Two days into the festival was when she'd judged the spars would best serve to provide entertainment for the assembled packs, and now she stood near the shore of the lake as the sky was once more lightening, the fireflies winking out for the night as beautiful Sol rose in the sky, Skoll hard behind her as always. Dawn and dusk, the most beautiful times of the day, as the transition was made between Sol and Mani, the world in flux. A sacred, if fearful time of the day. Her call rang out over the lake, summoning those who had interest in the spars, participants and spectators alike. She would gather them here and split them into separate pairs, sharing the judging between herself and the other interested alphas before gathering them here once again to announce the new spars.
She cast an amused look toward Bass who had joined her in this. He too was not participating in the spars themselves so would judge some of the spars, and she had hopes of other high ranking pack wolves volunteering as well. It would be interesting to see the strength of each pack tested against one another in spars, but of course the fields of war brought out quite a different sort of strength than games such as these. Interesting nonetheless.
OOC: Basically just throw any wolves you wanted in the spars in here, it doesn't really matter whether they show up or not since I already OOC have the brackets made. See HERE for the first round pairs and feel free to start your spar threads as soon as you want to, but preferably within the next couple of days so we can move to the next round faster. Just use the same format I used here, nameofthread (FESTIVAL SPAR) so your opponent knows where it's at. Spars should be two rounds preferably and when the rounds are over and an official site judge has posted the results, please wait for an alpha character to post to stop the spar and announce the results. Any questions please PM Katja.
The Kaiser listened to her niece's speech. The Viking was defiantly ready to do some fights. It was exciting. A short fun spar for her and another. She was quite undefeated so far, but it could be ruined that day. Hopefully she could win, to show her worth. The fae was indeed a Queen, why should she be beat by another? Would that not be a stab to her pride? Would that not be a sign that she was so easily beat. But, the fae could not tell the future. Her broad paws hit the ground with ease as she slithered her way back to the shore. Near where she and the Adravendi femme sat and spoke. Though, her eyes were keen on her ebony kin. It was odd, being ushered by someone so young. Usually she would be the one hosting. Yet, she would go on with it due to her excitement for fighting. Sparring was a fun time that she would never give up. She would only stop fighting if she became to elder. Her paws carried her to the shore with a little grin. "I wish to enter the contest, darling." The femme paused for a moment before letting her voice slip into the air again. "I also offer my help to you if you need help judging any other events or organizing things." Svanerna Finnvi waited for a reaction, looking to the side to see who else would come her way.
During his alliance meeting with Katja she had told him of the festival and tourney she would be hosting in her lands. This to Cru, more so then the chance to show his might against those of strangers would find it as an opportunity to meet the other packs of the lands in a large show of peace. This could be a chance to finalize alliances he didn't yet have and to make friends with its wolves. He had asked Sibelle to come with him, to go in unity of leadership as the two Alpha's of Solstice. Twig he asked to stay and take over command of Solstice in their absence and knew that everything would of course be perfectly fine under her command.
He arrived in time to see the crowd forming and people calling out their agreement to be placed in the tourney. The Alpha smiled as he looked about the sea of strangers before gently nudging his way to the front of the crowd so he could be closer to Katja when he said softly. ?I, and Sibelle would happily help you in judging if you require it? he would say, having chosen this course instead of the fighting one. He hoped some of his wolves might also follow him here and enter in the tourney as warriors for Solstice.
