The behemoth of a man was ready, turning towards the male as soon as he had spoken the rank he desired. The another woman arrive and hissed words that struck a cord within him, this was not a rank for the light of heart and he would do anything in his power to destroy this male. He nodded towards the woman, a petite thing and young still but she as wise beyond her years an Kylar could appreciate that. So with a jerk of his head for the male to follow Kylar would turn and lumber off a short distance, putting space between their fight and the other ones striking up around them. Kylar's fights rarely shifted or moved much with his style o fighting but that wasn't to say that the other battles wouldn't move around. So as he found his spot the male would turn, sliding with an odd amount of grace around to face his challenger. Defences would side into place with practiced ease, neck arching, chin tipping up and lower jaw unhinging to cover his throat. Back would arch and abdomen tucked to gather his core strength up. Ears folded against his skull and eyes narrowed to protected the delicate features. One forepaw slid slightly forward and a hind slid slightly back as legs loosened and bent at the knee to absorb any shock that might come his way. Tail was half between raised and lowered, ready to be used as a rudder for sudden movements and ready to tuck if an attack came its way. "At your ready..." Voice grated and growled against vocals as lips curled back into a snarl and hackles raised to make his massive form seem even more imposing.

Uisge

He was ready. The male held no fear, though he was not foolish either. This challenge was not all too important to him, win or lose, it wouldn't keep him from his goals. It would either further or hinder him, so he cared not what happened. This was simply a test, and if he were to lose he would just retake it again later after a bit more practice. He was not overly confident like many of the younger generation, thinking they could win when clearly they were inexperienced. But he? He had experience in killing, taunting, confusing the other into letting him slip past their defenses. At times he held no honor, though it depended on what he wanted to gain. Today, just a mere test for a title. Nothing really of importance. He followed the other quietly to the place they would spar. His only thoughts being win or lose, it would not matter to him. Either way, he'd get what he wanted in the end by any means necessary.

Sapphire eyes watched as the male set himself up, and Uisge likewise would begin to do the same. Hackles rose, ears flattened against his russet crown, sapphires narrowed to slits, teeth flashing in a snarl, head lowered and chin tucked over his throat for protection, tail balanced out to act as a rudder as it aligned with his spine, claws scraping into the dirt for traction as he lowered his center of gravity and bent his knees for ease of movement. Abdomen tightened, allowing his core to become hardened to disallow any major damage that might be thrown in that direction. His scruff would bunch to offer protection to the back of his neck whilst his shoulders rolled forward to further protect his neck from damage. He was ready now, and he would debate whether or not to give the male the first attack. But alas, he did not want to keep the brute waiting, and so he would launch himself forward to give the first blow an attempt.

Uisge would decide to come head on, left shoulder jutting forward to try and smash into the other males upper right shoulder. Much like a head on car collision, he would strive to use the force and speed to push his opponent back and aim to bruise the area. And of course, he knew that if it hit he too would possibly end up with a well earned bruise from a straightforward attack. Whether his initial attack hit or missed, he didn't care. Either way, his head would snake forward in an attempt to bite at the males right side, aiming to get a grip on the side of the neck or face, whichever fell into splayed jaws. All he wanted to do was bite and try not to let go, to cause pain and show this male that he meant business when it came down to it. All the while his right forepaw would reach forward to grasp Kylar's, an attempt to hook it and yank him forward to try and unbalance him. Uisge would remain grounded, his remaining legs spread to keep sturdy and balanced while he attempted to push at his opponent.

ooc: don't mind me

Her gaze would shift from one battle to another. She would watch the two men battle from a distance. Uisge would be the first to move, attacking head on. The pair would make for an interesting fight. Resting on haunches, she would watch for a few moments, listening to the other fights, preparing to announce winners of those already done. Some she would undoubtedly have to break up, she could nearly taste the aggression in the air as each battled for a title they could call their own.

The man would follow and set defences of his own but Kylar barely paid any mind to his opponent in the span where they steadied themselves. Instead gaze would meet his Queens and he would throw an easy wink her way. Attention would be turned back to his opponent at the sound of scraping claws to find him preparing to attack. The sentry was more then happy to hand out the first blow, used to a more defensive strategy when it came to battles. Uisge would go for a more head on tactic and a slow smile would slither across Kylar's dark lips as limbs would bend further to brace for the attack. Though the male was only 6 inches shorter then himself he was lither, made more for speed then strength and easily 50 pounds lighter if not more. So as Uisage charged forward the massive beast would shove his whole body weight forward to meet the blow full force, there would be intense bruising there he could feel it already but he could hope the force he had added to the impact would damage the male's shoulder, maybe even dislocate it. His opponent's jaws would find purchase on the meat of his shoulder as they were still chest to chest. He felt the male's paw reach and snake around his forelimb but he simply lifted it from reach, swinging it in an attempt to drape it over Uisge's shoulders and add a bit of weight and force him to stay close. Haunches would curl, pulling himself and hopefully the male back if he decided to keep his hold a few inches before crown would lift and curl, arching and then striking down at the back of Uisge's neck like a serpent if the male had remained in his original spot. He would attempt to gain hold of the male along his spinal cord, the closer to his head the better but he would take anywhere. If he landed his hold other forelimb would come up to wrap around Uisage's shoulders and he would throw his weight forward in an attempt to shove his advisory to the ground. All the while hind legs remained splayed to keep what little balance he had, tail now out behind him to add some extra balance. Ears remained pinned and eyes narrowed as he rolled shoulders forward and tensed muscles to make it harder to Uisage to pull a muscle away from bone. Stomach tightened and back arched to keep his weight as close together as possible. He knew he had put himself in a vulnerable position here but he was hoping his weight would give him the upper hand.

ONE TWO THREE

ATTACKS: Shoved his weight forward just before impact to try and dislocate Uisage?s shoulder or increase bruising. Lifted his left forepaw from Uisge?s grasp and attempted to throw it over the male?s shoulders to keep him close. Leaned backwards to try and pull Uisge off balance then lifted himself and arched his neck in an attempt to land a bite on the back of his opponent?s neck as far up the spine towards the base of the skull as possible. Should these two attacks land then he will try and throw his other forepaw over Uisge?s shoulder in an attempt to pull him close and then shove him downwards.

DEFENSES: KINDA GOT THROWN OUT THE WINDOW. Minimal defenses. Hind legs splayed and bent, with a tucked abdomen and arched back to keep his body weight as above his hind legs as possible. Tail out to act like a rudder. Ears pinned and eyes narrowed.

INJURIES: Sever bruising to his chest and deep puncture wounds along right shoulder from Uisge?s bite.

Ooc: crappy post for a sleepy dragon lol just wanted to get it out of the way.

Uisge

His opponent was larger then him, though that did not deter the male from trying. The pair had collided, and he knew that Kylar would feel the bruises just as much as he, because he could feel them already along his chest though it did not bother him. Uisge's bite would succeed, however, he did not keep his hold for more then a few seconds as he did not want to remain within close proximity of the larger male for longer then he had too. His attempt at off balancing had failed, and with that the Gaelic beast would move back as Kylar's teeth snaked forward, Uisge having removed the initial target in time so the larger males forepaws merely scratched his shoulders whilst teeth got a loose grip on his scruff before he tore away. Nothing too serious, it only tore the skin just a bit.

As Uisge pulled back, he would begin to set his defenses. Though something unpredictable would happen, and rather painful as well. As he stepped back, his left hind foot would find purchase in a small hole, off balancing him and causing his ankle to twist. He snarled as his leg crumpled beneath him, the male falling away from his opponent as ears pinned with annoyance. Perhaps it was a sign that he was meant to be placed elsewhere...Ah well, there was no helping it now. He released a sharp bark to his opponent, indicating that he was not going to continue. Sapphire pools gazed up at Kylar, a nod of respect sent his way as he hastily pulled himself to his feet. Left hind leg raised off the ground slightly, as pressure seemed to be painful. "I'm afraid I must forfeit, me ankle has twisted and aye cannae continue. Perhaps in the future you 'n I kin try agin in a fair fight." Irish accent leaked into the air, blue gaze moving to Cataleya in apology. "Sorry 't disappoint ye Miss, I'll show ye prood next time." Indeed he would show her again, show her he was worthy of a place within the pack. This was just a mishap, he would make sure it not happen again.
