He had the most beautiful girl in the world at his side, and he felt like there was nothing in the world he could not do. With the slate tones that slid shimmers of dark shades down her legs and spine, coupled with the creamy white of her body and the spark markings that add a touch of beauty to already gorgeous features. Trailing behind the love of his life would be silky strands of a multicolored tail, which his own long appendage would wrap about as they stepped onto the island they were to call home.



They had left Valhalla?s outskirts some point through early afternoon and his first sight of the island had been beneath the overhanging shine of the sun, the last traces of its lights as it began to dip for the evening. The sun was alight in the golden shine of the dying sun and the beach was alight and alive with the colors. He loved it from the first moment he saw it and a little flutter began in his chest. He turned his head to nudge into his mates cheek and look into the beauty of her violet eyes, to see her own reaction to this wonder. ?We should probably find a den for the night? but I have an urge to stay here for a while? he murmured, looking into the cool blues of the sparkling water with a wistful twinge. It looked warm and welcoming and utterly perfect ? and his deep love for water was pushing through ? the same love that had once made him easy to find by the bank of Wolfpaw lake.

Their journey would be filled with melancholy, Twig felt happiness again. Her emotions had been so frazzled, her heart so utterly defeated she would cling to Alpine's presence. She could live while beside him, breath wasn't hard to come by and her eyes were not perpetually filled with tears. Her thoughts were on the future during their walk, hope fluttered in her chest. A gentle smile played on her lips during the journey, as her slate covered paws touched the virgin sand Alpine's tail would wrap around her luxurious curls. Her gaze would reach up, seeking out his vibrant blue eyes as a pearly smile lit up her features. The pair would continue onto the beach, the sun's fading light casting brilliant colors onto the sky and the waters before them. She would feel Alpine's gentle nudge, her thoughts focusing on him and their new home. An island, all to themselves. She could feel herself swooning at the thought of it as she placed a kiss on his alabaster muzzle. ?We should probably find a den for the night? but I have an urge to stay here for a while? His advice was sound, and she found herself not able to agree more. "We could sleep on the beach, under the stars." she would suggest softly, her weight leaned into his side. A soft sigh would flow from marked lips as the girl looked out over the turbulent waters. Two toned tail would flick gently at her mate's hocks, "The water looks warm, this far west... I bet we could swim." her words were still quiet as her delicate lips slipped to his ears, her tone mischievous. -

They would take in the breathtaking view together, watching the lights that danced patterns against rolling blue waves and took in breath of the salty tinged air that tasted of paradise and freedom. They took it in together and found their hearts and minds where in perfect sinc. She would lean into him, her body heat tingling his side with its touch and he was so utterly aware of her beside him. Her suggestion was so completely appealing that he could not imagine doing it another way and a crocked smile would touch his lips as he gently nudged against her. ?Sounds... perfect? he agreed and his heart only swelled a little more for love of the days to come. She would speak again and he would almost melt to the warm and mischief beneath her tones ? she too sounded utterly content with their lot, like they wanted nothing more in the world then this moment. He let out a soft sigh himself, stretching out his limbs and turning a slow grin to her. ?Alright... race you!? he cried and lunged forward with a push from his hind legs, leaping forward, utterly free and with the energy of a pup as he let loose and his paws hit the shallow end of the water and a salty spray would whoosh up around him, a light in golds against his silver coat and blue eyes would turn even as he ran into the waves, turn to watch her to see if she had followed. The scene before the couple was gorgeous, the sun would set on their first day in paradise. The salty wind would tousle their mingling fur. Twig felt herself so near to Alpine, like her own heart and his were fully one. His warmth would spread to her in the cooling air. Winter had obviously taken its hold on the lands around them, but here on this island she felt completely comfortable. There was no one for miles, the weather was warm, and their environment perfect. She felt almost as perfect as when she and Alpine had officially become mates. She would watch as the corner of his lip turned into a smile his words eagerly agreeing with her, ?Sounds... perfect? she would smile shyly, going on to tell him about the water. Briefly she would remember swimming with him in Wolfpaw Lake. Also when he had become incredibly sick after an especially cold swim. Alpine would sigh contentedly, his limbs being pushed out before him as he stretched after their journey. Slowly he would turn to her, returning the mischief in her eye, ?Alright... race you!? his voice would raise in intensity as paws pushed beneath him, his form would sprint towards the ocean. She would giggle, her own limbs following him more slowly. Vibrant violet gaze would watch as the light refracting water would spray up around the man. As he turned her slate covered paws would join him in the shallow water. She still felt rather weak compared to the wolf she was half a year ago, her movements would not be as boisterous as she would have liked. Delicate form would draw near once again to the alabaster wolf, Twig's chest aiming for his own. She would take in his sweet scent as the waves moved against her elegant limbs, a deep sigh emanating from her marked lips. Blissfully her eyes would roll back as she slipped her head around his neck, wanting nothing more than to feel him all over her. "...I love you, Alpine." she would whisper to him as she enjoyed the gorgeous scene and his close proximity. She couldn't help but enjoy her time with just the two of them. She wouldn't think about her brother, or the pack they'd left behind. She just wanted to immerse herself in the wolf she called her other half. ~Twig~

The water pulled gentle tugs against his curls, and despite the lateness of the day held an oddly tropical warmth to its depths that made its touch a pleasant one. His form was dancing to the beat of the waves, moving out until his thighs where soaked before stopping and waiting for Twig. She seemed as carefree as he was and the sight of that smile on her face brought flutter of warmth to his chest. His Twig, she was here, happy and free for the first time in the entire time he had known her.



She was beside him in a moment, welcoming the waves about her as easily as he had, and it was hard not to just close his eyes and lift he head to the wind and welcome the scent of the sea, scents that had always freed a piece of him. Instead he turned his head to his love and allowed that smile to encase his lips as she embraced him. As her chest came against his own a tug of the tide would push him further against and a soft laugh would escape his lips as he agreed with all that nature had implied and pulled her closer to him.



?And I love you? his voice was warm and husky as he pulled her even closer, a laugh whistling between his lips as he buried his face in her neck, enjoying the soft warmth of the waves and the last traces of the sun and had no doubt that he would love each and ever second he spent with her here.

Her paws would meet the warmed water and a sigh would leave her lips as she took in the perfection of their retreat. She could feel the sand beneath her toes and the gentle breeze on her face, and the completeness Alpine would cause to her heart. She felt a freedom she'd never before felt. Before this she was held within the grasp of her family, and after that in the tight grip of fear and darkness. But here and now on the beach with Alpine she could let her spirit fly free. She didn't have to care about anything but her mate and the tiny beings within her. She would relax and she would be stress free until her pregnancy ended. Her paws would bring her close to his side, the sea pushing them together. Her slate ears would swivel at the sound of his gentle laugh, and her own joyous bell would chime in. ?And I love you? He would pull her in tighter, surrounding her with his soft warmth and comforting love. His features would bury themselves in her plush fur as she nuzzled his neck needfully. She would giggle at his touch, her smile widening as the sun slipped over the horizon. "We're going to be parents, Alpine." She'd whisper as her emotions caught up with her. She'd feel a tear of joy well up within her eyes. She wouldn't let those dark thoughts get to her, hope would shine through. I'll Dissolve When the Rain Pours In

He could feel Twig everywhere within his embrace, feel of of her and swell with the scent and touch of his beloved. It was beautifully easy to smile, the grin to encase his lips like it was born there and would never leave him again. He was born to the waters, took to at easily as the land and had always felt at home within its embrace. There was nothing in the world that could make this moment better, it was already so perfect that his heart was swelling and burning with love inside his chest and his soft breath would be against her neck.



Her own soft giggle would sound up, so beautiful and perfect that he would sigh his pleasure into her coat. Then Twig would make the moment a thousand times better, and insanely perfect. Her soft tones would ring out between them, reminding him of her pregnancy, that he would be a father and the thought of chasing little pups along the beach, of showing them the world and of seeing both himself and Twig in their eyes only made him gasp with want to this.



A silver tear would touch her eyes and he encircled her tighter, bringing his nose to hers, before moving his lips gently to work their way across her muzzle, up her check, and catch the tear that dropped silently from her eyes with his tongue. He laughed again softly and nuzzled against her neck. ?Lets go back to shore Twig, lets sleep tonight ? theirs only uncountable more days ahead of us to enjoy each other and life and everything right in our world? he would whisper.

She would feel his sigh leak into her coat as the perfectness of being together swirled around her like magic. Her own tiny gasp would mix with his own as a tiny scene would unfold in her mind. Tiny paws leaving footprints in the sand while she and Alpine followed after her children. There were more pups growing this time, she could feel it. Only time would tell how many exactly, but still even with her still thin figure she would guess at their number. At her excited tears Alpine would soothe her, his tongue licking away her erring tear. She would smile brightly at him through reddened eyes.
