ooc: if any loners join, keep in mind he is 3 months old and is a ludi wolf.

Aqua orbs would stare into the night, narrowing at the thought coursing through his head. He had not seen his parents for a couple days now, only spending time with his sibling, Zlata. Lips would pull back, it was pathetic. Where were they? They should be at home, taking care of heir children. Tail would lash behind the young male, paws carrying him along the edge of a hot spring. The warmth was soothing, scaring away the cold of night. "They left..." He growled, coming to a stop, head low, gaze focused upon a small pebble in his path. After a couple seconds of staring at it a paw would lift off the ground before smacking it aside, a splash coming from it landing into the pool beside him. He didn't need them, and neither did his sister. He would watch over her, for himself.

The addition of the new territories to her real had been a blessing, she loved visiting the falls as well as the hot spring. With the hot weather it was more likely to find the girl at the falls, the cool water and shade a blessing in the humid weather. That was where she had been all day, but now that night had settled she found it unusually cool. Sure she should have been off finding her den and curling up with Elohim, but she wanted to relax in the hot water before she drifted to sleep. As she wandered slowly towards the warmth and the pools she would pick up a scent she knew. One of Aurora's children was out here. He seemed alone too. She had been there for his birth and naming, but she hadn't seen him since then. She had to doubt that he would remember her either. So cautiously the small she wolf would approach, a smile on her face and worry in her heart. What was he doing? "Hi, Australis. You probably don't remember me but I'm Novel." she would smile and sit a few feet from the boy, not wanting to invade his personal space. He seemed slightly distressed, and she wondered I she would need to offer him any of her herbs. "Why are you out here so late?" her voice was quiet but curious as her oceanic gaze would curiously watch his young form.?

A small sound would make an ear twitch, head turning to allow his gaze to fall upon an older wolf, his nose catching the scent of a fellow pack member. Australis would watch her approach silently, smiling which would make him a tad bit uncomfortable. The boy had not met the rest of the pack yet, only spent time with his small family so it was strange for him. She greeted him, mentioned that he probably wouldn't remember her but her name was Novel. They had met before? When? A brow would raise as he took a step back, gaze narrowed in suspicion. Could he trust the lady? The lady asked why he was out here so late, and with that the boy would look down at his paws. He couldn't sleep, his head thinking about his parents too much, mostly his mother. "Was thinking..."For a young child his tones were oddly cold, and he didn't bother telling her his name since she already seemed to know it, from whenever they had last met. Did she know about his parents? And if so, would she be able to help her?

Zlata was giving Australis a bit of space, keeping herself nearly three lengths behind him as he walked ahead. Her silver brow was furrowed in concern, wondering what had happened to the two parents that had seemed so in love with them only weeks ago. Did they change their mind? Perhaps she had done something wrong...the small babe shook her head and quickened her pace, ebony paws feeling the ground gradually dampening as they approached the springs.

She raised her head, velvet black ears swiveling forward when she heard her brother speaking to someone. Fear gripped at her belly and she lurched herself forward into a run. Instinctively, her tiny lips raised in a growl to show pearly white and pointed canines, hackles raising across her back and ebony ears flattening against her head. She finally caught up to Australis and stood beside him, her knees bent and prepared to pounce. Silver eyes looked up into the face of a fellow packmate with soft eyes and a warm smile. Suddenly her countenance fell, and a look of wonderment crossed her features.

"Who are-" She began, and then sat her rump into the wet soil, her lip trembling. "Where's Aurora? And Magnus?" She truly didn't care who the wolf was in front of her, she just wanted her mom and dad. She and Australis were lost without them. For three months living, the babe knew more than she should about living without the help of others.

The yearling's bright gaze would dwindle on the pup's small form, it became quite obvious that he was wary. She would fold her ears sympathetically, hoping he wasn't too fearful of her. The chocolate colored boy would step away, obviously weary of her appearance. Novel would consciously do her best to keep from moving too much, she was afraid shed scare him into one of the pools! Instead he would look to his feet, cold tones fleeing dark lips. Concern would certainly grip her, something was not right. Suddenly they were not alone, Aurora's daughter Zlata would appear in the clearing. She seemed quite defensive, her fur all poofy. Novel had to stifle a giggle, but there was a serious situation at hand. Words would spill from the child's lips, she could feel her heart breaking not being able to just cuddle them both up. At the same time she would realize the reason the two pups were so suspicious. Aurora and Magnus were gone. They didn't know where their parents were, and Novel had just assumed they were with the newborns. She hadn't seen the pups personally since before their eyes opened. "I thought they were with you pups. I'm Novel, I was there when you guys were born." she would keep her simple smile as she continued, letting her chest fall to the ground. "How long have they been missing?" She was concerned for their safety, knowing Aurora was one of her moms best friends. "Is this the first time you've left the den?" she was quite curious, and wondered about how much they knew of the world outside the den. She wanted to know how various she should be with them so close to the water.?

In no time after speaking to the older wolf, Zlata would make an appearance, poofing up and becoming defensive over her brother. He would form a very small smile at his sister, so ready to pounce. In seconds she would calm down however, the stance dropping to a more calm and friendly posture upon seeing a packmate. Australis would brush his tail against her side, gently bumping shoulders, puling his gaze away from her to look at the older wolf.

His brows would come together upon his sister asking who Novel was, asking where their parents were. Lips pulled back in a low, irritated growl at their names, but would press his cheek into Zlata's neck and give a small kiss on her cheek. Cold and distant to others, the boy was comforting and friendly to his sister.

Novel would go on to introduce herself to Zlata, saying that she thought Aurora and Magnus with them, and that she was there when they were born. Ah, so that's how she knew his name. Aqua orbs watched her carefully as she lowered, asking how long they had been missing and if this was the first time they left the den. ?Not our first time.? Tones like before, but this time he wouldn't look to Novel. Instead the boy would be facing his sister, using a paw to comb out some crumpled leaves from her side. He would allow his sister to explain when their parents had abandoned them, speaking about it for him made the boy very upset.

The silver babe was not pleased to hear that the adult had not seen her parents. She wanted to call out to them, to howl to the heavens for their return but she knew it would be no use. Her ebony lip began to tremble once more as the one called Novel continued to speak, and was comforted by the warmth of her brothers pelt pressed up against her. She returned the soft kiss to his shoulder and turned back to the woman. She had strength now, in Australis. He would never let her feel lost or forgotten.

Petite chin lifted almost in defiance of the two who had left their children behind. Zlata cleared her throat and moved an ebony paw to brush the leg of her brother. "Aurora wasn't happy with us. She was sad all the time, and I think she went to go find different pups or something. Because she left one day and didn't come back to feed us. Magnus must have gone to find her cuz he loved her more than us anyway. It was like someone was missing and we weren't enough...like they were always looking for someone else. And now theyre gone..."

Silver pools of moonlight, identical to her mothers, lowered to the ground as she stilled her breathing. The soft combing of Australis paw through her fur allowed her to slow her heartbeat and continue speaking to the would-be stranger who stood be for them. She lifted her optical once not and swallowed a sob that threatened to rise in her throat.

"We have never hunted, so we have been eating lotsa berries and grass and stuff." Her belly rumbled at the thought, missing the sweetness of her mothers milk and the warmth that came with its consumption. Had it been weeks? A month? She had lost track of the days, and thus stayed silent on the matter.

It was so odd that the boy seemed so cold, she had to guess that if her parents had left her that she would be just as distant. She would commend him though, he would offer comfort and protection to his sister and that was all that mattered. He didn't have to like her, or even talk to her, so long as he took care of his sister. Novel still felt sad for the pair, she couldn't imagine not having her parents. Zlata's young words would follow the boy's and she would tell her of what they had endured so far. She didn't know if she could believe that aurora and Magnus had left because they didn't love their children, but she would keep such thoughts to herself. She would find herself slipping as a pained whine would fall from her lips, she felt terrible for these babies like it had been her who had abandoned them. She would place her head upon her tiny pale paws as Zlata continued her story. Mismatched ears would fold to her head as she mentioned a lack of food. Novel was far from being a mother, her year old body hadn't even thought about lactating yet. She had no way to offer them such luxuries, but she was getting rather good at hunting. "I'm so sorry you have had to go through so much." she would stifle her own sob as she continued with her offer, "I've been practicing my hunting though, if you'd like me to try and catch you a meal." her ears would perk up again as she tried to change the subject. She could still feel her heart breaking for the two pups and she only wished there was more she could do.?

Australis would pause in the combing when Zlata touched his leg, ears laying back against his skull as she spoke to Novel. The boy had nothing to say about his parents, didn't want to talk about them and cause the pain in his heart to get worse. How could their parents just leave them like that? They were only pups, they couldn't survive on their own... then again, the two had each other, so in a way they weren't alone. He wouldn't leave Zlata like their parents had, he would make sure to be there for her whenever she needed him, even if Aus couldn't show the full emotions like her. He had his own special way that she understood.

He would gently touch her shoulder with his nose once she finished, giving a gentle lick. ?I'm Here Zlata, I won't ever leave you.? Puppy tones were caring, gentle towards his sister unlike they had been for the other wolf. Their parents didn't love them, if they did then they would have stayed to love and take care of them. The two weren't the right children for them, something about them just wasn't appealing to the adults... and it sickened the boy. Aus wouldn't allow it to effect how he felt towards his sister however like Aurora and Magnus, he would love her, and take care of her.

Upon the mention of food, the boy couldn't help but frown at it. They had to eat what they could find laying around, berries, grass, twigs, leaves, etc. It was nothing like the warm, filling milk they used to get from their mother. The whole time his body was facing his sibling and away from Novel, not caring to see her expressions, to feel pity for the children. She wasn't important to him, Zlata was. So when she apologized for their ordeal he would just give a flick of his ear. That would change though when she brought up hunting, and if they'd like she could try catching them a meal.

As he looked to his sister his eyes would seem to light up at the chance to eat a real meal, their bellies would no longer hurt and grumble. ?Real food sister, should we let her?? She asked quietly, glancing over at Novel briefly before turning back to Zlata. If she was okay with it then he was.
