Quote:" They'll try to catch us;
But they won't know how. "

Alabaster stained the smooth carved trunks of the staggering pillars about the oasis of life. Like muscle, vines and ivy coiled thickly about the smooth facets of the marble, concealing much of it's featureless surface. There were about six or eight in total, arranged in a circular pattern, beneath the inner filling yet more smooth stone, but carved with delicate patterns of a foreign language. "Le persone che una volta camminato questa terra ..." Fluent Italian lyrics would flow from silvery lips, swathed in a thick accent. Of course the moon-caressed tempest knew English as well, yet she rather spoke her nativities when alone. Amethysts gazed out across the shrine, taking note of a peculiar aura emanating from it. Beneath the surface of a shallow pool lay shimmering stone, faceted in all directions and giving the shrine a green tint when the sun shone directly above. "Malachite, forse." Such gems reminded her of the gems of her own father, his merciless fury as he slayed her mother and siblings, keeping only the finest child as his trophy, the child born from the moon. Silvery lids fell over amethysts as she would approach the temple, reclining near the center, gazing into the depths of the waters, as if something would show up suddenly.

He had never seen this place before. He wasn't really a believer in much, in terms of religious - but there was something about the air here. Something about the way that everything had died or stilled, that left him a little creeped out. Just that pin prick out of his element, his hackles were slightly raised as he narrowed his red eyes and explored the area. He was nearly halfway in when he paused, hearing a faint voice speaking in a language that he wasn't familiar with. With furrowed brows and his ears perked atop his head, the large young male would stalk forward - which wasn't saying much, being so tall meant that he was too heavy to really sneak without proper practice.

Following the voice, his gaze would fall upon the back of an ivory woman, a little thing, that was staring down at the water. She looked rather dull, not a splotch of color on her - but there was some uniqueness in her blanche pelt. "Gazing at you're reflection..." He would say, and he knew that this was the part where he should compliment what she was seeing, but he would save that bit for later. "Do you like what you see?" He was curious, was she vain? And if she would just face him, he could determine whether she was vain for a reason.

In the shallow waters flickered bits of red and black, a cardinal flying over perhaps. Yet these shapes did not form that of a bird, but of a wolf, a strange and unique beast. His hackles were raised slightly, as if he distasted the aura of this strange temple. The alabaster pillars shimmered in the light, and the malachite pool sent amethyst gaze reflections of those who stood over it. A voice would fall upon her moon-carressed ears, as one flicked to acknowledge him, amethyst gaze remaining on the waters. "Cardinal, might I ask you the same thing? Your family must be just as beautiful as you, or rather, a bit less." A bit of a devilish grin spread upon silvery lips for just a moment before she would finally turn, taking in the carmine beast's appearance, taking note of his still boyish features. "Haven't you seen anything like this before, Cardinal? Quite empyrean, don't you think?" In her speech, swathed richly in her accent, she made an emphasis on Empyrea, for that was her name, but she wasn't quite sure if the Cardinal could catch onto her playful speech. He looked a little over a year old, indeed, and he definitely hadn't had his fair share of battle yet. "Cardinal, would it be rude to ask if you may introduce yourself?"

Cardinal? Again with the bird metaphors, and each time it both irritated and flattered him. His plumage was something he adopted from his mother - who he adored, so he didn't complain about the nick name... and yet he wasn't very fond of birds. The boy would grin back at the woman though, when she complimented his family. "You have no idea." His mothers and brother were gorgeous, he had yet to find others as uniquely colored as they on this continent and figured that he wouldn't.

He would watch her, and look to the strange pool of water that she had been gazing into. It was certainly not something he had seen before... but it was a pond all the same, wasn't it? "What, you know anything special about it?" He hadn't heard the whispers or caught on to the lore, and but he wasn't the type to stick to one place for very long. "If you're talking about yourself, you're not all that interesting." The red male would shrug. "Nice eyes though." The giant could appreciate the shade if nothing else.

"I'm Vivek Sovari." He would introduce himself with a bit of pride, his tail slashing behind him as he boasted his heritage. There were those that would surely tear him down because of it - but he hadn't a clue about any of that. To him, his family was only something to be proud of, not something to hide and distance himself from for the sake of his own preservation.
