It was with an almost puppyish excitement that the boy would cross over once more to the territory of Valhalla. The home of his sister was becoming a nice retreat after long journeys in the surrounding worlds. This time he had seen plenty of wolves and found himself in odd situations. He could already imagine bringing a smile to her lips with some of the stories he had to tell. He would let himself into the territory, having already had the go ahead by this lands Lady and would find himself quickly at the den of his sister. Sometimes, with the weights the world had put on him and his fiery need to protect his sisters it was hard to remember that he was actually still just a young boy. His inner strengths and passions, his lack of innocence to the world often outweighed this, but as he yapped outside her den and pranced against the spot, this was the boy that could be seen.

He had not displayed his younger self for the passing of seasons now, but with the scent of his sister in his nostrils, the memory of adventures past he let himself be young again. Only with Twig, only ever with Twig could he dare show this lighter, carefree and vonurable side of himself. His bond with his older sister was absolute, and sometimes he could always be the 'older' brother, especially when he was born a litter after her. ?Twig, come on? He called, excitement creeping into his tones, before he would push himself into the den to forcibly drag her out by the scruff if she refused to share the brightness of the day with him.

Yesterday had been one of the most difficult days of her life, seeing Fern's grave has certainly finalized many I her emotions. There was no way around it now, her eyes had fallen upon the ground where she lay. It was like seeing the reality had made something within her click. She wasn't searching for her anymore and the night mares of her not finding what was lost ceased. She would find peaceful slumber within her den that night, only waking when the sound of Crucifix's gentle whine reached her ears. Her orchid optics would blink open as she let her head rise from her slate covered paws. A long yawn would be let loose from her jaws as her ears would swivel to take in the sounds of his pacing. His voice was soon to follow, further coaxing the sleepy girl from her hole. She would slip from its depths, an amused smile upon her features as she took in her baby brother's form. "I'm coming, soothe yourself." she would giggle as her legs extended to their full length. Pushing herself towards him she would snuggle him lovingly and push her head beneath his neck, so happy to see him. "I've missed you." her voice a whisper as his scent mingled within her nose, eyes closed blissfully.?

He had far too much energy then what was good for him, pacing up and down and whinning outside his sisters den, barely giving her time to blink and awaken before he would call to her again. She would speak and he would cast her a slightly sheepish expression and still as she pulled herself from the den and came towards him. He would welcome her embrace, snuggling against her as she did also and feeling the still slighlty frail body that was Twig. He knew she was stressed more often then not, and even after his return and insistances she still had less meat to her bones then he would have like. ?Twig? He said softly, nuzzling into her own coat and enjoying the simple joy her presence made within him.

He would pull away then, forcing himself not to prance on the spot as he eyes her some more. ?Do you have any plans today? Because if not your spending it with me? he would tease lightly, already deciding which stories he would be telling her, others he would tuck away for later days.

The amount of energy her brother possessed would have been exhausting were it not so refreshing. Being around him while he was so excited would cause her own energy levels to begin increasing. She would approach and embrace him lovingly, melting into him as he surrounded her with his warmth. She would bury her features into his plush neck and feel as her tail began to wag rather happily. Though she wished their embrace would last forever her inverted almost twin would pull back a bit, enough that she could clearly see his mirrored purple gaze. He would ask her of the plans she held, and other than continuing her rest she had made no prior engagements. She was all his. "Even if I did you can be certain that I'd cancel them just for you." she would smile lovingly as she moved closer to nuzzle him again. She felt herself craving the close proximity of her brother and wished he would stay by her side forever more. "What did you have in mind for me?" she would ask curiously as she moved to again peer into his royal colored gaze.?

He would offer her a grin at her words, as she ensured him that her day was his. perfect he thought, thoroughly pleased with that response. Now that she had said it, it also meant that she couldn't back out... She would bring forth the perfect opening for his suggestions as she asked for his plans. ?We're going for a walk. Outside of Valhalla territory, its well past time you had some fresh air dear sister? he teased her, uncertain if she had ventured very far outside Valhalla territory since seeking refuge here.

He would nudge her gently with his neck as he pulled away, nodding his head as further instance toward the direction he wished to go. He would then start walking assuming that she would follow him. He had seen much of the rogue lands these last few weeks. He had met many wolves and had come to enjoy the freedom of the wide world beyond this pack in which he had found his beloved sister. ?And, for your entertainment I have plenty of stories to tell you about my own adventures, if your willing to hear them? he would add, placing the squirrel story above all else. He had no doubt that Twig would gain grain entertainment from hearing of that little incident.

She didn't know what she has gotten herself into when she gave full authority to her brother, the words that would come however would crack her happy features. She would be excited for their walk, but he would go on to explain that they would be leaving the territory. He was very much correct in assuming she hadn't left the Valhallan lands, and to be honest she had no desire to. She was protected here, by many many wolves, she had no reason to feel any type of fear whilst under Erani's protection. Would she be safe with Cru? Of course, but still there was a nervousness there she wasn't sure she was ready to face. "But Cru.." She would be interrupted by his gentle nosing, as she realized he would certainly not be taking no for an answer. With wide eyes she would follow his lead, but her demeanor would show her obvious distress. She knew that Crucifix would protect her but the thought didn't help her tail curling slightly between her legs.?

His words would begin to soothe her as they walked, his gentle voice a life raft she would cling to. She wanted to be brave for her little brother, but it seemed impossible for her to even put up a facade. He would tell her that he had many adventures to share with her, maybe it was possible the boy could convince her the outside world was not so terrible. "I would like to hear them, yes." she would nod as she sped up slightly, her side bumping his as they walked ever closer to the borders. "Just keep me safe, Cru." she would whisper as they drew ever near the outside world and rogue lands.?

He knew she was uncertain, could her it in her tones, her hesitant words, but she was also very much correct to think he would not take no for an answer. He was also determined to keep the happy grin upon his features, determined to show her she had nothing to fear well beside him. He was sure that he could protect, if ever there was a cause to do so. He wasn't a stranger to fighting, and his passion when it came to his sister was so immense he doubted anything could ever get in his way of protecting her. No, he would let no harm befall her but nor would he let her hide any longer. If she wanted to repair, find closure and move on with her life then she must face any fears the beast had installed within her ? she must leave her warm, protective shell.

?You will never have anything to fear well beside me, dear Twig. Believe me, I can protect you? he ensured her softly, turning to nose her once more, offering a warm smile to try and ease her worry. But it was his belief he would have no need to protect her from a physical force, but a mental one. They where near the borderlands of Valhalla now and her words would ring out softly behind him. His smile when he turned was soft, and so very full of all the emotions she brought from him. ?always? he whispered.

But nor did he want to linger on her fear, to give her a chance to freeze of back from this. He would match her pace paw for paw, swinging his tail lazily behind her, occasionally buffing her back legs with a swing. ?Alright, well first of all let me tell you of my run in with a crazy squirrel...? he would say, and with that he would lunge into the tale, telling her of its curled against his back even as he slept on, oblivious. He told her of his awakening by the laughter of a pup, the startling of the squirrel that had scampered up into the tree tops before he even knew it was there. Then, to top it all off the creature had thrown an acorn in a perfect shot at his head. He told her all of this, ending it with the part that he had hunted rabbits with the girl he had met, and the lunch they had enjoyed in the warm sun of the rogue lands.

She knew that Crucifix had ever intention of protecting her with his life if need be. She knew how safe she was while traveling beside his muscular form, still the feeling of helplessness would not be shaken. Not yet. Her brother would offer her words of encouragement and reassurance. Reiterating the fact that he would keep her safe no matter the cost. She would lean into his touch, feeding off of his confidence and trying to break away from her nervousness. As their paws brought them to the border Crucifix would assure her yet again that he would protect her, so with just a slight but of hesitation the broken she wolf would face her fear and step over the pack's borders.?

Crucifix would not let her linger on her doubting thoughts though, actin as though not a single thing had changed the boy would go on. Still beside her and offering a strong shoulder to support her, as his tail would caress her ankles her own luxurious appendage would release itself from a cowering state. Her thoughts would become occupied with her brother's story. She would find herself completely amused as he told her of his run in with an absolutely crazy squirrel. Her giggles would join in with his tale, her eyes widening as he continued. Her total focus was placed within his words, and she would not notice how far they had come until the adventurous story was complete. It seemed like such a wonderful tale, the uniqueness of it would bring her further from her nervousness. "then what happened to the squirrel? Did he just disappear into the trees?" as she asked her violet gaze would peer around them. "We've come so far, where are you taking me to?" she would affectionately bump into her brother's shoulder as she wondered if such an amusing adventure would befall them today.?

It seemed a fairly important step to Cru when she made that movement over the packs borders and into rogue lands. It was with Cru that she had made that plunge as well, and he glowed with pride for his beloved sister as they looked out into the vast expanse of no-man lands. His tale of the crazy squirrel did much to ease her mind, to occupy her thoughts. At her giggled his grin would widen upon his maw. Even at the time he had been able to find the amusement in the state, rather then grow angry at his rude awakening. Of course, he had struggled for a moment to understand what had been going on, but the squirrel had made itself known to him fairly quickly after awakening.

They had continued to walk after taking the plunge into rogue lands, for he dared not stop and give her another chance to reconsider what she was doing and where she was going. She would speak about his tale and he would grin at her, his eyes barely moving from her form but to ensure he wasn't about to step into a tree. She seemed to be enjoying herself, finding a piece of happiness out here in the Rogue lands. ?Yeah, he pretty much left us alone. Maybe he didn't want to end up like the rabbits? he laughed softly, although somehow he didn't think he would have eaten a creature with such a strong personality. ?We haven't gone that far yet Twig, just bear with. Its mostly just a walk through Rogue lands rather then a real set destination. Is there anything you would like to see? and I still have a few tales left to tell? he would laugh. In a quest to keep her mind occupied he began to tell her of his life in Valhalla. of his time stuck in a cave as it poured waterfalls outside and how it was here he meet Odette, a wolf that was actually of the Valhalla pack and in fact knew Twig by name. He told her of his meeting with Day, a sweet young wolf who just found love. and well Cru made all the 'eck' remarks expected of him when it came to love, his recollection of Day was said with a sweet remembrance.

He would keep by her side loyally, their steps in sync as the strolled through the outside lands around Valhalla. She was blossoming again, it was very much apparent that forcing her from the shell she had created would do her much good. Still she could feel herself wishing Fern was with them, but with Crucifix's stories of adventure the sadness would be put at bay. She would enjoy their walk, being able to giggle and talk with her brother would bring joy to her soul. Her broken heart would swell at his stories and her confidence would build with every step they took. Crucifix would help with her cure, just as Alpine was doing within the pack.?

There was one thing on her mind, and it would worry her more than most things that day. She knew soon Erani would call her forth for her attackers trial. She knew she wouldn't be able to get through with out all of her brothers by her side. She would regret that many of them had not been found yet, but she knew Cru must be there. If only she could find Pulsus and tell him too. "Cru, I need you to do something for me. When you hear Erani's call for the pack I need you to come. I know she's planning its trial soon, and you need to be there." she would nuzzle her head into his neck, hoping he would agree to come even though his wishes had not been granted by Erani or their brother.?

His stories would full the world before them, and the sound of his sisters laughter was the sweetest thing he had ever heard. He could see the straightening of her stride, a gaining confidence in her step and eagerly he went on with his stories. Of chasing the falling sun, or all and anything he could think of that she might enjoy from his time in the wilds. They would walk the length of Valhalla on the outskirts of her territory. He wasn't going to push his sister, for the time being her acceptance and her interest was more than he could have hoped for. No, never again would he allow anything bad to happen to her, he would kill any who dared try.

There would be something else on her mind, and she would speak it now. His stories had finished, and it seemed she had sensed that had waited for this moment to speak her mind. She reminded him of the trial, and he would discover that his anger was still fresh, seething beneath the surface. Yes, he longed to taste his blood and death, of course he would be there, and nothing in the world could keep him from it. ?I will listen, and I will come. I swear upon my life, my Twig, you will not face it alone? he said softly to her, as they completed their circlet and ended up where they had begun. He was astounding with how much time had passed, and the amount that he had told his sister. He revealed in the feeling of her knowing so much more about what had happened to him, but realized also that he had heard little in return of her life within the pack. ?Any pack life stories my dear that you would share?? he asked her gently.
