Come slinking in

The young Elysius had not felt the need to answer his sister?s call, not right away; he had known he would find his way to her side soon enough but after the sickness had taken him and confined him to a small and horrible prison both within his own mind and in the literal sense the yearling had been eager to get out and explore a bit.
Now Novocaine had made his way home. The gray and white boy stalking in the mist with great confidence, these were his lands, the mists were in his blood same as any tree or shrub that had sprouted here. With a slight flourish the boy threw his head back and released his voice in a call for his sister.
Please note: Novocaine is missing his right eye entirely, an empty socket is all that remains in its stead. Not all of his tables reflect that as of yet!

She too would materialize from the mists, her form so much more hidden within the white. There was a glimmer of affection in his eyes though he more or less kept his expression one of cocky confidence. There had been an allowance in a lapse of control during the sickness, he had forgiven himself for being so weak, so desperate for aid, but he would not allow it to happen again; if he seemed a bit overly eager to prove himself that was through no fault of his own.
His sister would welcome him, home, and a brief triumphant smile would crease the corners of his mouth before it faded. Home had never been something he had truly clung too, certainly it was the notion that had made him seek refuge in the silver bitch?s pack, but the lands he now stood upon were less about home and more about birthright. The notion of home had always seen like something for the weak, an untouchable goal that made displaced woman weep and that fools fought to their deaths for. Now that it was within his grasp however?
Artemis would brush gently against Novocain?s side and he shifted ever so slightly to press into her as she did. ?Glad to be back.? He spoke evenly, no sign of any of the sentiment he felt.

Now is his time, as much as hers. Novocaine could see himself building himself up to be something greater here, could see hard work and training pushing him towards his ultimate goal, and while he would never seek to surpass Artemis in her conquest he could see himself becoming greatest of his litter mates; they had not bled and nearly died for the right to step foot upon these lands, had not braved their own demons, had not felt their body refuse to respond to their own mind?s commands all for the sake of the forest, at least not that he was aware of.
She would finally settle, unmatched eyes watching him, Novocaine remained standing however a cocky grin once more rising upon his face as she spoke. ?I would have it no other way.? Novocaine shifted his weight, ?In fact the sooner the better.?
