A spark to the fire

Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
As soon as she heard the new panic seized her body. She had turned to find Cru and Twig weren't there. Where were they? Jinxx said Twig was at least in Valhalla. Cru she had last seen at the lake. She was of no use in Valhalla with her lack of knowledge. She had requested permission from Erani to go find her siblings, to warn them. But she also had the task of warning the packs around Ala too. It was scary, doing this but if it was the least she could do to help, she'd do it. She ran almost blindly, tail streaming out behind her, slender legs a blur, ears pinned to her skull. She didn't know why but something said to go this way, run here. She followed her instinct and just ran. She cared not for food, rest or water. This was of high importance. She dearly wished to see Cru, to hide in her brother's shoulder and scream. The horror of seeing Jinxx so ill, body shaking, blood tearing down his face. She had held it together at that time but now away from Valhalla she was scared to death.
For all she knew Jinxx was dying and that had been the last time she would see him alive, She hoped not, prayed not. Paws skidded to a sliding halt just inches from a pack boarder. Panting she stood there till she caught her breath. Head toss back to let for a urgent call to the Alpha, Healer, and even Cru if he was here just by chance. Body shook with visible fear, ice blue eyes were wide, head lowered. She stood there nervously waiting, hoping.

The world of Covari had fallen silent, and her days spent in her den rummaging through her assorted herbs had blocked her from the happenings of the world. Since her visitation with Othello and the news that she was pregnant ? and the herbs she had given the other to mellow out her emotions... Well, Orchid had been high. She and Othello had spent the day together munching on herbs and losing themselves to its mellowing effect. She had continued on with this, enjoying the feeling of it and spending her days in a whirlwind of dreams and laughter. When at last it had all stopped and she found herself back in reality she had missed the start of the terror happening in the world beyond.
When a call from a stranger rang out, summoning the Alpha and healers alike she would tilt her head in surprise. Uncertain of the emergency she rolled up a leaf of different herbs and carefully twirled it into the thick fur just below her neck. With that done she would jog towards the call, surprised again to find it was at the border. She tossed away her hesitancy, she wasn't here as Orchid, sister of Scorpion ? she was here as healer.
She stopped before the white girl, tilting her head and once more pushing through her naturally shy nature ? becoming a healer had been nothing but good for her, allowed her to be someone else and approach what she might not have before. ?You called for a healer, do you need assistance?? she asked in a soft tone, her head still tilted. This girl was not Covari.. that means she did not have to offer her assistance if she decided it wasn't worth her time.

The woman began by saying what she knew of the disease and Vi would sigh, closing her eyes for a moment and thinking. She knew more about this disease then the woman did, but she was from Valhalla? Did she really want to share? For a moment she battled with the indecision before brushing it off. "I'm covered in their blood and I'm fine. Its been about a week since first contact. As far as I can tell? Its not contagious from wolf to wolf?" She murmured softly. She should contribute something right? But then as Vi's words settled in on the girl she started crying and Vi sighed, she didn't deal with crying emotional girls well. Angel passed along a message and Vi tipped her head slowly. "I'll pass along the message. He won't die. Once he is well you and your family will be welcome within our boarders whenever you would like to visit? But yes? I will tell him." Still her tone was clipped and a bit harsh but there was a promise there. There was a promise in her tone as she said that Cru wouldn't die. She wouldn't let him die. Lantern gaze would flitter to Orchid as the younger girl asked Angel if she wanted some herbs to calm down. At this? She couldn't help but chuckle lightly. She really was an interesting girl.
