I was thinking the ground could go out from under them once Quelt showed up. >:D

It was unlike anything she had experienced before, it felt as though the place would just crash together and fall apart into tiny little pieces. Koi would crouch low to the ground as the ground trembled, paws trying with all their might to hang on. Ears were pinned back against her skull, the sound of horse hooves stomping the ground unbearable, the groaning of trees nearby swaying, even a few snapping and tumbling to the ground. This particular branch would fall just beside the girl, sending her in an overwhelming fear. A yelp escaped her jaws, tail going between her legs, and she would dart off. Legs move in and out, little white paws drumming against the earth, turning and weaving between pieces of the earth that were slicing upward from the ground every few feet every time she seemed to evade one.

An earthquake was shaking the land, what a pleasant welcome gift for him. He had experienced one before back at his home, it was just as bad as well which meant many would be in severe danger if they didn't avoid all the falling pieces. Quelt was quick to react from experience, the large man was a bigger target for falling objects, boulders and tree's. His body swerving, as he watched where the land would crack to avoid them. His black tail swung to the wide as he caught someone in his bi colored orbs. A rather small woman with her tail tucked between her legs. He instantly went into hero knight mode and frowned as he made haste to get to her. "You have to stay calm." He said in a loud controlling voice. It was still soft though and concerned for her well being. One of his biggest weaknesses might have been being a selfless freak in lots of situations. As his paws steadied on the ground, he kept eye contact with her and made sure to take in deep breaths. Speech,

Koi seemed to be running for her life, jumping and weaving between the rubble being thrown up into the air. It was scary, and for a brief couple of seconds as she ran the inexperienced girl thought the world was coming to an end. Body was shaking from nose to tail tip, heart beating fast, eyes swelling up with tears. She didn't want to die, not today, not like this! She wanted to grow old, be able to eventually have a family and teach them lots of things.

Out of the destruction a voice would speak, loud, powerful. She would turn her head to spot a large wolf running up beside her, telling her that she had to stay calm. ?WHAT?! She barked without meaning too, how the hell was she supposed to stay calm while something like this was going on? Copper orbs would lock onto red and blue, her fear incredibly visible, possibly even felt by the man. What she could feel from him in those seconds of making contact was a strong man, that she should try an listen to him, even if it was very difficult.

With clenched jaws the girl would listen to the man, her pace slowing down, digging her paws into the ground to finally come to a complete stop. Koi wouldn't become all happy however, ears would remain pinned back, tail tucked in between her legs. Even if she didn't know who this man was, or if he was friendly or dangerous, she would cower up against his side, body pressing into his as she watched the ground be torn up around them. ?What's happening? Are we going to die?? Her voice was so terrified, eyes as big as dinner plates and blurred with tears.

Any logical being would be scared in this situation, even Quelt had to admit he was a bit scared. It was less threatening with this being not the first quAke he had been in, but for her sake as well he would keep himself calm, take deep breaths and his heart beat slow down. It was dangerous in this area with tree's and loose ground to split apart. He needed to stay with her in the hopes of waiting it out. His eyes narrowed as he calmly breathed in and out. "You aren't going to die, just breath in and out. The earth-quake will pass just keep looking at me okay." he said and smiled. His tail perking to keep level with his spine to gain more balance. The ground was going to split, well he certainly hoped not. "Whats your name cute one, I'm Quelt kinda new around here." the man tried to keep her distracted, in the hopes she would try to remain calm. Though there was no telling what would happen. Keep her safe, that was all he had in his head. If he could help one wolf, it was enough for him knowing they'd be okay. He continued to breath in and out, in and out. Breaths were short and quick, almost hyperventilating. Koi tried keeping eye contact with the man, tried to slow down hr breath but wasn't having much luck. He told her she wasn't going to die and that she should breath in and out, the earthquake would pass, just keep looking at him. Quickly she nodded her head to his words, her breathing slowly but surely becoming longer and not as rapid. Amber orbs stared into red and blue, an interesting combination of colors. She tried to block out the destruction going on around them, the crashing of stone into stone, the ripping of the earth, and the shaking, oh god the shaking was beginning to make her dizzy and nauseous.

As if he read her mind, the man asked what Koi's name was, even using cute in his sentence. A small smile formed at this, but she was still clearly scared. ?Koi, Koi Hutashi.? Her voice was raised when a thunderous crack sliced through the air, almost making her miss what his name was. Quelt, he was kind of new around here. ?Me too.? She added on, about being new here.

The shaking would begin to grow worse, and the earth around them seemed to be cracking faster than the eyes could keep up with. With what seemed like seconds the two were in the center of the circle of cracks, and it would suddenly jerk from beneath them, enough to make Koi yelp and almost fall to her knees. ?Quelt!? Before the poor girl could get back beside the man, the ground gave way. The last thing he would see was the pure fear, tear filled eyes of the little girl slip into the crumbling earth. Her blood curdling scream almost drowned out by the clashing rocks and earth. Everything went black.

Quelt was glad she was paying attention to him, she was trying to steady her breathing. Those were good signs, but the shaking didn't stop, this definitely was a big one. Her name, Koi, Koi Hutashi what a pretty name. His tail flicked behind him as he kept a clear smile across his face. So she was new, what a sad situation to get stuck into together. Though his happiness was sucked out of him like a vacuum when the ground creaked and split into two. Quelt slipped off to the side, when he heard her voice, ears pinned as he winced hearing her fall. Shit! Quickly he stood up and jumped across the crack, the ground still shaking made him trip down the same hole she had fallen into. Paws scrambling to try and get hold, but down he went with a small thump. Silence, it plagued everything as his eyes focused on the sound of dirt crumbling. The terrifying shaking had stopped, but now there were mounds of dirt in this crevice he had fallen into. Quelt had not been scratched other than the fall, standing up it took him a moment to process. Koi was no longer beside him, alarm raised within him as he looked around frantically for the small girl. "Koi! Koi!" he yowled looking along the darker parts of the cavern, and also digging in the dirt in case it had caved in on her. He needed to find her, make sure she was okay, then get out of here before the both of them starved to death or worse, a less nice wolf came along to take them away. Speech,

Darkness, it was overwhelming, and the silence made it terrifying. She couldn't hear anything, the shaking had stopped for sure, but where was Quelt, why wasn't he saying anything? She went to take in a panicked breath, but something was wrong, dirt filled her mouth. Eyes shot open, but still there was darkness all around, and she couldn't move. 'What's happening?!' Limbs frantically tried to move, held in place by the dirt all around her, there was just barely enough for her to wiggle an inch.

Koi would try coughing, get the dirt away from her mouth enough so that she could at least get some air in her lungs. Cough, cough, cough. Just barely enough, but it was still air, and so she would hungrily suck it up and hold it in. Something would move from nearby, dirt being dug up. Was that Quelt, was he stuck too? No, they couldn't both be stuck! They couldn't die down here, not like this!

Using all her strength the girl began to move her body as much as possible, head going back and forth, just a few centimeters the first, the slowly she would get more room. Legs attempted to kick , to shove her body backwards. She needed to make space, needed to create some sort of tunnel to dig to the surface or at least get some away from above her so that her voice could be heard. She had to let him know she was alive, and she need to know he was too.

After what seemed like a couple of long minutes, when in reality it was just a couple seconds, the girl managed to make enough space to move freely, but unable to turn around in her little prison. Hopefully it would be good enough, she was quickly running out of air. "Quelt! Down here!" She yelled with all her strength, pausing to take a breath, pressing her head against the wall of dirt above her. "Please, answer!" She whined, tears running down her cheeks from her already water filled eyes. Whether he heard her or not, her voice would be muffled some by being buried. 'Be alright...'

She was beginning to feel light headed and dizzy.

God damnit this was not a situation he had hoped to pull them into, it was ever so frustrating. Not to mention Koi was so small she wouldn't last long in a place like this. The black leg of his made another claw at the dirt, coughing with the dust he accidentally inhaled. Other than a few bruises though he was fine from his little fall of trying to find Koi. He wandered closer to the middle of the crevice, cooling his breathing as he looked up at the sky. Sticking his head on the dirt, he cursed to himself but then tried to calm himself to the point where he could hear past his heartbeat. Red and blue eyes would come to look around, the quiet only dragging on. But what seemed like forever he heard a distant voice. It was further in, further down probably closer to one of the small drops. His legs locked up, as his dark blue ears swiveled seeing if she would speak again. She did, making the man instantly hope to where the location was hopefully. His paws stopping him on the small slanting ledge where he spotted the small girl(or at least part of her). "KOI!" he yelled jumping down to her side slamming through the dirt in hopes it didn't collapse on her. He looked her over, her fur all of it. "Koi, koi you can hear me right?" he asked, to check if she was conscious. Even if she wasn't he could drag her up where she could breath at least. Away from this mound of dirt he oh so obviously created on accident. Hoping that she wasn't hurt by his little tantrum on the dirt trying to find her. Speech,
