Ebony paws struck the terra with a muted rage, her emotions held under control as she plodded along after her long swim. Her search for somewhere more interesting to be had failed, and so she was returning to Alacritia and wishing she could just tear everyone in half. She had been chased, attacked, and nearly raped while she had been gone, and the obsidian temptress was far from happy about it. A large reptile, which she quickly recognized as an alligator, had the audacity to hiss threateningly at her. The ebony furred bitch whirled around and snarled at it, charging forward with an expression that could make satan himself shit his pants. She stopped a foot from the grey scaled monster, breathing heavily and her fur raised like an angry porcupine as she snarled furiously. The alligator seemed to think better of his original plot and slid into the muddy puddle behind it's dirty, sun dried ass.

Scowling, the dark furred she wolf continued storming across the island in a huff, her charcoal tipped tail lashing back and forth at her heels as she kicked stones at iguanas and swept geckos into crevices infested by scorpions and spiders. A crocodile started up it's own hiss, and she rounded on it with a thoroughly pissed off expression. "Oh, fuck you! You scaly piece of shit! Go crawl into your muddy hole and sulk over your lack of water before I make you cry yourself a new one!" She screeched at it, baring her fangs as her mismatched optics burned with rage. When it quieted, she whirled around again and stalked over to a spindly, near dead shrub that would probably catch fire at any moment. Flopping down in the weak shade it provided, she glared out at the choppy water and waited for something else to work up the balls to try and piss her off further.

Well this was a truly desolate and disappointing place. Hermes frowned as he sat on the layers of shale that coated this part of the island. There wasn't much to be seen but lizards of all shapes and sizes and a lot of barren dirt and rock. The young brute wasn't even sure how he'd managed to get over here, well he swam, but why he decided to swim to this one he'd never know. Ruby eyes lingered around the terra after he shook his coat off. Hermes was just preparing to swim back to shore when he heard the loud swearing of a dame.

Far to curious to turn around and mind his own business the athletic male strode right toward the noise to find a female about his age cursing at a crocodile. He grinned. What a spirited fae! And ill-tempered as well. No doubt she'd turn on him the instant she saw him but he'd weathered worse. He watched calmly as the fae stocked off to the one bit of shade on the island.

Trotting over he came to a halt, tail twitching, one ear flicked back. "So you obviously are already going to hate me because of my existence but I'm just going to say hi anyway. Hello, strange angry woman. What brings you to this isle of lizard droppings?"

A wicked glare was raised from the ground, up the ebony pedestals of a wolf, the broad silvery chest of a male, and up to the crimson optics of a man about her age. Onyx lips would lift in a dangerous snarl as she pulled her tiara from her obsidian paws and narrowed her mismatched optics. "Escaping a crowd of angry brutes, if you must know." Sultry tones would growl, while she held the gaze of the stranger. She wasn't lying, but her tone dripped sarcasm like her favourite poison, and made it seem like she was lying. Her escape had been narrow, and she was lucky to be alive. She'd hidden away the fresh kill of a band of raiders, and they had figured out her trick quickly enough to bely their brainless appearance. "Now, what the hell do you want?" She would demand with an irritated flick from the charcoal tip of her tail. The ebony bitch did not have time to make small talk with some asshat who thought he could just waltz up and strike up a conversation like he had the right. Slowly she would heave herself into a sitting position, long, plush banner laying flush with her left haunch.

Mauve and evergreen optics would fixate upon the features of the ebony masked man, watching his emotions with a scowl. Aggravation was one of the main problems she had, and her attitude made sass her usual weapon of choice. Jet toned audits flicked irritably, flattened slightly against her skull as a result of her tumultuous mood. She impatiently stared down the male, waiting for him to respond. Was the question too hard for him or something?

An unusual pair of mismatched eyes glared up at him with an impressive mix of loathing though if it bothered Hermes he certainly didn't show it. He knew well what he was getting into when he said hello. Hermes nodded at her first statement as he glanced back at the crocodiles that were resting along the bank, eyeing the wolves. He never felt more like a snack. Glancing back at the fae he pondered what she could possibly be doing here. Maybe the brutes she was escaping from were not the crocodiles but some other wolves? This sure as heck was not a safe place to be alone.

"Now, what the hell do you want?"

Hermes frowned as he stared at her, head tilting first to one side then another as he struggled to hide a grin. "Oh I don't know. I suppose I'm wondering why a lovely femme such as yourself is literally laying out here waiting to be eaten? I imagine it's the solitude but? ha well that didn't work out to well did it?" He knew he should probably get going. The crocodiles were starting to amass. Where once was one were now three. But he didn't let his worry show he just glanced back at the fae. "Sure you wouldn't be interested in visiting a less hostile island? Maybe something with meat you don't need an epileptic otter to crack open?"

When she spoke, his crimson pools took on an amused glint. The urge to tear into him bubbled in her chest, but she settled for kneading the dried out earth with her talons. His flattery definitely got him a few brownie points, but she still wasn't impressed. He commented on her failed attempt to be alone, and her jaw would set in aggravation as she stared him down. "No. It really didn't." She would growl through gritted teeth, the glare she was sending him capable of melting steel. He turned to glance at the gathering crocodiles, seeming slightly uneasy with their presence. Mismatched eyes would roll skyward, thoroughly irritated by everything occurring at this point in time. He inquired as to whether or not she would rather go somewhere else, and the obsidian temptress muttered a string of extremely pissed off profanities.

Gaze would fall towards the ground for a moment, collecting her emotions before raising her gaze upwards to the coal masked features of the stranger. A bored, still somewhat annoyed expression on her defined features. "Fine, whatever makes you feel less like pissing yourself, kid." She would growl, raising herself to her tea cupped paws and starting off in an random direction. There was a large land mass visible before her, across choppy waters. Charcoal tipped tail would sweep over her heels like a silken furred pendulum as she walked, feminine hips swaying attractively as she trotted off. She didn't care if the male was following, she simply kept walking with the thought of getting back to the mainland in mind. Her family was probably still there, unless they'd decided she was indeed the smart one, and followed. Unlikely, most of them were far too idiotic to bother. Who knows what Loki had gotten up to in her absence, probably gotten Hati into predicaments, or gotten some dumb woman pregnant.

Mismatched pools scanned the shore for any dangerous life, and found nothing worthy of her fear. The ebony bitch would continue onward, padding into the shallows of the ocean until she was forced to start swimming. The undertow was impressive, but she was still fuelled by anger and the desire to be away from the pathetic scaled creatures of the island. The black waters were far from welcoming, which still failed to make the she wolf care about anything at the moment. Eventually her talons would scrape furrows into the sand on the other shore, and she would stride up onto the pale sand. Gods, was it ever hot on the mainland. Shaking the salty water from her thick jet coat, she would lower her haunches to the ground and rest. Tall ebony audits would flicker back and forth, capturing the ambiance of the area. Nothing to pique her interest, so the dark femme would wait for whatever came next.

Ok, so she was kind of fun to annoy. Hermes continued to stare at the female, head tilted slightly to the side as shot back snark-filled venom. He had no idea how far he could push before she snapped back at him but he had every intention of finding out as the young male was uncertain how to de-escalate the situation anyway. Besides if it came to a spar he could always use the practice. Though he'd rather take her out for a hunt, something fun and unusual.

"Kid? HA!" He strode forward, letting his muscular frame speak for itself. He was nearly two years old, far from the wiry little scrap he used to be. Hermes wouldn't bother commenting on the verbal assault to his bravery. He could show her that soon enough anyway and besides this was more fun now that she was actually going somewhere.

Hermes followed her at a leisurely pace. Nose taking in her scent. A rogue as far as he could tell, she didn't really smell of pack. He half thought of trying to recruit her but he was fairly certain his mother would not like this young fae's mouth and disrespect. Not that he could blame her. She clearly wasn't raised in a pack like he was.

His eyes finally rested on her frame, her swaying hips, the way the sun caught her fur and he started to feel? funny. There was a slight burning ache in his nether regions but he tried to force it from his mind, though the unfamiliar sensation was starting to make him a bit nervous. She couldn't have poisoned him, right?

They soon reached the ocean and Hermes followed her in, powerful limbs and muscular chest churning the water with practiced precision. As soon as he reached the shore he shook out his coat and turned to her grinning. "So? you have a name? Please don't have me try and pick out a nickname for you I'm lousy at that." He chuckled softly to himself when his ears picked up the sounds of nesting birds. "Ohhhh?. " he sighed to himself as his gaze turned in the direction. "You like eggs at all Miss Mystery?" Hermes slowly licked his limbs as he rolled his shoulders forward, working out the kinks as he prepared to run, his body slinking low as he stalked forward toward the nesting sea birds. He turned to glance back at her to see if she'd join in. If she was and she was ready he'd rush them if not well? he was all for showing off a bit.
