Alone...that's what he was. He had not a companion, no friend, no family nearby. He had wandered in search of his missing father, for his mother had died during the fight against his crazed brother. The sands shifted beneath his feet, blue eyes scanning the landscape as he wondered where he had wandered to. The ocean lied before him, which direction had he gone? It was somewhat cooler here, yet the sun still poured its rays upon the land and heating all that it touched. The breeze was warm here, the sands somewhat hotter underfoot, and yet it did not bother him. He rather enjoyed the heat, he often hoped and dreamed that it would melt away the insecurities he held about himself as well as the worries that constantly plagued his mind. He moved forward, closer to the water until he sat down just at the very edge where the tide flowed in and away. The tips of his claws barely touching the water when it came towards him, only to watch it recede back into the vast ocean that lied before him. What was it like on the other side? Were there others like him out there? Places of safety where he could take his family? He could only dream...

...The grass was damp beneath his paws, cooling them and clinging to his coat with every step. He had caught her scent already. Breathing in as it swirled about his mussel with its brilliant, soothing fragrance?

The sleeping wolf shifted in his dream, the moon that marked the night hung suspended and unseen upon the blanket of blackness, covered by misty and dark clouds. The full moon seemed to catch him in his dream, bringing out the colours and textures, even the feelings. Making it seem all the more real and possibly fighting. This dream, however, caused him no fear. No, it was a memory... it was a piece of the past that his heart longed to remember. He did not care to be awake now... not when he was so tired, not when there was a memory worth remembering...

... He followed that scent; He felt no surprise at his longing to find its owner, there was nothing he wanted more then to follow it, moving freely across the land, as smooth and silent as the gentle wind that guided him. He could hear the whisper of nature, feel it in the gentle waves that brushed against his coat in both memory and reality. Here was where he belonged, and the end of this path was something worthy to call home. It didn't have to be a piece of land to this wonderer; it just had to be this song. The one wolf who called to his heart this way, so different to the feel of friendship or the guiding hand of Mother Nature. He felt it immeasurable and thus without need to question, this feeling that brought forth his love and kindness and reason for being...

The brilliance of the sky awakening to the roaming sun split in colours aligning to the shades it had shown the first time... the real time, not the dream. It was a pang in his heart to remember this, but he could not stop the tide of memories that flowed freely through him. Who was he to deny its path?

This stretch of journey ended, and there she was, her beauty unmatched by the earth, the sky, the wind and the water. Of course it was! For she held far more beauty then the plain old eye could see. Everything about her, right down to that song that hummed through her being and lifted his very heart.
?Illaria?
He murmured gently, announcing his presence to her as he stepped from the shadows of which he walked.
?It?s been to long?
He murmured gently, wondering if she had meet with the leader of Rukai... wondered what fate had been decided for her. He knew she had done well... how could she not? She was Illaria, after all. And it had been too long, since his heart had last sung with hers. It had been weeks... since that day on the mountains that they both had wanted to last for all eternity. Simply sitting upon a cliff that looked across the world and feeling the wind through their coats and hearing the calls of eagles as they soared, soared as the two wolves hearts had.
?My beloved?
He whispered, moving gently forward now, his open face alight with friendship and love, singing with freedom and the knowledge of how much he loved her?

He turned again in his sleep, twitching and letting out a soft moan ? not that he was aware of this. How he longed to truly see her again, for it to be real, for his paws to touch the earth, and the wind to guide him to her. Curse this distance between them now. Not just in body, in wide stretching spaces, but in mind. She had changed, and slipped from him. He had not seen it coming, to ensnared by his emotions and living a life in contentment simply to know this angel loved him. She had slipped from him, lost the feeling of love and companionship they had once shared and now all he had to content himself with was memories.

The night slipped past and eventually the wolf was freed from the grip the dream had held upon him. He sighed as he stretched and rose. He had travelled long and hard the last few days but he could feel in the softness of the wind that he did not need to keep the demanding pace going today, he arrived at whatever lands it was that had compelled him here. He was humbled by the clarity of his dream, a touch of sadness in his features by its lingering emotions. He followed the tug of the wind until his paws no longer touched the softness of grass and gripped instead in the untameable immensity of sand, and within the tang of salt that hung upon the air he could catch the trace of another wolf. He followed the line of sand the stretched out before him and in the distance he could see the form of a creature sitting by the waters edge. He seemed not to mind the flowing of the water that rose to almost right before him before slinking back out into the depths of sea. It had been a long while now since Kastiel had seen another wolf. His wild passage here and led little room for straying off his path, but there was something about the lands he tread on now that told him he would stay.

He began to make his way over to the other wolf, waiting till he was a few paces away before seating himself also on the softness of the sun-warmed sand and sat for a moment, unwilling to break the gentle silence the other had created.

Isabella

Heat and cold, cold and heat, the two seemed to be locked in battle this time of year. Not that cold had much presence anywhere but in water, in the Ocean while the land next to it, the sands held warmth. The fox colored wolf was fine with either heat or cold but she much preferred it when there was water about and the Spirit of the Ocean could give water wherever she saw fit. When the Ocean could not reach out to the lands, Isabella saw it fit to visit the thing she loved more than anything in the land. Sometimes in her travels the calculative she-wolf wanted to go alone and leave her odd gecko companion some place better for him but since she was going to warm sand she wanted him to come along.

For the moment Isabella sat before the sea, looking out to the endless blues with her icy blue eyes as the waves occasionally graced her paws. Behind her sand flew as Alphonso the gecko dug at the dry sand making himself a den. He laughed now and then as he dug enjoying the task. Thinking herself alone Isabella allowed herself to smile just a moment before it faded and she spoke. "Funny how you prefer the endless sands to the beauty of what is before us." Her empty words hung in the air between them only broken by the waves before the gecko replied. "Water is all and good, and the sea is interesting and all but I prefer an ocean of sand Madam Izzy, it's my home after all." The gecko turned in his den to poke his head out as he spoke. Isabella looked back at him and nodded, it was true the sands were his home as much as the Ocean, or land by it was once her home.

Looking forward she left him to his digging. The sound of the waves, the smell of the salt, the soft wind, it was all rather calming but she did not let herself be calm. Calm was not her, emotionless was and there was a vast difference. Sitting motionless she had her ears up, that was until she caught sound of something that broke the pattern and as well as a scent on the wind. Turning her head she saw a wolf who must not have noticed her upon approach. He smelled like a male and had a cross on his side. That symbol she recognized on a wolf looking for her family.

With hopes of helping she stood but paused as another wolf showed up, another male. Alphonso must have smelled them as well as he came out of his burrow and looked. "Two wolves Madam Izzy." Isabella nodded. "Yes males." "Males? You plan to go near them at this time of year?" Isabella nodded. "Yes Alphonso, time of year or no if I do not wish for a mate I will not have one. This is about a task, that mark, I've seen it before on a wolf seeking family and wish to help."Isabella took a few steps forward as Alphonso dashed to her side to join her. The gecko's quick sudden steps contrasted with the controlled movement of the wolf. Approaching the free side of the crossed male she stood a comfortable distance from him with Alphonso standing under her.

There was silence in the air and she did not wish to be rude but she did wish to speak. "Greetings strangers." She said in maybe not the best way to break the silence. Her voice could have come off a little conceded yet she went on. "I am Isabella VentFlurrer, my apologies upon breaking the silence but I have seen another wolf with a cross seeking her family. Perhaps she meant you?" There was no need for small talk, just to address the issue at hand. Even so she did it with the best of manors, introducing herself first, apologizing for the disturbance and keeping her distance. Though that was also to size up the males and e at the best distance to react in fight or flight should she need to.

The silent serenity of the waves upon the shore gave the male the grace of thought. He was weary, the ongoing search for his missing family always tugging at his mind. He had been sitting there for mere moments, though it felt like hours before someone had slipped over to his side. Quietly, he glanced at the male as he acknowledged him with a dip of his head. He always welcomed quiet company, and was unwilling to break the silence as the other male seemed to be in thought as well. However, when he had decided to introduce at the very least, a name, another had approached with an introduction of her own. "I am Isabella VentFlurrer, my apologies upon breaking the silence but I have seen another wolf with a cross seeking her family. Perhaps she meant you?"

Immediately, his head snapped towards her. Audits at full attention at the new stranger as he stared in disbelief. Who had she meant? His hopes soared, so another had made it into these lands as well? Perhaps he was not short on the trail after all. "Uh, my name is Jinxx Black. Tell me, please. What did she look like? What was her name?" He stammered, not meaning to be rude in introductions, however, the news that one of his sisters was here had brought to him a renewed sense of urgency. He had to find her, had to find out if others had made it as well. And he would not stop his searching until his family was reunited. He would turn to the other male, apologetic look in his ocean blues as he dipped his head to him once more. "Apologies, I do not mean to be rude. It's just...I've been looking for my lost family since the downfall of our Clan." Ah, the memories. They began to darken his thoughts, cloud his mind. But he would push them away as quickly as they had come, trying not to allow them to fog the news he had just received. He had to keep the hope that his family was here, and were searching for each other...or so he hoped.
