I CAN FEEL YOUR HEARTBEAT BABY
ooc;; Keno and I have agreed that there will be no time limit to this challenge, neither of us want to default and keeping it shorter for ease of judging but not minimum Precious babe was keen and attentive now, lids fluttering as a light breeze passed against delicate features bringing with it the scent of death and decay. It had been a long time since Vi had been here, not since the siege when she had buried her nephew and it wasn't somewhere she had ever wished to return. But today the trip here was un avoidable. Not so many months ago she had promised a beautiful woman the world and she had refused, instead agreeing to be a queen if Vi gave her a throne to rule on. And a throne she would have. The world she would have if she asked it of Vi but unlike the figures of Vi's obsessions in the past this woman was not as ambitious and power hungry, not as interested in using Vi as a pawn in her schemes rather content to simply go along with whatever the red woman wanted. But none the less Vi would do anything for her purple goddess, break stone, change the course of rivers if that was her wish. And being one for theatrics and grande gestures this had been the first thing that had come to mind. Why not start a pack? Well restart one? Though Vi's heart longed to retake Tortuga she knew she would never be able to live in peace there, that the pale king would come for her especially if she extended a paw to Taurig and his family like she one day hoped to. So she had settled on Seracia, a pack she had ventured to when Desdemona had ruled Tortuga but had since heard little from. She sincerely hoped that Gerhardt was no longer the ruler for dispute her distaste for politics and political adventures she had quite enjoyed her chats with him. A slow glance would be cast around, she had left the children at home with Kylar saying she didn't want him to come and would feel better with him caring for her young as he had been a father long before she had been a mother. But in truth she had yet to tell him of his young son's demise and knew that if they came here he might ask questions she wasn't yet ready to answer. She loved her nieces and nephews. All of them, even Frictions daughter she had only every heard about in passing and his litter that might have already been born since least they spoke. Who knew how many more nieces and nephews had been born. Had Maia or Rune had children of their own yet? They were of age? Family. It had always been her whole world and would continue to be the majority of it. She was doing this for her family as well. Her love for Des had driven her but it would give her family a stability to grow and expand. And maybe she could finally set all the plans into motion she had been putting off for far too long. |

Her mind was reeling. The thought of losing Seracia was weighing even more heavily upon her now. There were wolves counting on her... she... she couldn't fail! She might not have felt she was the best alphess but she was still their Queen. She was their first and last line of defense in this manner of business.
Her lunge earned her freedom, though her opponent did not let go immediately. A good amount of flesh had flesh had been torn away, leaving an open wound where teeth once had their hold. She would land hard, moving to gain just a moment or two so she could recollect herself and try and turn things back into her favor. Destruction would buck up, her right hind paw clipping the jaw of her opponent. Perfect. She didn't have to hear the jaws snap shut to know she had made her mark. Back legs would fall to the earth and the dark woman would turn towards the smaller red woman.
It came down to this. Destruction's eye would narrow once more, ears pinning flat against her skull. Honestly, if the woman could have managed it the ears would have lowered further. This woman had done nothing against her personally, yet her challenge threatened everything she held dear. She was going to be a wall, an unwavering wall that stood for her pack. The wolves she cared for... the wolves that made up her new family. It wasn't until she had truly thought about losing that the fear of losing them... the fear of impending change rising.
Large cranium would lower as she planted herself on the ground, tucking her tail and digging her claws into the soil. Her stance was widened just enough to help her distribute her weight, shoulders rolling forward as her face twisted in a snarl of pain. That last injury was going to be an issue. She felt something stirring... raw anger mingling with fear. Back when she first lost her world she had been too young to do anything... now was her chance.
Fur, particularly on her hackles, would raise up. Her stomach tucked as well as Destruction braced herself. Her plan was to counter and overpower... she only prayed that her plan would not fail. The red woman was lowered, lunging forward at her head on. So she was using her smaller height. Destruction's own jaws would flash, aimed to slash across the damaged area of Vi's neck again. It had been the only area that was truly exposed to her in this position... and a hold wasn't her goal this time. Just to tear across the old wound as many times as possible and cause more bloodloss.
The smaller woman would plant herself on the ground, her height being her advantage here. The proximity was too close, and Destruction would bend her legs in an attempt to do a small hop back, but not before her opponent's position landed her an attack.
The jaws of the red woman would catch onto the area of her lower throat and upper chest {basically the very bottom of the throat, before the adam's apple}. Blood would drip from the puncture wounds as Destruction changed her mind about the hop back. Destruction would throw her weight forward again just as the other woman hooked her upper leg around her right foreleg and pulled. She could feel her balance shifting, but rather than panic Destruction would use this in one last attempt to get at the other woman.
Destruction would push forward with hind legs. Her front left leg would have the paw hit the ground hard as she hopped closer to the woman. She wanted her to go forward? Then, as her front paw hit the ground again Destruction would throw her weight downward. The red woman was either going to have to let go of her hold or she was going down under Destruction's front half. Every bit of her weight went into the fall, aiming to crush her opponent's head between her neck, head, and the ground.
~~~~
Attacks:: Slashing across the old neck wound first. Once Vi has her grip on Destruction's throat / upper chest Destruction throws her weight forward and, in a last little attack, is aiming to throw her upper half on top of Vi and crush her into the ground. Destruction is not putting her paws out at all. Free form front body flop.
Defenses:: Eye narrowed, ears pinned, lowered head, tucked tail, stance widened {for even weight distribution}, shoulders rolled forward, hackles raised / fur raised, firmly planted onto the ground with claws digging into the ground for added grip, stomach tucked, jaws unhinging
Injuries::
-Cut on right shoulder
-Teeth punctures on the outside half of her right front leg. A couple teeth punctuations go a bit farther though. Now also has claw damage and further beeding to this area.
-Torn ligament(s).
-Teeth puncture wounds on neck area near scruff / above shoulders. A medium-small amount of flesh is torn away from the area.
Notes:: Actually Dione you read that perfectly. ^^ I didn't want to add too must movement and whatnot into my post so Destruction merely turned to face Vi in preparation for an attack.
Also... I'm pretty sure I derped on this but... I had a ton of fun. ^^
The male walked wearily through the territory, having recently returned from his search for his mate...though she seemed to have disappeared without a trace. "Aeil, where are you?" He murmured to himself. As he trailed aimlessly across the battlefield. It wasn't long before the sounds of ferocity reached his ears, and instantly his head would pick up. He stood there, listening, wondering what was going on and who it was, though it would soon become clear that it was a growl from a familiar friend. Destruction? Paws would begin to move, faster and faster each passing second until he was in a full run, the distance to the fight becoming closer and closer. He would see several figures gathered, one familiar among them. Rohini of Seracia, an onlooker to the battle going on.
He stopped, panting heavily beside Rohini, ears tilted back as he heard murmurings and whispers. So it was a challenge for Seracia? His home? Someone had finally decided to try and disturb the peace...red orbs glanced around, where the hell was everyone else? Did nobody care about their home anymore? A growl rose within his chest, hackles rising as he barely held himself back. He didn't want to simply stand by and watch their home get stolen from them should Desctruction fail, but he had complete confidence in her. Despite her injury from the Storm, she had to prevail.
She had fallen. Dragon watched with suppressed and silent rage and horror as Destruction fell, bleeding heavily. Ears flicked to the red woman who had defeated her, though her words would pass through one ear to the other. He cared not for her, and although he had a good heart his home and all he knew was just stolen from him...he trusted Destruction, for he had learned about her and even wanted her to be the guardian of his children some day...if that day ever came. But now, Seracia was no more. He growled a response, "If you were truly going to be sorry then you would have minded your own business and destroyed someone else's life!"
He couldn't help it. Seracia had been his home for a long time, and he knew only too well the struggles Destruction had been through, for she and him were the same. Sweeping past the others, he would aid Arian in taking Destruction back home to her den...before the red woman stole it from her and drove them out. He didn't know her, though he didn't particularly care at this point. He would pull her onto his back, supporting her head between his shoulders and he would quickly and carefully make his way to her den where he would then lay her down for Arian to tend to.
