Archaic stretched atop the hollow log, back curling and tail lifting. Sunlight filtered through the trees at his back, and glittered on the surface of the water before him. It seemed to play across the liquid surface, chasing and jumping from here to there. The male had half a mind to wade through the shallows, but he doubted cold, sopping fur would be worth his trouble. He had snapped up a few fish earlier, and their bones lay discarded at his feet, their taste still lingering in his mouth. Happily, he licked his lips and settled back down. His stomach was full, the evening air was pleasantly cool, and he had not a care in the world. He had half a mind to remain in this area for a good long while. It seemed verdant, and was more than easy on the eyes. The large, lithe man felt at ease there, peaceful and content. It was certainly a far cry from the accommodations he was used to, though it struck him that he would not take a bit of company amiss. Good conversation always made a pleasant evening better. Soon the sun would kiss the horizon and set the sky ablaze. The singing of wind in the trees and buzzing of insects was, for now, his only company as he watched the clouds drift lazily across the sky.

I DON'T DRINK COFFEE I TAKE TEA MY DEAR

I LIKE MY TOAST DONE ON ONE SIDE

A creamy form wandered about, splashing through streams and watching the water splatter upon the sand as she walked on. It was a warm eve, the lady's summer thinned coat rippling in the breezes that passed by. Eyes the colour of the rapidly darkening sky wandered over the landscape with mild interest as she walked. As the beach came closer, the scent of a stranger met her nose. Curiosity twinkled in her blue-purple optics as she padded onward, seeing an interestingly marked figure sprawled upon a hollow log in the sand. Gold dipped plume would sweep across tapering heels jovially as she approached, a soft grin playing at her doll like features. "Good evening, sir." Thickly accented lyrics would murmur politely as she padded closer, her distinctly British vocals soft and sweet. She would regard him curiously, large eyes absorbing his unique pelt and lanky build.

The fae's arrival seemed to be timed perfectly. Arc's brows rose as he contemplated the chance of this, but decided to brush it off. Was it really worth that much thought anyways? Besides, as soon as he laid his eyes upon the fae below him a smile crept onto his lips. Her voice floated through his ears with an easy, foreign grace and it struck him that he wanted to hear her speak again. When he was younger no fae would look twice at him, but he had since grown out of that stage, and was still growing used to being noteworthy to any degree. His sea foam eyes were bright with surprised mirth as he spoke. "Gods strike me down, if it isn't my lucky day! Good evening to you too, miss." He bobbed his head, never one to set his manners aside. Courtesy was something he'd had to teach himself, and in the presence of a pretty girl it was always put to good use. "My name is Archaic. Who might I have the pleasure of addressing?" Her form was much smaller than his, but her fur looked and smooth, bright and well ordered. He wondered if it was as soft to touch as it appeared. It's accents and hues seemed as unique as his own, if a bit less ostentatious. He let his mind wander as he waited to hear the fae's voice grace him once more.

The male spoke quite surprisingly, mentioning luck and gods all in one sentence. It brought a quiet chuckle bubbling up from the dark lips of the creamy femme, her smile becoming wider as she did so. She returned a dip of her tiara, smiling sweetly. He introduced himself as Archaic, which seemed to be an interesting title, something to rival his coat in itself. When he inquired about her own title, the lady chuckled. "I am Alice Buxton, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Archaic." She replied, her distinct accent wrapped around sweet soprano lyrics as they tumbled from her lips. Golden dipped banner would sweep across her heels as she stood before the stranger, twilight optics sparkling with mirth.
A collection of colourful birds took flight in the distance, careening through the air over their heads with raucous cries and disappearing again. The attention of the lady was diverted by this, and she lifted her pale gold striped muzzle to watch them with mild fascination and a soft smile. When they were gone, she would return her violet and navy gaze to the sea foam optics of her companion. "I assume you're curious of where I am from, as most are?" She would inquire with a soft giggle, knowing the question would no doubt be soon forthcoming to meet her golden audits.

Arc listened to her introduction, smiling all the while. His ear flicked in amusement, responding to her mirth in kind. It seemed infectious. "The pleasure is mine, Miss Alice. Trust me, I'm just a pretty face," he said kindly, nose crinkling in amusement as his joke, never mind that it was at his expense. He had never minded a jab at his honor, especially if it made another smile. The flock of birds drew his gaze upwards, just as hers was. He watched them skitter through the air, vibrant even in the saturated sky. Their song was sweet and added to the marvelous atmosphere of the night. It seemed nigh on perfect, or at least as fine as he could remember. His wish for good company had certainly been fulfilled. "I'd hate to pry," he replied as she questioned him further. "But neither can I lie; curiosity is a good way to phrase it. I'm assuming it's quite a ways from the bay here?" He chuckled again, enthralled by the beauty before him. The sun sank lower yet, kissing the horizon and setting the clouds above them alight, splashing cloud and water and wolf alike in a gold and ruby hue.

He seemed to be quite a kind man, and the cream furred lady enjoyed it very much. His joke, even at his own expense, seemed light and cheerful, which brought a soft smile to her features despite herself. When a reply was received to her question, she chuckled, lifting a paw to make a nonchalant gesture that told the male that she did not mind it at all. She chuckled, nodding in response to his comment afterwards, looking to the northeast and pointing with a tea cupped paw of a creamy ivory in the general direction. "I come from a land once called England, as does my entire lineage." She told him, returning her twilight gaze to his sea foam optics. She tilted her cranium to the side quizzically, taking in his features curiously. "You don't seem to fit in to this place yourself, where are you from?" She would inquire, her thick accent ringing out wrapped beautifully into her soprano lyrics. Golden audits would give an absent flicker as she waited for a response from him, altogether curious to see what kind of place could create such an interesting man.

OOC: Sorry for shortness!
