Soliloquy was now settling somewhat into this new pack, though of course truthfully the young Destruction still longed for a higher rank one hopefully that would bring him equal to his brother. He was used to being the lowest, he was only a yearling and had grown up a commoner in Uroril, hardly something that the wolves there would really admire. He'd never had the chance to prove himself too young and with blood supposedly lacking the power, now though he not only hoped for the opportunity, he craved it. He had been moulded in his brother's image, expected to grow to impressive heights he just needed the opportunity to prove it, that silly test of Scorpion's certainly hadn't proven anything.

Despite that desire however, there was no way he was going to remain cooped up constantly. For starters there were other members of the Destruction family that were just waiting to be found. Amongst them were his elder siblings but there was a whole range of other family he'd never even heard about, he may have had no idea what to expect from them, but he was most certainly intrigued none the less. Additionally surely recruiting others for Covari, Destruction or not, was a step in the right direction, one that would bring recognition through spreading the word about this pack. It was after all how he'd joined in the first place, through his brother's word. Without it he'd still be aimlessly wandering the lands of Alacritia.

So perhaps the reasons were only an excuse, one to make him look better. Deep down, pack member or not he didn't need a reason to take a walk where ever he pleased. He was doing no harm, breaking no laws and so there surely couldn't be any problem at all with him exploring the local lands around his pack and so Soliloquy had now found himself in the Fern Gully, from the scent a piece of land that had once belonged to the very same pack that had staked a claim in the Range before Viridiana had come along.

Senka had found the lands of Alacritia to be to her liking thus far. They fit her faint memories of her time before Ignis well enough, though there was much more space than she remembered there being before this. Probably because before she'd come back, she'd been a pup who was limited by her size to exploring only the lands closest to her home. However, age had granted Senka a lot of things, not the least of which being perspective. Senka now understood how large Alacritia was, and also how difficult that would make locating her mother to be, in the long run. She had chosen to leave Ignis to search her mother out, however, and Senka wasn't going to simply abandon the search because these lands were more expansive than they'd seemed to her as a pup.

When the scent of another reached her nostrils, Senka hesitated for a moment, considering simply heading in another direction and avoiding the strange wolf. However, there would be no point in that - Senka suspected that in her introspection, some sign of her presence had already reached the other wolf. If they wished to find her, they would be able to with ease. With that in mind, Senka strode carefully forward, muted purple gaze surveying the wolf that had interrupted her silent exploration.

Ears pricked casually in the male's direction, Senka's eyes took in his body language, seeking any particular cues for this social situation. For the moment, she decided to play it safe, letting a simple "Hello there," roll off her tongue. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary, and until Senka had a feel for the situation and wolf before her, she would tread carefully to ensure that she said nothing that would not be able to fit should she change her behavior later.

Truthfully though he had excuses planned out, the young Destruction really had no idea what he actually planned on doing now he was out of the pack lands. There was no real aim beyond this ridiculous wandering and in some ways it only irritated Soliloquy. It didn't help that even inside the Covari territory he'd be lying if he said he didn't feel somewhat lost, perhaps it was having so few of his family around him or perhaps it was truly that he had yet to settle in, not having had that head start to get to know the Queens that Scorpion had evidently had.

It was peaceful now, quiet though Soliloquy had sought to exit the lands for a while, he now found that he wasn't all that certain he found the isolation pleasant. He'd had plenty of time to be alone during his travel to find his brother after all, he'd barely spoken to another on that journey and those he had met had been pathetic conversations, he cared not to recall the names now and certainly hoped that they had done the same. Now despite his odd state of mind at the present, he longed for something to do, for some sort of distraction from his otherwise mundane life at the moment.

The distraction would come in the form of another wolf it seemed. Ears would twitch slightly as he heard something and nose would lift to scent the air, confirming that he was no longer alone. Yellow eyes narrowed slightly as they scanned the area around him though before he could demand for the other to show herself, the grey coloured girl would step out and greet him. Well that was a better turn of events, glad that she hadn't attempted to hide and had made this easier, whatever the meeting would turn out to be. "Hello." He greeted her in response, gaze now focussed upon her as he too attempted to get a better sense of the other.

The male was an interesting adorned creature, Senka had to give him that. She twitched her ears, pricking them attentively in the male's direction as he returned her greeting with an equally reserved one of his own. This didn't give her much to go off, Senka thought with a vague sense of irritation. Though the irritation passed as swift as it appeared, she still dwelled on the same thought. Testing the waters was difficult when the other wolf seemed just as unwilling to make a few ripples.

Metaphors definitely weren't Senka's strong suit, were they? But she remained quiet for a moment, debating her next move internally. Should she continue the conversation, or simply wait? Or even just continue on her way. The latter option seemed distasteful to Senka, but she wasn't sure what else to say. Senka didn't exactly feel obligated to say anything else, and carrying a conversation was difficult when she had nothing else to say. Hmm.

With an internal shrug, Senka turned her purple gaze towards the other, "Nice place, huh?" Not much else to say, but it was true. This was a decent place to spend time, if she was going to end up anywhere while looking for her mother. But Senka remained hesitant to bring up Cataleya - she had no idea if this male had even heard of her, and until she had a better feel for his overall personality, she wasn't going to bring up anything potentially touchy. Her mother had never been the nicest of wolves to those who offended her, and there was always the possibility that he had ties to someone that hadn't gotten along well with Cataleya. Ah well. She would simply have to wait and see. After all, it wasn't like she was going anywhere any time soon.

Soliloquy's markings weren't exactly that interesting in his own opinion, he was almost entirely a solid white after all, the brown mostly following the shape of his eyes it wasn't exactly the most eye-catching design. The female before him however certainly seemed a little more striking, the pattern of dots on either side of her face certainly standing out against the dark backdrop that surrounded them, not to mention her overall appearance was in fact rather attractive. But he was handsome too, maybe not unique but he certainly wasn't about to diminish his appearance because of it.

Neither really gave the other much to say it seemed, if he had his brother's charm Soliloquy perhaps would have been swift to begin flirting with the other even though at this stage that he couldn't be certain that she would in fact respond to it. Instead Soliloquy remained as quiet as she, yellow eyes simply roaming over her figure awaiting her next words as he settled himself on the spot. Would the conversation go far? He couldn't tell but he was in no hurry to get away.

She would speak again, venturing forth with small talk as she commented upon the landscape around them. Soliloquy hadn't explored it too much though it seemed as good a place as any he supposed. Now how would his brother respond to such a statement? The focus ought to be shifted back to the lady rather than the scenery. "Perhaps, though I find the company may be more pleasing" His brother could have said it better, the attempt wasn't too bad at all for Soliloquy however.

Senka had to bite her tongue on a laugh, keeping her features smooth when the male's flirtatious words rolled off his tongue. She wasn't very used to wolves flirting with her, being only a yearling and having spent most of her life alone. But Senka suspected that even if she had stayed with her family that wolves would not have been tripping over their paws to spend time with her. She simply didn't care enough about romance (or anything, to be fair) for that to be a driving force in her life.

So she might have been a bit out of her depth, but Senka had faith in her abilities. She could adapt to this, the first solid bit of personality that she had picked up on from the male. But what was the best way to do that? Senka mulled it over for a moment, ears pricked towards the male in case he should say anything else. If she chose to flirt back, it could perhaps persuade the male to make unwanted advances - but then again, Senka had been trained by the best. She was sure she could handle this strange male. And there were plenty of avenues for escape, which made Senka feel more comfortable in this scenario.

Her decision making had taken long enough that there was an obvious pause before she responded to the male, confident words escaping her maw. "Why thank you," Senka began, controlled amusement tinging her voice, "Though I'm sure that it's actually your presence putting the place to shame." Ah crap, Senka had no idea if she was doing this properly. Instead of continuing, she hesitated for a moment, this time focusing all of her attention on the male to judge his response to her words - and to see how to proceed.

Though she now understood what to do with this male, it was the how that Senka was unsure on. A learning experience, to be sure. Though Senka wasn't sure this would be something she'd ever have to use again.

It was fortunate that Senka had held her laughter, Soliloquy probably wouldn't have taken it all that well. Still on a learning curve, it likely would have seemed to the young man that she had been laughing directly at him rather than the idea of her being flirted with. A knock to his confidence probably wouldn't have seemed so bad to others, though he certainly didn't want to be mocked in any manner and who knew what the retaliation may have been, certainly far less charming that his current conversation attempts.

Romance wasn't exactly what the boy was after per-say. He was a Casanova-in-training after all and certainly did not wished to be tied down to one woman. Scorpion wasn't exactly the greatest role model for many things to the lighter aligned but it was a little too late for anyone to try and tell that to Soliloquy. To grow up like his brother had been a goal of his throughout his childhood and something that still wasn't fading away now.

He stood in silence, assuming he had obviously said something wrong, Scorpion constantly had these women just falling at his feet with seemingly such little effort this one however hadn't said a thing. Perhaps it wasn't his fault at all, though there would be a little bit of self-doubt as he awaited her to say or do something. Fortunately the silence would eventually break with some seemingly positive results for the young Destruction and the small grin that crossed his features simply couldn't be helped.

"Perhaps we should simply agree that together this Valley simply doesn't stand a chance with the two of us here together." He commented, certainly not about to deny his own looks. But wait, would she think to leave at that comment, they were spoiling the landscape so ought to part. That was most definitely not what he wanted. "Though I think maybe it could be that our presence that has even given the lands its beauty in the first place." He swiftly recovered, though words spoken rather smoothly still that his mistake was fortunately not noticeable. Still though he would wonder how on earth Scorpion found this charming stuff so easy?

Senka twitched her ears, amusement her first reaction to the male's comment. She wagged her tail lazily, a controlled smile crossing her features. She almost managed to look flattered, with her tail wagging and her smile, but Senka really was hardly reacting to this male's words. Which wasn't his fault, really, considering how numb Senka was to the world. "I do agree with that," Senka mused, pricking her ears attentively towards the other. Her gaze locked on the white male as if he were the only thing of note in the area, though surely there were more interesting things to be found.

The male's words continued to fall from his maw as if he didn't have to put any thought into them. There was no audible hesitation, though Senka had to wonder. "We do seem to have that affect," Senka began casually, thinking wildly even as she spoke. She didn't want to be the one who looked obviously out of her league when it came to flowery comments and praise, which meant that she had to reply swiftly, but eloquently. "We could outshine the sun." Senka really had no idea what she was doing, but she was feeling it out as well as she could.

Flirting had never been something that she had been taught before, not like fighting and hunting had been. Ignis had never trained her in the art of seduction, and neither had her mother. What was one supposed to do? Ah well. The male lead the way well enough, and Senka was content to follow along, allowing him to shape the conversation as he saw fit. She was a chameleon - she could handle whatever he threw at her. And all the while, as she thought, Senka's gaze remained transfixed on the white male before her.

They were certainly quite the awkward pair neither really knowing quite what they were actually doing in this strange circumstance they'd found themselves in. Soliloquy tried his best to be smooth and apparently it was working, he could see no flaw either in Senka's delivery though it seemed apparently they were really as lost as each other in this game. Whilst Scorpion had moulded the boy in his image in many ways, flirting was something that had been failed to address. Perhaps he hadn't simply wanted the competition in that particular area.

She would reply once more in a suitable manner though Soliloquy now suddenly found himself unsure on what to say next other than an agreement maybe with her words, though that would be simply agreeing with what he'd already said anyway? Once more he despised how easy Scorpion had always made this look and though he found himself currently after his brother's advice was rather doubtful that he'd actually go begging for it. It seemed he'd just have to struggle on alone.

Her name! He didn't actually have know her name and neither did she his. They had completely failed to introduce themselves. "Yes." He agreed simply with her words, there had been a slight delay once more but hopefully not too noticeable. "What is the name of my little ray of light." Pet names, he'd certainly noticed his brother using those and his choice of words was a nice little nod towards her sun comment as well, or so he hoped anyway.

you'll run for cover

{but you can't escape the second attack}

Though his compliments were flowery and eloquent, Senka didn't feel particularly moved by them. They were both playing a game, and while each half knew only their thoughts, they were both a little out of their league, it seemed. Senka was as cautious as ever, still feeling out the waters of this type of conversation. Flirtation would never come naturally to the gray and white female, she was confident of that much at least. "Senka. Just Senka," Hmm. Ray of light, huh? It was an interesting nickname, though Senka didn't particularly mind it. Still, now that he knew her name, she rather hoped he'd use it.

And oh crap, there was something that she needed to say too, wasn't there? Curses, this would never come naturally to her. "And yours, handsome stranger?" Senka questioned easily, tone warm as she addressed the other wolf. She was curious about the identity of the stranger that she had so awkwardly flirted with. Perhaps this would serve her well to have experience with, however. That was the only thought that kept Senka even trying to stay afloat in this foreign experience. She was struggling, but she felt like she was getting a better grasp on it - or at least, she thought so.

There seemed little else to say while Senka waited for the stranger's reply, and so she remained silent, not sullying the peace with wasteful words.

Moved or not the fact that she thought his words were eloquent would have been enough to boost the young Destruction's confidence in this game. Right now it was all simply a struggle, so much effort that Soliloquy couldn't help but wonder for a moment if it was truly worth such hard work. She at least seemed to be willing to play the game, a fact he would take some comfort in but it wasn't quite enough really. Surely though things could only get better from here, more experience and practice and soon he would hopefully be able to charm as effortlessly as his brother. He decided already that he wouldn't dare mention his current difficulties, perhaps as right now a part of him certainly hoped that Scorpion had also once struggled just as much with the art of seduction.

Senka. It was a rather pretty name he thought, certainly more so than others he had met, some of his own family included. What he found most interesting though was that she apparently held no family name. It certainly wasn't the first case he had come across of a person lacking a last name, there had been numerous wolves like that in Uroril after all, his own mother included. Soliloquy was a wolf that was certainly proud of his own heritage despite the fact that the name certainly hadn't held much power back in Uroril and didn't seem to particularly matter here. It mattered to the white male though regardless of the thoughts from the rest of the world or even from his family itself. Not all were alike it seemed, and he hadn't even met his cousins yet.

"A lovely name, Senka." He spoke first of all in compliment still repeating the name for himself as well. "I am Soliloquy Destruction." He answered, proudly giving her his own name though he had to admit he rather liked 'handsome stranger' as well.
