make me feel wanted [birthing thread]
Ooc;; so, since lust is not longer gonna be born and Vi is still prone to favouritism we're gonna make this a game. First pup to post basically gets the most attention :P pups may post after a healer and whoever responds and I post one more time plz!
Pain, it washed over the woman in waves even as she walked back from the hot springs in an attempt to get further within Ludicael boarders. Every couple of strides it seemed there was a fresh wave, her stomach contracting and convulsing. She had already found some vervain and was chewing it now even as she walked. A coolness was washing over her, fighting back the waves of pain so she simply felt the tightening and releasing of her muscles rather then the pain that would normally join them. It was easy for now, her contractions still far enough apart that it wasn't super painful and the vervain could numb her senses enough. It was also beginning to cloud her mind though so as she drew closer to a patch of warm sunshine she spat the plant out and staggered to the warmth. She hated to admit it but she hadn't really planned much ahead, having not chosen a den since she had wanted to only stay for a short while and have her pups on the island with Taurig and his family. But it seemed the little beasts had made other plans. Or maybe it was the stress of yesterday's sparring that she had so insisted on participating in. Her own damn fault.
Legs folded beneath her as she practically collapsed to the ground, head falling heading against the ground as her world began to spin. Funny, for an assassin her pain tolerance wasn't very high. But then again she had never been much for fighting or sparring or inflicting herself with pain. She needed help. So with that skull would tip back, warbling hole circling up to that sky in a call for help. She didn't want to do this alone.
Speech!
She had heard the call not far from her own den, and she realized quite quickly what it meant. She would look to her companion, an Elohim would do as silently asked. The girl would run to the she Wolf's aid while the golden lion tamarin gathered the herbs from her den. She would half expect to see her within a den, but found Viridiana sprawled within the dried grasses of the mangroves. "shall I help get you into the shade? I think the closest den is mine and it's much to small to birth in." she would shake herself slightly, "Sorry Im Novel, Song's daughter. I'm a healer, and even though I'm young don't worry, I've been through a few births already." she would smile as she introduces herself to the pregnant woman. She would hope Elohim would find his way quickly.?
Massive beast had made his way back to the mangroves almost without thinking about it, paws carrying him silently through the dried grasses. This had once been his home, his pack and he its healer but with the absence of Jupiter he had felt an immediate disconnect to the others. His disappearance had been sudden and without word just as Jupiter's had been once his only reason for being there left. He had known only a few of the pack members here, mostly from pack meetings as he had stayed secluded when he could. Did he want to return? Was he ready for pack life again? Chest expanded and contracted heavily as he let out a breath and prepared himself to howl, wanting to at least speak to Jupiter's replacement and see who it was and if they had heard from their old queen. But it was then that another howl arched through the skies, warbling and pain filled but still all too familiar. Vi? Why was she here? Why was she calling for help? He let out a loud bark, more as a notice to whoever was near that he was entering rather then asking permission. He could deal with the repercussions later. Long legs started him out at a rolling lope and then soon he was full out sprinting. Muscle still packed his lean frame but he had done little to keep himself in shape so soon breath was coming heavily.
The monster broke crashed through the leaves, paws turning dried grass into dust as he burst into the scene. Immediately he looked for an attacker but all there was was a young female and Vi laying on the ground, stomach swollen. Eyes widened and ears pinned to his skull as his jaw unhinged and worked to form words. Immediately nose hit the floor in a bow to the young female who smelt of the pack, though as his sense of smell continued to explore he realized that so did Vi. "Sorry for the intrusion, I heard the howl and kind of panicked. I'm her brother and I'd like to help if you'd allow it." He said, words coming out in a rush that almost sounded like a growl with his raspy words.
Speech!
The contractions were coming more regularly and were stronger now, pushing through the vervain haze to the point were teeth began to grind together uncomfortably. And then like an angel she would appear, young and delicate with soothing words and the smell of herbs following her. Words broke through the haze in her mind and slowly eyes would drift around to take note that she was in fact laying in a pool of sunlight. Though she had grown up in the cold pass behind horizon mountain she had always loved the heat but she felt hot, her paws were beginning to sweat and her tongue was lolling over her jaws. A den sounded nice. "Sure, that sounds wonderful?" She would gasp after an especially hard contraction. God she just wanted this girl to rip the pups out of her body, do whatever she had to to just get them out. But slowly she would begin to prop herself up, pushing forepaws up slowly as she tried to work around her swollen stomach. God if these beasts had forever ruined her figure she would be pissed.
Then there was a crash and for a moment she was alert, ears snapping up and instincts kicking in as lips curled and maw wrinkled into a snarl. She was ready to kill whoever dared invade her space and yet who appeared was not who she expected. He was matted, smelly, brown rather then his usual sleek black and seemed leaner then he had been before. "Shut up and do what Novel tells you. She's the only one that knows whats going on here!" She half snapped though there was a small smile on her face as hind legs hopped and struggled to get beneath her. She was starting to get a bit worried. Was this all going right? She cast a look at Novel, looking for some reassurance in the matter even though Vi was her elder by a few years.
She didn't say anything more, instead followed Novel to her den, every so often stopping as a contraction wracked through her body and leaning on Novel or Kylar or whoever was close enough to throw her weight on. God she was useless. She slipped into the den and immediately dropped like a sac of stones. The pain was beginning to cloud her mind more then the pain killers had and for a moment she let her head fall, staring up at Novel as if silently asking for her to make this end. She had never wanted this...
Speech!
It didn't take too long to reach the old tree, as soon as it was in view Viridiana would slip into its depths. Elohim would appear, offering the woman herbs to help with the contractions and more to help the pain. It would not take long after for the first pup to arrive. Novel would hope the new Mother was able to clean the pup, but if she was not able she was quite ready to help. They were close to the water, Novel's companion would take a water filled sponge and offer it to the laboring she wolf. "You're almost there Viridiana, just keep pushing." Novel's gentle words would hopefully encourage the woman to keep going and finish the birth.?
Say hello to the babies... Words echoed in her mind as an especially strong contraction racked her body and hind leg lifted and curled to her stomach in a scratching motion as if she might be able to claw her stomach open and take the beasts out herself. And then it seemed like all at once it was over, tiny body lay behind her and for a moment the contractions stilled lulling Vi into a false sense of it being over. Her first thought being that the little beast had in fact wrecked her body and she was still fat. But soon lantern eyes would turn to the little beast that made its way towards her, wobbling and testing it's vocals and tiny paws scrabbled at the ground as it dragged its way towards her. Features would soften and a smile dared to cross her features. "Awww it's cute. I'll name it Fiamette." Words came out easily but her motherly instincts did not and slowly she would turn her skull to Novel. "Pssst. Hey... What am I supposed to do with it?" she asked, whispering because she honestly did not know that the tiny pup couldn't yet hear her.
It was only another couple of seconds before the contractions began again with a new determination, hitting her like a kick to the gut. Head slammed down as if trying to know I herself unconscious for this before she curled her legs up with no notice given really to the tiny pup nursing and sleeping at her stomach. Luckily the tiny girl was not harmed in the birthing of her siblings. "Holy mother of god get these fuckers out!" She practically wailed, now very much ready to be done with it all and not knowing that there were four more to go. She hadn't wanted to take the herbs that Novel's little friend had handed her at first but now she gobbled them up with no reguard to the safety of his hand. She would apologize later. Maybe. It wasn't really her style but drama was.
Speech!
Suddenly, a creature moved beside her, and the pup moved forwards silently. The sweet smell of her mother made her move even closer, until her small nose nudged her mother's stomach. Letting out a surprised squeak and flinching away, it took a few seconds before the pup realized that the smell was coming from her mother's stomach. This was just after her mother wailed, and the pup did not hear the soft whimpering and snorts of her sister. Latching on to her mother, the pup began to get her first meal.
Letting out a pleased squeak, the pup moved to her sister, assuming that it was her mother. Either way, the warmth was pleasant. Finally, the pup fell asleep, dreaming of nothing.
OOC: I really couldnt miss this birth!
Desire? did not expect the birth to happen so soon, and so far away. And to make it worse, this wasnt her pack grounds. Her slender legs would forcefully push against the soil, her pace quickening at the sight of the ruby woman. There was nothing worse then feeling useless, and the Purple Nymph had no intentions of becoming just that. A placid youth would come onto the scene, helping Vi out in her labor, and just as De thought it was going to be a quiet and small Gathering another would pass by, a rouge swooning upon the lands, claiming to be family. Her mismatched gaze would look over greedily, half tempted to just do the exact same.
With a sigh her fore paws would stand straight upon the invisible border line attempting to howl but instead sounding more like a stern ' woof' noise, wanting to make her presence known. She'd call for entrance, meaning no harm and just wanting to be by the side of the new mother, the thought of seeing new whelps making her stomach turn in complete awe. She would often wonder if it where true that a mother falls in love with her children at first sight, and just why that happens. But right now, Desire?'s only concern was making Viridiana know that she was there, and she would never miss it for the world.

First one of the forms beside her was gone. Then two. The world was shifting more... it wasn't over. The pup would submit to fate, soon feeling her own little form move, expelled out of the warmth and safety of her mother's womb onto something much harder... colder.
She would lay there, almost seeming dead as a warm tongue rasped over her body. She would take her first breath, moving her head, however she didn't make a single sound. A warm, welcoming scent drew her on, and finally the pale russet whelp started to wiggle towards her mother's belly. There was this strange need... to get to that sense. Once she did she would find herself a teat and latch on, greedily suckling down milk, pressing against her siblings as she ensured she wouldn't lose her source of food.
