claiming that he was heading off in some random direction to gods knew where.

Any sarcastic comment he could have made to his elder brother - at risk of the brute tearing off one of his ears to match his own scruffy ones - was interrupted by the squeaking, squealing exodus of bats from one of the mines, a white-coated figure flailing his way out in the midst of them. Loki gave a barking laugh and just shook his head, a grin plastered on his face. That didn't even need a sarcastic commentary, it was one all on it's own. Baldur then proceeded to make, around another bat held in his mouth, a surprisingly sensible suggestion as far as direction. But the flapping wing smacking him in the face set Loki off again, and he couldn't even answer let alone make a snarky comment for the uncontrollable laughter that bubbled out of his chest at the pure, unadulterated ridiculousness of it.
