She was making decent time. Next she traveled to Tortuga, where her sister, Roman, ruled. She hadn't seen the girl in forever, she hoped that she was doing well. She knew the plague had stretched far and wide, but Covari had found the cure, and Vi was spreading the knowledge as fast as she could. Hopefully it had reached the Tortugan Queen. She would approach the border, lifting her crown and letting loose a call for her sister. Russet haunches would recline towards the earth as she settled into wait. Tattered audits swiveled, listening to the foreign sounds of the forest. She didn't typically travel this far north, but she needed to establish a standing with each of the packs. She would wait patiently, feeling much more at ease waiting for her sister than she did waiting at the borders of Glaciem. Her tail would thump idly against the earth as she waited patiently, verdant gaze sweeping over the forest and the immense trees that would tightly packed together.

Maija walked with a new determination that continued to maintain the stony mask she always wore. Her golden frame was looking better than before she had left the island. No longer was she thin and lacking the lust to her coat. Instead, she had eaten the prey that had remained around Sibelle's neck of the woods and cleaned herself up to impress. Vanity was not a big thing for her (like say, Pandora), but she did care about how she looked and felt in regards to doing so. Her defined frame, slender and toned, carried itself proudly next to Sibelle as the newly throned Queen travelled to the Red Forest.
Rumors of Isardis's daughter (one of them) lived here and with her emotions and heart guarded more than usual, Maija swallowed the heart in her throat. She didn't like being near any Armadas that were not of her alliance, with Sibelle and Falk being the exceptions. Isardis had ruined the Armada name when he had taken her husband's rights away from him. It also didn't help that he had taken her hostage when she was pregnant. Such memories were enough to make her want to slash his throat, but the image of her children seeing such acts prevented her from acting irrational.
Silently, she gave a soft look to Sibelle before the russet-furred beauty howled for Roman's presence. Her leaf green eyes, stone cold with no warmth present, turned as her head moved so she could look at the entrance of the borders. She waited to see movements through the woods, wondering what this Roman looked like. If she had the perfect resemblance to Isardis, then it would be like a ghost from her past appearing.

She was exhausted, but when the call of a familiar wolf rang across the land- she had no choice but to drag herself to her feet to answer it. Her mind was buzzing with curiosity as she approached the source of the caller. It was Sibelle, one of her many sisters. She approached rather slowly, stopping at a stream to check for any new traces of blood- thankfully, there seemed to be none. Setting off towards the source of the call, she noted a second scent as she drew closer- a wolf she didn't know. Roman would slow as she'd emerge from the trees, a slight smile on her jaws as she approached Sibelle. "It is good to see you well, Sibelle." She said, coming to a halt at the border. Smiling slightly at the strange golden wolf, she introduced herself. "I am Roman Armada, Queen of Tortuga."

Roman sat back on her haunches, relieved to be in a resting position again. The poison that wracked her body, had taken a toll on her strength, but she couldn't deny that it was a good thing to see Sibelle again. "What can I do for you?" She asked, her tone warm- clearly inviting conversation. Her tail wrapped around her body, and she fluffed her coat out- protecting her from the winter breeze. The cold seemed to bother her more, with her fever coming and going constantly.

Qanik

in defense of the innocent

With Roman down with the sickness for so long, it would take a bit of time for the pack to regain it's equilibrium, for things to return to normal once a cure was found. Qanik was trying to ease things for the sickened alpha by taking as many of her responsibilities off her hands as possible and surreptitiously guarding and caring for her.

This time it seemed Roman had beaten her here, though not by a great deal. The white alpha was wearily approaching a pair of strangers, and Qanik was quick to fall in beside her. Roman greeted one of the strangers with familiarity, seemingly having known her well. The other she introduced herself to formally, alleviating somewhat Qanik's sudden concern that she was interrupting a family reunion. The call had sounded official in nature to her, but it could just be a quirk of the family Roman had come from...

Qanik dipped her head in greeting toward each of the strangers, though not knowing their ranks or purpose she was unsure how to continue, whether to introduce herself, so she simply kept her mouth shut to bide her time, letting Roman handle it herself without interference.

Maija would rest beside her, having decided to accompanying the new Queen on most of her journeys to the packs, Pandora had gotten far too bored. It would not take long for her half sister to answer her call, greeting her warmly. The new Queen would return her sisters warm smile. She would give Maija a moment to introduce herself before speaking. Her gaze would shift briefly as a second wolf slide onto the scene silently. The Queen would take a moment to dip her head in greeting. "It's good to see you as well. But I have come because I have recently take charge of the Arcanum throne. I don't know you standing with the last Queen, but I would like to propose an alliance or sorts." She would tilt her crown slightly, curious to know what her half sister would think of the idea, they were after all family. But she knew that they hadn't been close, only recently finding each other, the woman had no reason to want to align herself with the russet Queen but there was no harm in asking.

Maija watched as Roman appeared, her designs and thick, white fur being significant differences to her father. It didn't bother Maija in the slightest, so when she introduced herself, Maija gave a curt nod and voiced her own title. "Maija Artenie, fellow member of Arcanum..." She didn't trust anyone fully right off the bat, so her status with Sibelle would not be revealed until later.
Her green eyes flashed for a fraction of a second as she watched another female approach. Their glassy gaze returned as Sibelle began to speak as well. She wanted to propose a treaty and her ears lightly perked at the words that left her sister's mouth. Maija only blinked once as she continued to listen to Sibelle speak. Ah, the sweet words of politics. How great they were to hear.

As soon as she spoke, Qanik appeared, and Roman glanced at her, nodding slightly in greeting. Her attention turned to Sibelle and the golden hued woman, who would introduce herself as Maija Artenie. Roman nodded slightly, at the name, her attention shifting to Sibelle as she began to speak. Sibelle had taken over the Arcanum throne? Roman wondered what had happened to Queen Cataleya? Had the sickness taken her? Sibelle said she wasn't sure what relationship Tortuga had held with Arcanum, and wanted to discuss an alliance of sorts. Roman knew if she had any reason to step out of an alliance, now would be her chance, but she didn't see a reason. Alliances could prove useful, should wars become a problem in the land.

As Sibelle drew quiet, Roman nodded thoughtfully, glancing at Qanik, before speaking. "Sibelle, Maija, this is Qanik- my legionary, or beta." She introduced, before going on. "Tortuga held an alliance with Arcanum under Cataleya's rule, and as we discovered the fist herbs to work on the epidemic- we sent one of our healers with the news. I see no reason why an alliance of sorts can't continue under your rule, Sibelle." Personally, she held no issue with Sibelle- though she had only recently met the woman- she shared Armada blood, and with it the ambition for a throne, that all Armada's seemed to possess.

Roman would introduce the pale woman who had arrived as her beta. Made sense, she doubted that someone random would show up. As she continued to speak, it seemed that Cataleya had already forged an alliance with Tortuga, and thankfully Roman was willing to keep the alliance. A smile would grace her features. "Excellent. Where there any specific stipulations you had agreed upon?" She didn't want to agree to this entirely without knowing exactly what the silver woman had wanted. "All I ask it that you come when we need you, and we will do the same." It seemed easy enough, but war tended to turn some off, and some wanted to keep their paws clean. But war didn't seem to be in the future, but thee was no harm in securing alliances. Verdant gaze would rest easily on Roman, a small smile remaining on her features.
