The Dawn is Breaking

Rather quickly she had settled into her role as a mother. The children were wonderful and from the day she knew of their existence she had begun to care, protect and love them as best as she could. Novella was certainly rather happy with her life at the moment, how could you not be falling asleep each night and awaking each morning surrounded by her mate and their children?
Though his stirring was rather gentle, Novella would still worry for a moment that something was wrong. Aslan, Varda and Herne still slept though and the early morning air was peaceful. Mismatched eyes would fall upon her mate and his own soft smile would confirm that things seemed to be alright and the worry would subside. But why was he waking her then?

Frith wouldn't answer her however and the girl would frown softly as she wondered what on earth he was up to. Carefully he would rise and begin to leave the den, motioning for her to follow. First she would check upon the children once more, all three were sound asleep and it was with confusion and nerves that she would rise and follow him towards the entrance of the den. There she would find him waiting for her.
The sky was certainly rather pretty though before she had a chance to ask him once more what he was playing at he would be off again. The path he was on led towards the falls, could he really be intending for them to visit their secret den once more? As much as she loved the space and missed it dearly could she really just leave the children? She would cast another glance into the den as she stood there.

Frith it seemed wouldn't share her worries. As of late she had certainly turned into quite the worrier, throughout her pregnancy, the birth, the raising of the children, the leading a pack. Somehow through it all she hadn't completely fallen apart and kept her strength though now she would clearly show a mother's weakness a reluctance to leave her children. Frith would comfort her, soothe those worries somewhat as he returned to her side. A part of her couldn't argue with his comment, it seemed like it had been a long time since they'd been able to be alone and even longer since they'd visited their cave behind the waterfall and it certainly was tempting to spend time with her mate there once more.

It wasn't just since the birth, it was before that the worrying had started, only with them still contained within her womb it was impossible to lose track of them and worries more about hurting herself and them in some way or that she might mess up drastically as a mother. She had made it through pregnancy and birth though and so far she was doing ok, the worries still wouldn't quite ease however.
It was a shame they hadn't been able to visit their cave this season. In the bright Summer sun the crystals were bound to reflect the brighter light brilliantly, the already amazing colours surely would then intensify as well. Though she did miss their secret little place, part of the reason she was glad that she and Frith had been allowed to keep the falls she hadn't really thought about visiting or the differences in sunrise or summer. Her mind had been occupied with Aslan, Varda, Herne and Threar.
Frith would promise they wouldn't stay too long and would slip past the waterfall into their little hideaway. Easily she would follow him inside, mind of course still lingering on children and pack duties though already even she couldn't deny that she was glad to be here again.

Everything certainly had come rather quickly for them, one thing barging into their lives straight after another. Not a moment of it would be regretted but it sure hadn't been the smoothest stretch for a while. There was some sort of settlement in the chaos now though peace and quiet wasn't an easy thing to get, even as they tried to sleep they'd be met with 3 sets of paws digging into sides as the pups fidgeted in their sleep. She loved them dearly though she could understand already why eventually children had to find their own den, they were already growing so quickly.
Now though there was nothing but tranquillity as they made their way through to the main part of the cave, the soft glow of the crystals casting the gentle rainbows around as the first rays of sunlight pushed their way inside. A small smile would spread across her features as mismatched gaze glanced around the cavern and she would lean into Frith's nuzzles as he spoke. So he was right to have dragged her here, it certainly wasn't bad idea really. Shifting her positioning slightly, she would lick mate's chin, before nestling beneath it a little content sigh the only sound that would leave her.

Her own education as she grew had been a little relaxed. Her parents were very wise, that much she had always known but they'd been very reluctant to push their second litter after the damage they had done with the first. Already Novella could see that some sort of balance between the two was obviously needed and hopefully she would find that lovely medium with her own children. It certainly would be time for them to begin picking up little helpful bits of knowledge like this, they grew at a scarily quick rate.
Such thoughts however would be pushed from her mind now, as would anything to do with the pack, group lessons that would be expected to begin soon enough. The little cave was still the perfect getaway, their own secret little space that could be retreated to to simply escape the world. It was here that they had officially begun their relationship, confessing all feelings to one and other oblivious to how quick others would perceive their relationship to have developed. Even now Novella wouldn't care about the speed she had rushed into this new life, how could she complain with this wonderful man now at her side, her husband and father of her beautiful children?
The light continued to brighten in the world outside and the effect was wonderful with the rainbows starting to strengthen as well.

She wouldn't quite agree with Frith's idea that she was perfect though their relationship, his companionship she certainly could not fault at all. They had fallen in love with each other so quickly and effortlessly and whilst everything had gone speeding somewhat out of their control there still was not a thing that Novella would change about it. She would continue to silently lean against him now, mismatched gaze still focussed upon their beautiful cave, unaware of Frith's attention fixed upon her. A soft smile would find it's way back to her features and he agreed, stating he knew she'd enjoy it and as she had already stated, the chocolate man was completely right. There was no problems with their tranquil hideaway either, the opportunity to relax together for a while. Lifting her gaze to him now as he moved closer once more, she would respond to his affections with loving kisses of her own.

Her own parents had certainly had what Novella had always viewed to be a perfect relationship, with so much of their life spent together there was really no other way to describe it in her opinion and it was something that ought to be admired, a fact realised with the strains that her sister Song had gone through. She had never before been aware of the fact however that she wanted that same fate for herself, to spend her days in a happy, loving relationship. More specifically of course, for that had been the moment she had become aware of this desire, she wanted all of that with Frith. Her own beauty perhaps she was not quite so aware of despite the fact that he had stated such things to her before. His love though, that she was rather aware of and had been since their first trip to this cave.

So much for simply watching the lights of their crystal cave, Frith was quite the distraction it seemed keeping her attention despite the brightened glow of the cave signalling the sun had nearly finishing rising. She would shift slightly, welcoming his attempting to pull her closer as they uttered their soft declarations of love. Her gaze would remain upon him now and a small smile would find its way to her lips as he spoke.

Now Novella didn't dare think about what her life could possibly be like had she not strayed for a walk and found Frith that night and had she not persuaded him to follow her to Ludicael. It was somewhat strange to think how much one little meeting had shaped and changed her life, it hadn't meant so much at the time, simply a potential member for the pack, he had been a lonely, mourning man in need of some friends to support him. She had been that friend, slowly but entirely growing into far more.
He had stolen her attention now, repeating the words once more back to her and requesting that she would be his forever. A soft smile would find it's way to her lips as she nuzzled him in response.
