Thane had slept in this morning and had woken up to the birds cheerful singing. It was already starting to get hot but that was no worry. With a yawn the brute made his way out of the den as he stretched his legs once he was outside. Aqua blue eyes looked around as he wondered where Ookami was; either he had slept too late or she had gone up and about a bit early this morning. With that the wolf shook out his gray and black fur as he then sat on his haunches.

"Такое прекрасное утро"(What a beautiful morning) he said in his first language.

With a calm look on his face the male decided what he should do this morning. What was he to face today? what new soul would he meet? what place would he go to? so many questions raced on in his mind but this was just the morning, no need to rush.

White lined ears perked up as he listened to the songs of the birds. Where was his companion Cyril this morning? Last night the eagle had been last seen perched on the branch of the nearest tree. Cyril had probably gone on a little joy flight about the land; surely he would be back later.

Next Thane focused his aqua blue eyes on the foliage nearby, perhaps he should catch himself some breakfast. then another thought came to mind; should Ookami appear then they could both catch something to eat.

Thane began to stretch once more as he let out another yawn. There were so many things to do today, but now he wondered how he would start it off.

Ookami woke up to the rays of sun light hitting her eyes. She was usually a morning person but for some reason her head was throbbing. Ookami let out a slight moan of discomfort, her eyes were closed as she shook her head trying to get the pain to go away. What was going on, she had never had this before, this sensitivity to light. Ookami opened her eyes once more the light struck her almost like she ran in to a wall. Sitting up upon her haunches Ookami looked around for Thane. He had seem to already left and begun his duties. She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath, standing up she opened her eyes and walked out side. At first the light made her blind for a moment, until her eyes adjusted to the light. The pain in her head was a bit more intense now, but she needed to fine Thane. Ookami lowered her muzzle tot he ground and inhaled, She picked up Thane's scent right away. Slowly raising her head Ookami begun to walk in the direction Thane went. Her paws gently struck the ground as she walked, the wind was wonderful, but Ookami could not enjoy it. Her eyes scanned the land but she could not see Thane anywhere close by. thump....thump...thump...., Her head begun to throb,as she begun to find Thane. A few more miles she walked until the sight of her beloved appeared in front of her eyes."Good morning thane" She saisd in her usual happy tone. Ookami did not want Thane to worry about her head aches, so she just acted like everything was normal. Speech,

White lined ears perked up as foot-steps were heard. A ?Good morning Thane? followed in the usual cheerful voice of Ookami. A smile spread across his lips as he turned around to face her.

?Good morning to you as well; it is a beautiful morning this day, but it cannot compare to you? he said as he held a charming smile

As the brute shook out his fur once more he made his way over to her and gently nuzzled her; before pulling away to sit on his haunches. His aqua blue eyes settled on her and it looked as if something was troubling her, perhaps she was hungry as he was.

?I figured after you showed up we would catch ourselves something to eat this morning.? he proposed.

Thane?s attention turned to the scenery around them as the birds continued to sing their morning songs of joy. The cicadas were buzzing and butterflies and bees could be seen flitting from flower to flower.

This was a joyful season; never before had the brute experienced a summer this long. Never did he know of the beauty of the hot season before this. Even so, he still longed for the tundra but no matter what season or where he was, it was always better with Ookami.

The wolf sat on his haunches as he patiently awaited Ookami?s answer. Hunting would be a great thing to start out their day with.

Ookami smiled and Nuzzled Thane, she was happy that he was happy. It was a nice day but the head ache was making it not enjoyable for Ookami. She sat down upon her haunches next to Thane, she was hungry, after all she was feeding more than her self now. Ookami Closed her eyes, the throbbing pain struck her with each beat of her heart. She took in a deep breath and looked at Thane. A smile arose across her face. How did she manage to find someone like him, after she lost everything this was the best think to happen to her."I am quite hungry Thane, Why don't we go get some fish, that sounds good right?!?" She said as she stood up. She licked Thane's muzzle as she looked up to see a clear sky, some clouds resided here and there, but it was a great day for an outing. Ookami cringed a bit as the light hit her eyes, Her head filled with pain, was this a side effect of being pregnant. Ookami did not know, this was her first litter, and she hoped it would not be her last one. Her thoughts came back to reality, did Thane see that? If he did he would be so worried, she did not want that of him. Speech,

Thane?s smile never ceased as tilted his head a bit as he listened to Ookami?s reply to the suggestion. She wanted fish, he hadn?t had fish in a while. Yet fish were always fun to catch and Thane took amusement from them. With a swift nod the brute stood up as she did so herself.

?If fish is what you wish then fish shall we have? he said cheerfully.

?Let?s just hope those pesky little buggers won?t be a hassle and get away.? he added with a chuckle.

Thane licked Ookami?s muzzle in return then saw her seem to flinch at the light.

?Are you alright? I sure hope the heat from the weather isn?t getting to you. If it helps we can find a shady spot to sit where we eat our fish.? he suggested

With a motion of his tail Thane would start walking to where they would catch their fish; so that they may walk and talk on their way.

Ookami smiled at her mate. "That will be great Thane, Eating our fish under a shady tree." She smiled with delight as they walked in the direction of the river. It did not take long until they reached the river. Her stomach rumbled as she came up to the river's edge. Her eyes scanned the water for some fish. Ookami would need to catch three fish for her to get enough to feed her self and the growing babies. Her paw was lifted up over the water waiting for a fish to come. Soon one was in striking range. She swung her paw and scoped up a fish from the water. It went up and on to the land. One fish was down two to go. She looked a little bit more and in about six minutes she had caught three fish. Ookami smiled at her accomplishment and picked up the fish and moved them to the shady part of a tree. "Thane when you get your food i need to tell you something" She sid as she laid down upon the cool ground. Speech,

A swift nod was given as she agreed to his suggestion. Thane stood for a moment and watched as Ookami caught herself a fish. A small smile was given as the brute noticed she had caught three. Thane's attention was then turned back to her as she said after he had caught his food she had to tell him something. Hm with the extra fish were they to expect company?

The wolf dismissed the thought as he took a moment to catch his fish. Then just in case it was needed, he caught a second one and brought the two fish over by where Ookami was laying under the shade. Thane laid down under the shade as well but put one fish in the middle and kept one for himself.

White lined ears perked up as he was ready to listen.

"My ears are open, are we expecting company?" he said as he then took a bite of his fish to gnaw on while listening to his beloved's reply.

Watching Thane sit down next to her and star to eat his fish. Ookami took a few bites from the ones she caught then turned to look at her beloved. Earlier in the night of last, Ookami felt the small kicks of little babies inside of her. She wanted to tell thane, like just yell it out all together. She knew that she should finish eating, well like one fish and a half, before she tells him. A slight kick in her stomach made her turn her head and gently look down upon her belly, that was beginning to stretch. Ookami finished eating the fish then she smiled up at Thane. Ookami's head begun to spin, and she was caught off guard. Laying her head down she tried to stop the spinning. It slowed for a bit long enough for her to speak. Thane, last night i felt tiny kicks....We are haveing puppies" She spoke with a smile upon her maw. Ookami smiled at Thane, her smile soon faded as her eyes opened wide. The area around her begun to spin. Her head begun to pound, throbbing with pain. "Thane... I feel dizzy... Thane...." Her eyes rolled up into her head as she passed out upon the ground. Ookami did not know what was going on, she was scared, will her babies be alright? Speech,

As Thane sat eating his fish his white lined ears perked up out of curiosity as Ookami seemed a bit disturbed. The brute wondered what was wrong or if anything was wrong. His aqua blue eyes settled their gaze on they continued to eat. In mid-chew the dame lowered her head to her paws for a moment after looking at her side. Curiosity piqued Thane's mind once more as he wondered what was up. As the wolf continued to chew his food he listened to what his mate had to say. Right when Ookami said the words,"tiny kicks", and "going to have puppies" was he in mid-swallow. Thane coughed for a moment as he tried to dislodge the fish in his throat then swallowed it. After a second of recollecting himself the brute immediately stood up and swiftly but gently went and licked Ookami's muzzle as,he nuzzled her with his black tail wagging a mile a minute. "Tis great news!"he said with his voice muffled by her fur a bit but able for her to hear. As Thane withdrew himself he smiled at Ookami for he was at a loss for words. Happiness was shown on his face as his tail continued to wag. Only did his smile start to fade as Ookami said that she felt dizzy before saying his name once more then passed out. "Ookami?" he said as he nudged her face with his nose. When no answer or movement came in return Thane went into panic! His beloved was unconscious and she carried their children! Was she alright? Were their pups alright? The panic-stricken brute knew he would have to stay calm but with all of this stuff all at once he fumbled for a thought of what to do. an idea hit the wolf's mind as he thought of Loccian, Octavian's sister. Would she answer to his call? Thane rose his muzzle to the sky and bellowed out a long howl of distress for Loccian if she was near. HE did not know what to do but after that he went to Ookami's side and lay down next to her as he looked at her anxiously. Another thought came to mind as Thane howled once more but this time for Cyril; his companion could be of help as well. Whatever could help his beloved he would settle for. "Hang in there my beloved, I'll see to it that you get help." he said to her as he gently nuzzled her side. How far was help? fear and anxiety filled the male's emotions as he waited beside his mate. A small shewolf stood upon a hill, grey orbs looking up to the sky in thought. She had been acting strange the last couple of days, and it was only recently that she realized that she was in heat. How silly of her, so caught up in her herbs, helping the pack and focused on Bronze that she couldn't even feel or know the natural thing going on in her body. She felt embarrassed, ridiculous. She was happy though, even with Bronze being an older male, he did not attempt to put himself on her during this time. Maybe it was because he was older, having smelled it many times and now just not really affected by it. Or maybe he was actually a nice guy that could ignore it. Loccian would not be able to think much about the topic for a howl had broke through the land, not far from where she stood. The voice, it was familiar. It belonged to a wolf she had met a long time ago, before she had joined Seracia. Thane, the heir of the Pack of Stars back in her homeland. Yes, he had shone to not be evil or hate her and her brother Octavian for what had happened to his pack and his sister. He seemed like a good wolf, a friend, something Loccian didn't have much of. She quickly shook her head, hearing the tone of his howl, he was worried about something and even sent up another howl. She had sent her own howl as a reply, letting Thane know she was on her way immediately. Paws took off, drumming against the ground with her tail streaming behind her. Thane was worried about something and so she wanted to get there as soon as possible in case something bad had happened to him. Was he hurt? No, it didn't sound like that. Maybe somebody he knew was stuck or had a wound that needed immediate tending. Herb names and their uses flew through her mind, trying to prepare herself for the basics before she even arrived. In no time, maybe a few minutes, Loccian could see the outline of Thane's body and another jut a few yards away. Thane! She barked, slowing down as she got closer, grey orbs falling upon the female laying beside him. What is wrong? Your howl, you sounded worry. She asked, he didn't seem injured and his companion didn't seem hurt either. Actually, they both looked pretty healthy. "normal. talk. think. you."

Her eyes twitched underneath her lids as she struggled against the searing pain that resided in her head. What was happening, what was going on. One moment she was eating fish, talking to thane about their puppies, then darkness. Ookami's legs twitched as she laid there trying to wake up. A small whimper escaped her maw, her eyes twitched some more under her lids. Ookami forced her eyes open, the light that entered her eyes made her flinch. She could smell the other wolf that was not Thane. She turned to Thane's scent, she nuzzled his fur her stomach begun to turn. The noises, scents, light was killing her head, Ookami stood up her back arched and she begun to vomit up the fish she ate. Her head pounded against her skull, as her legs collapsed under her. She had no idea as to what is happening, Ookami did not know if her babies are alright. She wanted her babies to be alright. "Thane... Puppies.. Are the...Puppies....O..O..Ok" She said as she closed her eyes, The pain had knocked her out once more. What was this all about, is she alright, what was going to happen. Ookami did not know, she hoped that things will be fine, she wanted her babies to be alright. That is all that mattered to her at this point in time. Speech,

As Loccian answered his call Thane waited until she appeared. As his old friend appeared so did Cyril. The golden eagle flew from the sky and across the treetops as he let out his cry of arrival. Cyril landed upon Thane's shoulder as he looked at his master in question with those golden eyes of his.

"Master Thane is everything alright? I heard your cry for help and a cry for my own presence as well." then he looked at Ookami and saw her in her state."Is Mistress Ookami alright? is she sick?"

Then did Loccian ask what was wrong and the brute's fur bristled with anxiety, concern, and fear.

Before Thane could answer he felt Ookami nuzzle his fur and he nuzzled her back to comfort her. Then his beloved stood up and regurgitated her food. Her words were those of the puppies, would they be alright? The wolf hoped the puppies would be alright.

At the mention of puppies the eagle let out his statement.

"Puppies? Oh joy!young masters and mistresses!" he cried out until Thane glared at him with a cold aqua blue stare.

"There will be time for that later; I know you are excited as am I. But the health of Ookami and the puppies are of the utmost importance!" he said to his companion.

"Loccian, as you have heard Ookami is expecting; but earlier it seems as if she was affected y the heat or light. And now she has passed out once more after regurgitating her food. Is there anything you can do to help her? And do you think the puppies will be alright? I know this ma be a lot on you but please...she's the only family I have left at the moment besides Cyril; and she carries more." he pleaded to Loccian with concern and worry in his aqua blue eyes.

With that Thane went back to Ookami and tried to comfort her. He nuzzled her as Cyril looked over his shoulder with concern in his own eyes.

"Please help us...", he said in a soft pleading tone as he rubbed his head against his beloved's.

Loccian watched the shewolf closely as she opened her eyes, flinching from the sudden intake of light. Her body was twitching and when she had tried to stand she had threw up her meal before collapsing to the ground. Her voice echoed in the grey shewolf's ears. Thane... Puppies.. Are the...Puppies....O..O..Okay. With that her eyes closed and she seemed to be out of it, causing her to look to Thane as he nuzzled the shewolf, his mate Ookami from what Cyril had said. Finally he had turned to speak to Loccian, causing her to move close to him, perking up her ears and taking in every word he Loccian, as you have heard Ookami is expecting; but earlier it seems as if she was affected by the heat or light. And now she has passed out once more after regurgitating her food. Is there anything you can do to help her? And do you think the puppies will be alright? I know this maybe a lot on you but please... she's the only family I have left at the moment besides Cyril; and she carries more... Please help us... Immediately her mind began racing, herb names flashing before her eyes and mind working to remember the uses for those herbs and how to prepare them. This could just be her body's reaction to being pregnant, possibly for the first time, afterall they seemed to be around the same age as Loccian so this should be their first litter. After a few seconds of silence from her she finally lifted her head to Thane, a look of determination burning in her grey eyes. Don't worry Thane, I am here now and I can help Ookami. Just please try staying calm for her while I do my thing. She flashed him a gentle smile before turning to his companion. Cyril, I'm going to need your help. Thane will stay here with Ookami while we go get some herbs, we need to be fast in case this isn't a normal reaction to her pregnancy. Just follow me and do as I say. With that the shewolf bounded away from the wolves, paws moving quickly in her search for herbs. "normal. i talk. i think. you talk."

Thane stepped back as Loccian told him what was to be done. Her words reached his white lined ears as he nodded. Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm....how was he to stay calm? There was no way the brute knew what was wrong with Ookami but he wished to help her yet didn't know what to do. When Loccian said for Cyril to help collect herbs; Thane nodded at his friend. "Don't fret Master Thane; I'm sure Loccian will try the best she can for Mistress Ookami." he said as the eagle rubbed his head against his master's neck. It had been a while since Cyril had touched Thane in such a way. With that came a small smile as a few memories resurfaced. When there were blizzards and the two would huddle together in the big den with everyone. All Thane remembered really were his friend's soft feathers of a fledgeling. Then again his own puppy fur was still showing back then. Then the golden eagle spread his wings and flew after Loccian, gliding in the air above her. With a shake of his head the male ceased all thoughts. No, there would be time for that later. But for now he had to stay here with Ookami and make sure she would be alright. Thane nuzzled the top of her head as he laid down beside her once more, but curled himself around her almost but as best he could. He would protect her and his growing pups; for now his aqua blue gaze lay fixated on her waiting for a stir or movement. "It is alright my beloved; I am here and shall always be." he said softly. Hopefully Loccian and Cyril would be back soon... Speech, Thane Speech,Cyril

As fast as she could go the small shewolf glided through the land, stopping here and there to sniff and inspect a plant before running off to another cluster. When she finally found what she needed her mouth carried them in a bundle of leaves and also wrapped some for Cyril so it was easier for him to carry. She even collected some moss and soaked it in water. This all took no longer than a few minutes and off they were again towards the two wolves. Paws drummed as she approached them, stopping a few feet from them and setting her leaf bundles down. Thank you Cyril, you can drop them here and that will be all. She thanked him with a nod and smile before going to work, chomping on some leaves and organizing the herbs for which ones she would give the shewolf first. "normal. talk. think. you."

The twitch of her tail indicated her waking up some more. Her eyes struggled behing her lids to break free of the trap that her mind contains. Her ears twitched as she opened her eyes to see Loccian standing before her with some herbs. OF what she did not know. Her eyes landed upon Thane who she knew was at her side the entire time. Her head pounded with pain as she looked back to Loccian. Ookami wanted to speak but her throat was dry and it seemed that every time she tried to speak she chocked on her own words. Ookami's legs felt like jello and she knew if she tried to stand she would come crashing to the ground. Letting out a sigh she bared her teeth.Everything begun to blur abit. "Thane....My vision is a bit blurry." She spoke. Ookami knew that Loccian was there to help her, but she did not know the other she wolf, so all her responses seemed to be addressed to Thane. Speech,

The brute was terribly confused and in panic on the inside which could be shown by his white lined ears that were twitching. Ah, the twitch why did they always have to twitch. No matters this dilemma had to be dealt with. But how could it be fixed? Of course Loccian was here to help. His black tail wagged a mile a minute still with all of these emotions.

It had been a while since the brute had seen the sister of his so called rival; but in the long run they weren't even on opposing sides at all, only their fathers were. Strange how both sides of a rivalry can come together as they were before...yet only referring to Thane and Loccian and Octavian. Their pack was still somewhere while his was in another word extinct.

Cyril then flew in with Loccian and obeyed her commands. After laying down the herbs where Loccian had said to do so, the eagle returned to the perch of his masters shoulder.

A small nod of thanks was given to Cyril from Thane; whatever help was given he was grateful for.

Then Ookami seemed to ope her eyes again then attempt to speak. She choked on them but Thane gave a gentle "Shhhh". He didn't want her to stress herself any more.

"If you can't speak it is alright; don't stress yourself any more. This is Loccian, an old friend of mine. She'll do her best to make sure that you are well. " he said with a nuzzle to the top of her head.

Then Ookami said that her vision was a bit blurry...was it from her sudden collapse? the heat? He did not know but aqua blue eyes turned to Loccian. His eyes seemed to be pleading still yet the dame seemed to have everything in control so far...

The brute wondered where her brother was. He hadn't seen or scented the kind wolf since their first meet.

Thane figured he would ask after Loccian was done wit whatever she was doing and everything was alright with Ookami.

She tried to work quickly, crushing the herbs with a rock until they were the right texture before mixing with another herb. Every couple seconds she would glance over at the shewolf, seeing if she opened her eyes. After a few moment she finally did open them, a smile on Loccian's face. It was good to see she was up now, it would make giving her the herbs much easier. She just hoped she would be able to keep it down long enough for them to take affect. Thane... My vision is a bit blurry. That was a bit worrisome but the grey shewolf was lucky, one of the herbs she had collected would help with the blurriness. She would have spoken to the shewolf but Thane took care of that, trying to get her to stay relaxed and explaining to her who Loccian was. That was good, it would ease er some to at least know who this stranger was. She caught his eyes though, not wanting to worry him further she gave a small nod of her head, letting him know she would be fine and to let the healer do her thing. Once she was finished Loccian dabbed some moss into the crushed herbs, already soaked with water from when she went to get herbs with Cyril. She made sure to rub it all in, trying to get as much as she could before turning to the shewolf, Ookami. Ookami, I need you to drink as much of this as possible. It will help you feel better. She spoke gently, stepping close to her and keeping her head down to meet her eyes. Everything about the healer showed she was here to help her out. ooc: We could say this is a few days before Octavian's death. "normal. talk. think. you."

Ookami looked at Thane then back at Loccian. She spoke about her drinking something that will help her. Ookami looked at Thane then back at the liquid thing. She lowered her maw and begun to drink all of the medicine that was given to her. The liquid went down heavily, and she struggled to swallow it. She just wanted to throw it back up, but the dame knew that was not acceptable. It took a few minuted of her struggling to keep it down but she finally managed to do that. She looked at Loccian and smiled."Thank you Loccian for helping me. " A small move came from her stomach, She counted one, two, three, Three movements that was good in her mind. She turned ehr head and looked at her stomach, she gently licked it and smiled. She was glad that the babies were doing alright but how would she know. "Loccian, if you could check on the babies, i feel them moving, but i just wanna make sure they are alright." She spoke as she turned her head to look back at the female. Speech,

White lined ears perked up as the brute sat next to Ookami on his haunches. He looked on with curiosity and concern. Ookami seemed to be better now but they weren't out of the woods yet. How long would this persist and when would it return? He hoped not for it pained him to see her in such pain. Aqua blue eyes looked on as he watched her lap up the medicine. How horrid that must taste yet she managed to keep it down.

A small smile appeared on his maw, proud he was because of her. She then thanked Loccian as did Thane with a respectful nod towards the dame. Cyril who was resting on his shoulder dare not say a word. Thane let his aqua blue eyes meet his companion's golden ones. The eagle then resettled himself on his master's shoulder before looking back at Ookami in awe.

The brute knew Cy was excited as well as was he himself. Next his beloved asked Loccian if she could check on the babies. White lined ears perked up as she said that. But how would Loccian check them? Of course Thane wanted to know if they were alright as well.

The brute looked back up at Loccian with his aqua blue gaze.

"If you can or not be too much trouble, could you?"he asked.

His tail swayed back and forth as the thought remained. Were they alright? Nothing was wrong right? Could they be harmed? No, don't think just be. a small slight whimper escaped his maw of concern. His eyes widened as he realized it was somewhat audible.Oh how he was usually the one not to worry that much.

"How are you feeling Ookami?" he asked as he leaned forwards to lick her muzzle.

Thane's aqua blue eyes softened as he looked down upon her. They both had to stay strong right; he was there for support as well. Cyril then piped up as well.

"The young masters and mistresses are alright, right?" he said with his head cocked to the side.

The two sat there patiently awaiting answers but only if they could be said.
