She had grown bored. The earth around her had grown silent. Boredom had brought her here. Russet bodice rolled, limbs stretching to carry her across the blood stained field. The stench of death filled her nostrils, causing her lips to wrinkle in disgust. She was here to seek out a spar, to perfect her battle skills. Tail swayed idly at her hocks as she came to a stop. Verdant gaze swept around her, surveying the area.

Wasting no time, her crown would tip back, lips forming an O, releasing a call for anyone to come and spar with her. Bringing her chin down, it would tuck carefully against her throat, protecting the vitals that lay beneath her flesh. Shoulders would roll forward to further protect her neck, her crown would align with her spine, tail acting a rudder. She adjusted her limbs so that they squared beneath her, bending them slightly at the knee. Toes spread, claws digging into the earth for traction. Audits twitched, listening for the sounds of an opponent. Eyes remained alert, searching the field that brought nothing but blood and death

She would wait patiently for an opponent to answer her call, to step forward and practice with her. Her thoughts quiets, focusing on the impending fight. She stilled her body, breathing slowly. Peace settled over her.

ooc: still looking for a sparring partner? Let me know if you'd like me to go first. And I like the idea of leaving it open so there aren't any defaults so let me know what works for you I'm flexible. :3

So, he couldn't get enough of this place and he had a hard time telling if that was good or bad. It reminded him of home but at the same time the air tasted like freedom and risk in a way no other terra of Alacritis had. The battlefield also reeked of vulnerability. The packs around him seemed to grow more and more unstable and after befriend the Valhallan, Odette, Baldur found himself wondering how long he and his family could stay as loners. More and more it was difficult not to become entangled with wolves and philosophies from the packs.

Baldur strolled through the terra in his confident, head-on walk when the call of a femme caught his attention. It had been a while since he'd sparred a fae. Curious he headed in the direction of her call, wondering if she would accept him as an opponent or not. "Evening, would you find me a suitable opponent, miss?"

The femme that called was cloaked in a lush coat of earthen tones, punctuated by white. Brilliant green eyes stared right back at him. She was a large fae and would make for a fairly even match in size and build. Snow white hackles laced together as the brute's fur stood on end. Muscular shoulders rippled beneath his fur as they rolled forward, his neck scrunching back. His stance widened slightly as his knees bent and his legs coiled, toes splayed as his claws gripped dirt. Baldur's head tipped slightly forward as his ears pinned to head. Silken muzzle parted slightly in preparation for attack or defense. His tail aligned with his spine as his neck lowered slighting. Baldur's brow furrowed and he nodded, signaling that he was ready and would wait for a signal from her to either attack or respond to hers.

OOC: Sorry, totally forgot about this thread haha, that works for me too, we won't worry about timing for defaults since its just a friendly spar.

A pallid brute would make his way towards her, a question rolling off his tongue. A small smile played on her face as she sized him up. They would be fairly matched in weight and size, though his coat sharply contrasted her own. "Certainly. We'll keep this friendly, no serious injuries." She would state her simple terms for allowing her focus to slip solely onto the fight.

Defenses took a tighter hold. Her eyes narrowed, audits fell flat against her russet crown, hackles lifted, shoulders rolled forward to add an extra layer of fat around her vitals. Her crown lowered to fall level with her spine, chin tucked against her throat, her tail unraveled to straighten with her spine, acting as a reddening. Her limbs spread, bending for better balance and a lower center of gravity. "You may have the first move."

Abdominal muscles tightened, preparing for the collision of his first attack. Verdant gaze watched him carefully, looking the slightest twitch of his muscles to clue her in on his movement. All her worries slipped away, her attention settled on the pale brute, she allowed herself to get lost, to become absorbed by the thrill of the fight. Senses heightened, her blood thundered in her ears, adrenaline spiked through her system, any breeze with as light as a lovers caress. Her breathing slowed, collecting itself. Her toes would spread, claws digging into the ground for traction, she was now prepared entirely.

Oh how he would memorize her scent; a sickening odour once cast to the darkest remains of his bustling thoughts, forgotten and lost amidst a pain that would forever sear at his heart. When the tickling sensation of her presence had screamed at his rattled pores he had tried so wholly to pretend it was not her, to continue on his way as though she had never truly existed. And yet what the writhing ghoul believed would be a straight forward task would never truly be so; his muscles beginning to itch and tremor until coral stilts would guide him athwart his comfort zone. It had been overcast that late morning, and the pallid albino had taken the sunless opportunity to weave his hungry curiosity amidst the thrashing form of what should have been his daughter. Swaying with eerie silence towards her spar with another man, a brittle smirk plastered atop cherry lips as he would meander jus athwart their action- waiting.

Baldur nodded that it was to be a friendly match and he repeated that in his head like a mantra. Raised in a militant pack he and his brothers were often punished for attacks that were anything less than brutal though of all his brother's Baldur was most capable of casting his training aside, well in his opinion anyway.

The first move was to be his and a flutter of nervous excitement ran down his spine. It had been awhile. Usually he was the one responding to attacks his joking and impulsive attitude certainly didn't help that though he'd grown quite a bit from his time in Alacritia. Baldur's ice-blue eyes slid a sidelong glance at a large albino brute that would stand eye to eye with him. The stranger didn't seem intent on intervening and Baldur assumed he was probably waiting to see if he wanted to duel the winner.

Setting aside his musing Baldur set his mind to focus on his first attack, gaze shifting back to Sibelle as he nodded once again. He would make the first attack per her request. Baldur re-checked his defenses. Fur raised, hackles lacing down his back. His shoulders were rolled forward, neck scrunched back as his chin dipped down over his chest. Baldur's stance was widened slightly, his legs bent and coiled to lower his center of gravity. Ebony toes splayed as claws gripped rock for the traction he'd need to launch his attack. Snowy ears were pinned to his head, jaws slightly parted as his tail strayed directly behind him even with his spine. Brows furrowed, Baldur launched his attack.

The muscles in his his powerful thighs rippled as he pushed off in a bid to close the distance between the pair. He approached Sibelle nearly head-on, slipping only slightly to his right. His neck twisted to his left in an attempt to bite onto the left side of Sibelle's neck, higher up and right in front of her left shoulder blade so he could get a grip on his opponent. As he'd move to meet this target his weight would shift to his hind legs so that is right front limb could seek to fall across Sibelle's back, an inch or two behind that left shoulder blade. His left front limb sought to wrap around her left front leg midway between her ankle and elbow to pull the limb towards him as his back legs would uncoil pushing him forward. He hoped his weight and larger frame would throw her off balance and maybe even bring her to the ground.

Baldur vs Sibelle

SPAR

Round: 1 of 3

Attack: Approaching Sibelle head on and slightly to the his right. Neck curving to the left to seize the left side of Sibelle's neck, higher up right in front of her left shoulder blade. His right foreleg is raising to wrap around Sibelle's back right behind that left shoulder blade as his left foreleg reaches to wrap around her left foreleg midway between ankle and elbow. Back legs kick off to try and push her down.

Defenses: Fur and Hackles Raised | Shoulders Rolled Forward | Neck Scrunched | Stance Widened | Knees Bent and Legs Coiled | Toes Splayed | Head Titled Slightly Forward | Ears Pinned | Jaws Slightly Parted | Tail held Parallel to Spine | Brows Furrowed

Just as the pale man would agree to the terms, a sickening familiar scent would invade her nostrils. She did not have to look to see who it was. She had no idea what he was doing here or what he wanted. There was no time to dwell on her fathers intentions for the pale man was rushing towards her, closing the gap. All her defenses remained intact, her eyes narrowed, ears pinned against her russet crown, her hackles lifted higher by the mere presence of the albino King, her shoulders remained scrunched, adding additional fat and protection to her throat. Her legs remained spread and bent at the knee for balance, her abdomen tightened, preparing for his impact. Toes remained spread, claws digging into the earth. And most importantly, her chin remain tucked against her throat.

She would watch as he approached, his strides quickly closing the distance. At the last moment he would veer to her left (his right), his body curving, jaws parting to aim at the side of her neck. A low growl vibrated in her chest, spilling from her jaws. Lips curled back in a snarl, her own jaws unhinging. Hind legs would uncoil, propelling her forward to meet the pale brute head on. She would allow herself to mimic his movement, curving her own neck in an attempt to grab a hold of the left side (front her POV) of his neck. His right limb would miss its target of landing across her back, and because of her charge to meet him, his left limb would land between her front legs, causing their shoulder blades to possibly collide with each others chests. Her shoulder would burn with pain as his jaws hit just below their intended target.

If her jaws successfully land on his neck, then her right paw will rise, her weight shifting mostly to her back legs, which will spread to keep her stable, and she will attempt for her leg to fall just behind his shoulder blades, her intentions to keep him close. She could only hope that her attacks will land successfully, and that her mimicking behavior would confuse him, even if just for a moment. It was a tactic she never tried before, but what better time than now? Gone from her mind was her fathers looming presence, her focus solely on the pale brute before her.

SIBELLE vs BALDUR for PRACTICE: Round 2/3

ATTACKS: She is aiming to mimic his movements in an attempt to confuse him, grab a hold of his neck in a similar position, and lift her own right paw to bring it down across just behind his shoulders

DEFENSES: eyes narrowed, ears pinned, hackles lifted, shoulders scrunched, tail flagged to act as a rudder and additional balance, limbs spread and bent for better balance and lower center of gravity, chin tucked against her throat, toes spread, claws digging into the ground for traction, abdominal muscles tight. During Attack: all the above defenses still in place, but if her bite lands, then her hind legs will spread an inch or so wider to better stabilize herself on three legs.

INJURIES: bruised chest (if her attack is successful), bite wound to the left side of her neck slightly lower than where he intended

ooc: super good first move o.O I was at a loss for this one XD

ooc: thank you for waiting! <3

She charged head on to meet him, his right front limb just missed draping over her back and Baldur dragged it rapidly back under him to try and steady himself. His left quickly hit dirt as well when he felt nothing but air. There was barely any time to move and Baldur knew he couldn't dodge her at this point, instead he used his precious seconds to redistribute his weight as best he could, muscles tense as he braced for impact letting the air spill out of his lungs so that he would not have to struggle to catch his breath as it was knocked from him.

Impact. Her right shoulder collided with the upper left portion of his chest. No noise emitted from the male's previously emptied lungs. Nostrils flared to suck in air. His maw was still parted as his jaws landed across the middle portion of her shoulder, midway between deltoid muscles and the top tip of her scapula, rather than the neck he was aiming for. At the same time he felt jaws sink into the upper left side of his neck. Fangs dug into his thick coat, breaking flesh about a quarter inch deep as she took hold. Air hissed between his teeth at the stinging pain. He felt a hint of her warmth across his shoulders and knew there was a limb there. Baldur could also sense it as Sibelle's weight shifting back.

Baldur's body tensed. Fur and hackles were raised, ears pinned back as his muscles coiled under his frame, weight resting evenly across his legs as his tail was still held in line with his spine. His knees bent, toes splayed as his brow furrowed. Baldur's shoulders rolled forward, neck scrunching painfully back as fur and flesh rumpled further together around Sibelle's jaws. His body was oriented slightly to the right of hers, her left front limb aligned with the left portion of his chest.

Rapidly, he released his hold keeping his jaws as close to her shoulder as he dared, helped by her right front leg that sought to keep him close. His head realigned with his spine and tilted to the right so his lower jaw was facing toward her. At the same time he let go, Baldur's weight shifted slightly back on his haunches as his front legs lifted off the ground.

Then muscular back legs uncoiled and he sprang forward like a striking serpent. Baldur's parted jaws sought her shoulder again, in the same location, this time to get a better grip as his head would be in line with his body rather than twisted to the side and he could put more power behind the attack. His left front limb reached out as his weight shifted to the right, tail twisted to the left to compensate. He sought to wrap his left wrist behind her left foreleg (mid-distance between elbow and wrist) to pull it back toward himself to unbalance her. He hoped that with her weight shifted back, and his pushing forward he could perhaps knock her over.

Baldur vs Sibelle

SPAR

Round: 2 of 3

Attack:Realigned his head with his spine to give more power to a frontal assault. Jaws seeking to attack the same area of her shoulder his fangs had landed on previously. Back legs pushing him forward while his left wrist seeks to drae behind her left forelimb in the exact middle between her wrist and elbow and pull it forward to unbalance her.

Defenses: Fur and Hackles Raised | Shoulders Rolled Forward | Neck Scrunched | Stance Widened | Knees Bent and Legs Coiled | Toes Splayed | Ears Pinned | Jaws Parted | Tail held Parallel to Spine | Brows Furrowed

Injuries:Moderate bruising to upper left portion of chest. Four puncture wounds on upper portion of the left side of his neck, each about a quarter inch deep.

Baldur v Sibelle for Spar

Round 1
Baldur:

5 for clarity- -2 'He approached Sibelle nearly head-on,' what do you mean by nearly? how slightly to the right? enough to go shoulder to shoulder or shoulder to chest? -3 'bite onto the left side of Sibelle's neck, higher up and right in front of her left shoulder' this doesnt really make sense, you say higher up on her neck but then near her shoulder? The shoulder is nearer the lower part to the neck

8 for powerplaying. -2 'a bid to close the distance between the pair.' put in an attempt to be clear that he's trying and not assuming it's successful. -2 'He approached Sibelle nearly head-on, ' you cant assume where he is positioned against the opponent, its for them to decide.

10 for defenses. +1 for each seen

7 for attack. +2 for shove +3 for attempted grip to neck +2 for trying to unbalance sibelle with foreleg.

Sibelle:

1 for clarity- -2 'aim at the side of her neck. ' where abouts? Bottom or top etc. -3 'left side (front her POV) of his neck.' POV? You need to be clear so the judge can understand. Also which part of the left side of the neck, nearer the bottom? near the center? -2 it didnt really make sense how Baldurs leg got in front of her own when aiming for the back. -2 'just behind his shoulder blades, ' which shoulder blade?

8 for powerplaying. -2 'propelling her forward to meet the pale brute head on' you need an ' propels forward attempting to meet the pale brute head on'
