It had been about two or three weeks since Destruction had given birth to Dillinger. She could still remember that day, but only thanks to the gray and ivory brute who had decided to strike up a conversation with the otherwise deadly wench. Dillinger had his eyes open now and he was able to amble along behind his mother, though at a somewhat slow pace, but he was able to move nonetheless. The onyx damsel began hunting more regularly to keep up with her new feeding schedule of Dillinger, needing to keep her milk flowing for her young boy. He was a bright thing, very observant of his surroundings and he wasn?t without his temper either.

Destruction had begun to consider the fact that she was now a mother who was alone, a rogue still without the protection of a pack. She knew she could handle her own, but what if an actual pack decided to come after her and eradicate herself and Dillinger? They would have to go through her before they touched a single hair on her son?s body but she was beginning to realize that her odds alone weren?t very good. The memory of her encounter with the young, red and spotted youth flashed across her mind, his invitation taking importance in the memory. He had invited her back to his home to meet the king and queen and perhaps find a place among their ranks. Would the invitation still be valid?

She figured it was worth a shot. It had taken her some time to find the pack the boy had invited her to, Seracia as she remembered him calling it. She now sat the border of the pack?s territory, young Dillinger sitting at her side, glancing up at her in curiosity, a question falling from his lips. Mom why are we here? She glanced down at her son, an almost identical replica of herself. Because we come to join their pack Dillinger. She answered quietly before tilting her skull back to the heavens, a call erupting into the atmosphere as she requested the appearance of an alpha. After a moment she dropped her head, allowing her song to echo throughout Seracia, hopefully to reach the ears of an alpha.

A howl. They had been more frequent lately. One of the last he'd heard had brought him to Bronze, but this one was unfamiliar in its origin. Ears pricking in interest, the King of Seracia would trot forth with every bit of wonder in his mind. Who would it be this time? He'd been increasingly moody these past few weeks, but this mood happened to be a good one - and for good reason. There very well could be a new member standing at the gates of the Kingdom! Paws would carry him robotically across the territory. He'd learned nearly every inch of it, and his paws could carry him without aide of his eyes across the more familiar paths. His tail flagged out behind him, gingerly stroking the air in long, even movements. Ears flickered to and fro, honing in on the sound before it tapered away. He knew it wouldn't last long, but the echo remained as he noted where the stranger stood.

She had come in from the north, in the direction that the battlefield was located, and where many of the vagabond lands lay. Perhaps she really was here for admittance into the pack. Of course, he was automatically assuming it was a she due to the pheromones flowing on the wind toward him. The scene he came upon looked anything but female, however. She was large, impressive, and jet black in color. Her throat was stained - or perhaps naturally colored - in a deep russet. Any smart wolf might have been frightened, but the King thought no such thing. The pup beside her was testament that she wasn't a merciless killing machine. "Good day, madam. You stand at the border of Seracia, I am its King - Gerhardt Mathias." He remained standing, eyes of amethyst traveling to the youth at her side. "Good day to you as well, sir." A smile graced his features as he waited for a response.

He was much smaller than his mother, obviously since he was barely weeks old, but he was a small spitfire, his temper every bit as volitale as Destrucion's if the situation brought it out of him. Other than his nasty temper, Dillinger was a quiet thing, preferring to observe rather than participate. He liked to study things, see how they worked, find their weakness and see how he could use them to his advantage. His mind worked like a predators and the she-devil knew she was raising her son right.

The moments after her call had echoed across Seracia seemed to stretch on for an eternity. Were the alpha not in their lands today? Perhaps they were out attending business outside their territory. Destruction would wait for a little bit longer and if no one showed, then she and her son would depart, perhaps to remain as wanderers or come back another day. Fortunate for her, one of the alphas appeared to be present. It wasn't too long before a new scent, heavy with the tint of an alpha, wafted into her nostrils. It was male, so obviously the one to greet her would be the alpha male. She was glad it was the king and not the queen. She wasn't sure how she would react to the queen. It had been some time since she had conversed with another female.

The russet stained she-wolf waited patiently, her ivory, crimson ringed eyes scanning the foliage, noticing a flash of fur before the king broke through, trotting right up to them, his demeanour friendly. Dillinger frowned, looking up at his larger mother before looking back at the big man who was standing in front of them. A million questions fired off in his head but he kept quiet, waiting to see what his mother would do. The king spoke up, introducing himself as Gerhardt, the king of Seracia, extending a greeting to herself and Dillinger. Destruction dipped her head, glancing down at Dillinger as he glanced at her before looking to Gerhardt, dipping his smaller head in a mimicking gesture. My name is Destruction and this is my son Dillinger. I met your son Valkis some moons ago and he had extended an invitation into your pack. I came to see if that invitation still held true. She spoke quietly, calmly to the king as she stated her reasons for having come to his lands.

The two seemed innocent enough - though the King was old enough to know that one could not be judged by appearance alone. He'd learned that at a very young age. Still, there was a soft spot in his heart for a mother and child and the King would give them the benefit of the doubt if he could. He watched as the two exchanged a series of glances before the mother finally spoke for the pair. Her name was Destruction - well that certainly had a different ring to it - and her son's was Dillinger. She had met Valkis and he'd invited her to Seracia. The King's brow raised for a split second. Valkis had invited someone to Seracia? Who would have expected that? Gerhardt nodded when she was through, processing the information in his mind. "What - if anything - did my son tell you about our kingdom?" It would be necessary to determine just what state of mind Valkis had been in when he'd invited her home. Gerhardt was uneasy when it came to the prodigal son, and would be sure to check her out thoroughly before allowing her in. The threat the boy had made was enough to make Gerhardt second guess everything the boy did and every wolf he associated with.

The King would wait quietly, watching the she-wolf with just a bit more interest than before. She had said she'd met Valkis a while back, so perhaps she had met him before the threat was made. Still, there was the off chance that she was a hired hand, brought here to sleigh the King. Gerhardt didn't like to think in such a manner, but Valkis had very plainly stated his longing to see the monarch dead. Gerhardt wasn't about to forget that detail - even if it hadn't been substantiated yet.

There was no outward reaction to her statment of having met Valkis, but surely there was something going on beneath the surface that the king would not let on. Was it a good thing that she had met his son, or one that was surely to damn her? She didn't see the need to hide the fact that she had indeed traded words with the then suicidal youngling. Where he was now and he was doing was none of her concern. He wasn't her son. She wondered if she had crossed paths with the wrong kind of wolf. A rare thing for her, since others crossing her path was always a mistake.

Gerhardt nodded once she finished, asking what exactly Valkis had told her about Seracia. Destruction thought for a moment, trying to recollect her conversation with the spotted flanked boy. In the moment of silence Dillinger took the opportunity to examine the big man who called himself Gerhardt. He was huge. Obviously. His coat wasn't completely black like his mother's or his own, but instead a mixture of a multitude of colors, no real one sticking out at the domimant color. His eyes were weird. They were a really weird color, nothing like those of his mother or even his own. He would have to ask his mother at a later date what that color was exactly. The russet stained fatal recalled nothing of the boy speaking of his home, simplying saying that if he needed a home to follow him. She cleared her throat, leveling her gaze with the king before speaking. Valkis never mentioned anything about Seracia. At the time we crossed paths, he... She hesitated for a moment, unsure of how the king would react to knowing his son had wanted to kill himself. She pushed her hesitation aside, figuring it was better to tell the king. He was wishing to cross to the other side. To be honest, the past that I came from was one where killing was my profession. Although when I ran into your son, for some reason I found myself talking him out of it instead of complying with his wishes. Judge me as you wish, I only speak the truth. If my past dictates me unfit to be amongst your ranks I will understand. My son and I will take our leave and you shall never see us again. It has been a long time since I have been in a pack, much less since I have been in one that doesn't fuction on the sole task of killing. I come to ask for acceptance for the simple reason of my son. Though I am capable of raising him on my own, I fear that one day that won't be enough. I will not beg or plead to be admitted into your kingdom, that is solely your decision. Whatever you decide I will accept sir.

She gave a slight nod of her crown once again, gaze even with the king's purlpe one, awaiting to see what his decision would be. Dillinger glanced back at his mother before looking to the king, wondering what was going to happen now.

He wondered what Valkis might have said to her about Seracia. Certainly it was nothing good, as he felt that the prodigal son did not care much for his home. Then again, it couldn't be all bad or she wouldn't be here - would she? Perhaps he hadn't said much at all. Valkis wasn't exactly the talkative child. The later was the most likely scenario, but he couldn't rightly predict the erratic behavior of the boy who had somehow grown to hate him. She would soon confirm that Valkis had told her nothing, and would further her speech stating that he'd been in a suicidal state when she'd met him. Well, that wasn't promising at all, was it? She'd been a killer by nature, but had spared the boy for one reason or another. She'd talked him into living instead of dying. She was joining for her son, and would understand if the King denied her. But should he? He'd only just discussed with Elphaba the serious lack of judgement he had for the marred pasts of others. How could he go back on his word and deny this woman for hers?

"Your past is just that - the past. However, what you must understand, if you are to become a part of this Kingdom, is that your past cannot define you. Seracia is a peaceful pack, striving for honor, living with respect, and seeking the greater good. If you can see yourself among those morals then you are welcome to join us. If you cannot, then I must advise you not to enter into our ranks. Murder may be your past, but in Seracia it cannot be your future." The ball was in her court now. If she could find herself and her son living under Seracia's guidelines, then Gerhardt had no problem with her joining. However, if chaos and killing were still on her agenda, she had better make her way elsewhere. The King had no time for dissension in his ranks. Gaze was solid and sincere, hinting that his words were serious and important. She had better think long and hard. Tail swayed casually behind him as he switched his amethyst gaze from the woman to her son, and back again.

Joining a pack. The concept seemed odd to her now. Why now? Of all the time she'd been in Alacritis, why this specific time? The answer was sitting right beside her, a tiny furball of her mini-me. She had never been the motherly type. Ever. She'd grown up without the presence of a mother figure and look how well that had turned out. She'd been taken in by a pack of brutes who were looking to add to their ranks and happened upon the russet stained wench. Had she not been made of the flesh she was, they would have simply killed her and moved on to hopefully find others to add to their ranks. But they saw something in her, god knows what, that told them she was the right one to bring into their midst. And they hadn't been wrong. Destruction had taken to her new life like a fish to water. She excelled at killing and had quickly become the best in her pack, if it could be called that. But all good things must end. Their leader was older and age was quickly closing in on him. She hadn't been with the pack for more than a few years before their leaders expiration date caught him. And then it was chaos. No one knew what to do without their leader and long-held grudges suddenly resurfaced and it became a blood-bath, every wolf for himself. The she-wolf hadn't been as stupid as those idiots to engage in pointless fighting and risk injuring herself. She'd gone, never to see them again. And now she was here, with a child, asking to be part of a real pack for once in her life.

The King's voice broke her from her thoughts as he spoke, saying how Seracia was a peaceful pack and that her past had to stay in her past. Destruction nodded, understanding fully the weight of his words. She shifted in her spot before she spoke. Though blood taints my past, I wish for it to no longer taint my future. Since the birth of my son the blood-lust has since vanished. And I do not seek to have it return. Though my skills remain intact, I swear to never use them against another pack memember, lest they threaten the safety of my son. Other than that, you have no worries from me sir. If I can be of any service or if you need any warriors, do not hesitate to call upon me. I am grateful that despite my past you allow me a chance to live amongst your wolves and begin a whole new life for myself and my son. Dillinger looked to the king, his ears flicking back to listen to his mother. So, this was home now? He was going to live in this new place with his mother and the king Gerhardt? THe onyx dame spared a glance to her child before looking to the King, awaiting his final verdict.

The King tried to quell the festering notion in the back of his mind that she might be dangerous. She looked innocent enough, even with her stained throat glistening in the sunlight. Her son at her side also did wonders to make her look as if she meant no harm. Besides, it wasn't like she was the first known killer to be allowed into Seracia's midst. Elphaba had a dark past - one that he truthfully didn't know everything about, and Bronze had been a warrior in his day. Why should he look at her any different? Had Valkis really tainted his mind so much that he would question her simply for knowing him, for seeing him once in her life? He couldn't allow that to happen.

She would state her piece, further quelling his nerves - if you could call them that - toward her joining his home. Eyes would flicker to the boy, and then back to his mother as a smile crept across his face. "A new life it shall be. Welcome home, Destruction and Dillinger." He turned slightly to better view his kingdom. "There are three large structures suitable for sleeping in, as well as countless dens dotting the kingdom here and there. You may take up residence in any that are vacant. Our main water source is to the far east portion of our land, you can't miss it - it's a large lake. Prey are present in almost every part of the land, but more prevalent in the wooded tresses. Lastly, free roaming cattle range across the land. There's a particularly nasty black bull that's been a bit of a bother, but as long as you don't get near him he shouldn't cause you much harm. We intend on eradicating him soon if he doesn't stop posing a threat." He paused, letting all of this sink in for a moment. "You are free to come and go as you please, but we do ask that if you roam you at least check in every few days - it's easier to keep track of everyone that way. Otherwise, you can do as you please." The King waited to see if she had any other concerns he ought to address. Otherwise, he would leave the two newcomers to their exploring.

At first the words falling from the King's maw didn't make sense to Destruction. A new life it shall be. Welcome home, Destruction and Dillinger.Even the young boy didn't quite grasp the meaning, looking up to his mother for some kind of signal that would help him understand. The russet stained wench simply looked at Gerhardt, taking several moments to process his first utterance. Home. Home. Home. She had a home. The need to wander was no longer necessary. Her past was just that; her past. There was no need for violence to plague her every pawstep any longer. The violet eyed King had granted them a place within their ranks. Feelings bubbled inside of the onyx dame but she didn't have any words to put to them. Relief? Gratitude? Those were foreign words to her vocabulary. It wasn't of much importance how she felt. She was part of a pack now.

Destruction hurried to return her attention back to what the king was saying. She listened intently as he described her new home, pointing out the key places for food and shelter, all essentials needed to be acquainted with in this new pack. She had a vague idea of where everything was siutated based on his description. She would find time to figure out their exact locations later on. He paused for a moment and she assumed he was allowing his words to sink in, since they were a bit to taken in so suddenly. He continued on, telling her that she was free to come and go as she pleased, but to check in if she decided to wander off. Destruction didn't think she would be wandering off very much for the time being. She needed to get acquainted with her new home and the wolves that resided within in it. She waited until he finished before speaking. Thank you for allowing me and my son to become part of your pack sir, I will make sure it's not a decision you come to regret. She bowed her head in silent thanks, leveling her gaze with the king, not knowing if she was supposed to depart or allow him to leave first.

It was done. The mother and son were the newest members of Seracia. Eyes swept over the pair kindly, with every intention of memorizing their features. The boy, so full of youth, he would grow up in the ways of Seracia, under the love and protection of his mother and the rest of the kingdom. Who knew what would become of him, what would become of any of them. The King had high hopes. He'd said his piece, and would wait only a moment more before allowing them to do as they pleased. He certainly didn't want to smother the newest Clergy and Filius. "The pleasure is mine." With that, the King pivoted slightly, preparing himself to leave. "If you need anything, we're all here to assist you." Gerhardt turned the final distance from them and took up a trot, leaving the mother and son to their wanderings.

Exit Gerhardt.

The pair looked towards the king, watching as he bowed, leaving them with final, parting words before he disappeared back into their new home. Destruction stood, shaking her pelt free of debris, waiting until Dillinger had done the same before the two moved off into Seracia, intent on familiarizing themselves with their new home.
