Quote:
THE PROPHECY

For years now the Tahtla have been listening to the calls of wolves from over the water. For nearly five years now those strange wolves have been calling each other to battle, to war, unaware that they were being listened to. The Aika has prophesied to the tribe that one day they would have to face these bloodthirsty wolves themselves, and that they were never to be trusted. Wolves from the North would bring chaos and unrest, and if allowed to roam freely on their lands, they would bring the end to their tribe.

THE TRIBE

The Tahtla are a group wolves native to Southern Alacritia. They're a close knit group that has lived beside the land and done their best to preserve it for as long as they can remember. They are physically lead by the two oldest wolves in the tribe. Wisdom and experience are valued greatly by the tribe, those over six are respected no matter what they have achieved in life.

The spiritual leader is the Aika, the Oracle. She is, to the Tahtla, their goddess in physical form, and exists to protect them. She is to be protected, and not to conceive until a new Aika is born. This means that very rarely is the job passed from one family member to another. The Aika is born during the winter solstice - surviving the winter is part of the test as to whether the child is the goddess's chosen host.

Family is very important to the Tahtla, to betray one's family is to betray the tribe. Betrayal is met with being run to the very edges of Southern Alacritia if seen or heard from by the Tahtla. They live a life of solitude, and are maimed so that future generations know that the wolf is a traitor. The family that they come from are watched closely, only so that they do not slip onto the same path of betrayal.

Elders are to be respected no matter what, but there is a single exception. If a younger, more talented individual proves their strength to the tribe an elder may step down and allow them to lead in their stead.

The Tahtla do not believe in claiming lands. The land is the Goddess's, and she has demanded that the tribe not take what is hers - but use it to their heart's content.

THE ROLES

Elder #1: RESERVED (for me ;) )

Elder #2: OPEN

Oracle: Ojise Oluwa

Oracle's protector: Skah Adeyemi

Traitor: Kayode Adayemi

Female Names: Imala, Sihu, Tiva, Natane, Mai, Winona, Aiyana, Karmiti, Lummi, Gwena, Lya

Male Names: Sani, Skah, Choovio, Tate, Hassun, Istaqa, Chayton, Adriel, Chewa, Tsamai

Family lines: Yakima, Teetonka, Shawnee, Adeyemi (more can be added)

MORE INFORMATION

The traitor is a male that wanted to abandon the goddess's one rule - to not claim lands. He wanted to stake his people's claim to a few territories and make them sacred. Make it so that even if the Northern Wolves came that they would have something that was theirs even by the most basic of instinct. He went against the Elders and the Aika - and when no one would listen he challenged the Elder's for their position to rule. Although he was strong, he could not defeat the both of them, and he was run off - never to see or speak to a member of the tribe again. He is an angry and curious lupine and may or may not be planning the tribe's downfall.

The Aika is a female that is anywhere from one to nine - and the spiritual leader to the Tahtla. She is the physical embodiment of the tribe's only goddess, the Otito Iya - the true mother. As long as she keeps her connection with the goddess, she is free to help with any tribe activities. The only rule, is that she must not have children until the new Aika is born.

The Tahtla speak Yoruba - and are not fluent in English.

The Aika's protector is the Dari. They can be either male or female, but they are to never leave the Aika's side. If something happens to the goddess, this wolf is the one that's to blame. A failed Dari is seen as even worse than a traitor. Their maiming is more severe.

Socially the Tahtla are close, and although their beliefs are unshakable, they are a fun loving group as well. Males will constantly try to one up each other and prove their masculinity. ((Females will occasionally join in on the play, it isn't unheard of, only rare. Beauty and wisdom are a trait more commonly seen in Tahtla women than boldness and strength.)) Rivalries can get competitive - especially when it comes to choosing a mate. Bloodlines in leadership are not a factor, but families often compete and have rivalries with one another. Although the families of traitors are not supposed to be treated differently, there is no doubt that there are those that hold it over their heads.

ABOUT THE FAMILIES

Yakima Family

The Yakima family are a smaller group of wolves. A single grandparents remains, who cares for their two children. Only of of their children has a mate, and since their child was the male, his mate adopted the Yakima name. They have three young children. The family tends to be quiet, specializes in the tracking side of hunting. They're the ones likely to know where prey goes during what time of year, and whether a prey species needs time to reproduce before being hunted or whether they should be more heavily targetted because of overpopulation.

Female (5+) x Male(5+) - Male (3+) Female (3+)

Male x Mate - Child one (1), Child two(1), Child three(1)

Teetonka Family

The Teetonka family is a larger group of wolves. One great grandfather has three sets of children from his late wife (he has had two in his liftetime.) Some of his children are young enough to be his grandchildren, but he loves his entire family all the same. His new wife is not completely accepted by all of his older children as he was supposed to mate for life when he met the second love of his life. They are an open group in terms of their personalities, fiery and passionate about the tribe. They are fierce competitors that like to test each other and other families to scuffles, hunts and journeys in the name of the goddess.

male(7) x female(7) - male (5+), female(5+), Natane

mate(7) x female (4) - female (1)

male(5+) x mate(3+) - child one(1), child two(1)

female (5+) x mate(5+) - Istaque

Shawnee Family

The Shawnee family is a medium sized group of wolves. They don't have any true elders (those over 6) but they have plenty of younger members due to a set of three siblings each starting families when they were young. They are a more peaceful group, known to be smaller in size but large in heart. They are close with nature, often times they take up stargazing and weather watching, along with hunting and fishing.

APPEARANCE INFORMATION

The Tahtla are a very natural looking group. Their sizes range from the large end of small to the small end of large with a few that are smaller or larger. Intricate markings are rarely seen on these wolves, and abnormal coloration is not seen in them at all. Temporary paint is sometimes applied before hunts and holidays, but they are temporary - normally only lasting the length of a thread. (basically as long as your character is free they're fine)

The App

Role: if any

Family: (Yakima, Teetonka, Shawnee, other)

Name:

Gender:

Age:

Appearance: 100 words

Personality: 150 words

Applications will have four days to wait for other people to show interest in a role. If none is shown in the same role, it will be reviewed and most likely given to whoever applied for it. (i'm not too picky) Have fun! The tribe will always available to add more wolves to since there's no telling how large it is with Southern Alacritia just opening up but existing beside Northern Alacritia for years. Elisandra also has permission to accept new members (as she helped me with many of the ideas for the Tahtla)

Lya Adeyemi

role: The Oracle/Aika ( Otherwise normal member )

family: Adeyemi

NAME: Lya

Age: Four Years

Gender: Female

APPEARANCE:

Quote:Just as the harsh solstice she was produced in, the colors of pure snow and frozen grounds have colored her pelt in various shades, as if a pencil shaded in a picture of her icon.

First and foremost, many will notice her slight figure, that of a goddess, such as the goddess her body hosts. Her icon is streamlined and holds very little curve about it, each angle of her posture sharp. She stands at a rather impassive twenty-nine inches at her very shoulders, most of her weight consisting of either muscle or the spirit of the goddess within her, a light one hundred twenty-one pounds. Despite her lightness, the vessel is healthy and is without disease or famine, hiding the fact of rejecting full meals. The cloak of her pelt is of medium length, yet is constantly groomed to the best of her ability to upkeep her appearance, no matter how unruly or despicable her pelt can become if left unchecked for several days. The coat is thicker wrung about her neck and cheeks, as well as near her rump, where a normal length banner sways, covered in a double coat about two inches thick on the undersides.

Just as the season of her long-awaited birth, comes the hues mirroring that of the winter months. The base is swathed by a light tan color, which reigns untouched only in special areas of her bodice, primarily upon her face and scruff. Smoky white bands mar her pale skin, banding all over her icon save for her lower legs and the clean areas of tan. The default of her coloration is visible beneath these brushstrokes of white smoke. The brindled markings rush all along the small of her back, over her shoulders, and near her knees on both forelegs and hind legs, fading eventually on her legs to a smoky grey, whilst her plume fades into her base coat. Despite her rather bland colors that mottle her skin, she bears some sharply changed markings. Her muzzle is dipped in snow, as well as both of her ears. Each paw is delicately dipped in this color, fading from the smudgy smoke colors of her appendages. The entirety of her underside within radius of her legs is masked by the same snowy white colors, topping off her wintery appearance. The gems of the mother has been bestowed upon the snowy goddess, holding the color of turquoise. The expression displayed by them is undeniable, and sometimes if one is to look hard enough, they may see the kindness of a mother; Otito Iya.

PERSONALITY:

Quote:Since the availibility of the goddess' lands to the wolves whose songs were constantly of constant war and strife, without peace and tranquility, the vessel has given it upon herself to guide the two leading elders through what might spell the end of the Tahtla and their ways. Otito Iya speaks through her as a way of communicating with those who are mortal, and allows her to gain wisdom and pass it down to her next successor. On her own, however, she is intelligent and strong-willed, almost stubborn in some conditions. Her temper isn't an easy one to spike, but once it has been ignited, the goddess can act a little bit off, but she can easily calm down once her mind is set upon it. The chasms of her mind can quickly create images of plans and she is a bit of a strategist if such a skill is ever to have to be called upon.

Since the arrival of the northern wolves, who had begun to bring their problematic temperament to the southern lands of the goddess, Lya has found herself to be growing a bit more untrusting around those who aren't of southern descent, or truly not within the Tahtla. She uses caution with her own words around those such wolves as well, to try to keep the tribe a secret away from the selfish and greedy savages of the north. If one is to provoke her and attack, whilst her guard is not about, she is willing to fight to keep herself. Self-defense is in fact, a small trait she has learned, to keep herself from feeling guilty of allowing the guard to be held responsible for her harming and be exiled.

Her eyes hold the kindness that of a mother around those she is most familiar about, those who speak the language of the land, and her posture holds that of a guide, to help lead the Tahtla through their darkest times and bleakest moments; willing enough to take lead to aid as many as she is able to. Children, especially, are held close to her heart. Each one is treated by her as a god or goddess, for they continue life and the cycle of rebirth in the lands, and each one has a small bit of Otito Iya within them.

SHORT HISTORY:

Quote:As many of the past Oracles of the Tahtla tribe, the vessel was given life to in the heat of the winter solstice, the brink of a hard season spent surviving as a test. She spent some time beat by her father who appeared and disappeared like the sun and moon at the end of each day, whilst fighting to survive in a litter of only herself with her starving mother in wastelands. Food was a scarcity and often greeted with ritual cherishing and usage properly, making even a small scrap last long enough to satisfy them for another day to live.

As the mistrals retreated and the lands warmed, life began to burgeon and the child was met by many new faces, all of those who would welcome their new Oracle coming of age. The current Aika then had gazed down at her frail frame, her motherly gaze captivating her heart in silent embrace. Instantly, the child had felt safety, and every day, she was eager to learn more of what her future role in the Tahtla was to be. When her rank was passed down to her, the child took it with great care, and since then, she has been the host of the true mother of the world.

Role: Oracle's protector
Family: Teetonka
Name: Istaqa
Gender: Male
Age: 3 years
Appearance: Istaqa stands an impressive 35 inches tall, and weighing in at 200 pounds. The man is built like a fighter, clearly fitting solidly into his role. Chocolate brown short, coarse fur covers his large rippling form nearly unbroken save for a crescent fairly large crescent shaped scar that runs the length of his humorous. The coloration on his pelt is even, unchanged except for two places. The tip of his tail is a lighter sandy brown color, as well as a small patch in the middle of his neck. The only other remarkable thing about the male are his brilliant yellow eyes, which jump out against the darkness of his coat.
Personality: Stoic: It would not be uncommon for one to mistake Istaqa for an unmoving statue, when he?s standing still his expression so very rarely shifts he might as well be made of stone. A mask of disinterest very rarely lifting from his face.
Silent: Adding to that effect the male very rarely speaks his mind, instead choosing to keep them locked up in his head.
Devoted: Istaqa will never turn his back on those he is committed to, in particular his Oracle. He would rather lay down his own life than betray anyone.
Realist: The world is a dangerous and less than kind place, Istaqa knows and recongizes this as not just truth but unchangeable.
Sentimental: Despite all this the man has a soft side, one that is not often shown or acknowledged but there none the less. He grows easily attached to those he spends any sort of meaningful time with.
Watchful: It is not uncommon for members of the tribe to feel his gaze upon them as they pass by, as he is seemingly always observing.

NOTE: ADEYEMI IS AN OPEN FAMILY. Cousins, siblings etc are more then welcome <3 feel free to pm me or message me and we can all sit down and discuss this family a bit. I'm gonna make them a family tree once everyone is settled and we figured out who is who's kid lol <3
CURRENT FAMILY: Shai & Abeni are litter mates. Kayode & Lya are cousins (same or different parents will be up to you)

UPDATE ON DESIGNS: I have mentioned this on Skype tribe chat, gonna be as clear as possible here. Please please please guys. Do NOT use cloth with beads in your character design. Its not something common to come by, its nothing people have done before and I would like to keep this for Skah and Shai. I can't stop you from getting cloth but please do not copy my character design! On another note I would really love for the piercing and long neck feathers to be an Adeyemi family trait (not to say other families can't have them but I would like this family to have one or both) <3 Beads against the face I am now saying is what is marking Skah as protector as well. Thanks! (edited oct 22/14)

Skah Adeyemi

AGE: 2 years (winter)
GENDER: Male
RANK: Oracles Protector (would really love this rank but if not chosen will still make this character as a normal native of the pack)
PERSONALITY:`TACITURN; "I live in a world of silence, preferring to sit on the sidelines and carefully work everything out for myself rather then arguing points and trying to sway others to my ideals or opinions. Though some take my silence for agreement that is rarely the truth, there are few I feel worthy to be graced by the sound of my voice or the wisdom of my words. Though generally if I speak it is for a reason and it is more often to state a fact or to inform others of my opinions rather then asking them for theirs."
`POWERFUL; "This description could go in both the physical and mental description, since we are on personality and not appearance I suppose we shall stick with the mental side. I am unwavering in my faith and ideals to the point where half the time I end up shoving them down the throats of others in a less then delicate fashion. I have been told I can be overwhelming, often using my physical stature to back up my points of view. More often then not I am willing to throw down to prove a point."
`EMOTIANLLY IMMATURE; "I struggle with making connections, with relating to others and with empathizing. Everything I do is based on a primal instinct, responses chosen based on chemical reactions in my chest. I struggle to be a good friend, if it is not business you wish to discuss with me then I struggle. Anything that needs emotion or anything aside from logic is a constant battle for me. It pains me to see friends and family in pain, either emotional or physical, but I always feel the need to protect them. I am always ready to burn the world down if it would make someone feel better, but to sit and listen to ones troubles is beyond me."
`LOYAL; "There are few who command my loyalty, few who I would lay down my life for. But my loyalty means just that, an undying devotion for that person that is almost blinding. I often fail to see the flaws in those I am loyal to, fail to look beyond the pedestal I have placed them atop. My own flaw being that once I have placed someone on said pedestal it?s very rare for me to change my ideals of them. Loyal to a fault. My life is a small price to pay if my oracle, or family should ask.?
`DISCONNECTED; ?I find I don?t feel anymore, I?ve never had a flood of emotions. Yes I?ve been known to feel the most basic and animalistic emotions such as lust and rage but rarely feel things such as sorrow or joy or anything like that. Sometimes I feel pain but most times I don?t, especially in a fight. My mind simply seems to disconnect from my body and allows me to process everything much quicker then most wolves. I find that not thinking about the little things or letting my emotions rule me allows me to process rationally much quicker.?
`HEARTLESS; ?I will throw you under the bus if it will save myself or my oracle."
`BLUNT; "I've never been one to dance around delicate subjects, especially when my direct opinion is asked. I will state what is on my mind with no reservations or worries about what the repercussions of my words may be. Sometimes, words slip out when I don't mean them and for that I usually apologize even if I beyond a doubt believe that they are true. I try and keep my words to myself unless asked to avoid unneeded conflict. Not to say that I'm against conflict but my thoughtless words have caused many fights with some equines I would even go as far as calling friends. I'm getting better at controlling myself as I get older but around new equines I don't know there is no filter from my mind to my mouth."
`DEVOUT; ?The goddess gave me my life and I will spend the entirety of it protecting her, her word, her law, her land and most of all her oracle. I was born to one day lay my life down in her name, this much I understand but it doesn't mean I am always okay with it. This role plays a huge part in my personality, its a main reason I disconnect myself from others so much. My life is now my own, it is the goddess's to do with as she pleases. She has seen fit to have me guard her oracle, though I have some reservations now, when the time comes I will do whatever it takes to keep her safe."
`FIGHTER; ?I was born and raised to fight, my siblings and I had a whole different meaning to play fighting when we were kids. Not being alert could have meant death to any of us. Not keeping up in your studies could mean death as well. It was always a constant struggle, a battle for the goddesses affections. One of us was going to be the Oracle's Protector or we were going to die trying. Because of that I don't give up on things I believe in easily. But besides being a physical fighter I am also more then willing to enjoy a good battle of the wits on occasion. If someone has a quick tongue and a rational argument I am willing to sit down for a good debate."
`VIOLENT; ?I will admit to having a bit of a temper though I find it?s hard to get me to snap. There have only been one or two occasions that I?ve snapped but I find that once I?m in that state it?s very similar to a berserker. There is little anyone can do to stop me from ripping and tearing at anyone or anything I can get tooth or claw into. But as I said this is rare, I find I have more then enough control to keep myself in check for the most part. It takes a lot to get me into the blood lust frenzy and it takes just as much to get me out.?
`ARTICULATE; "When I need to be I am rather well spoken, or so I have been told. I can get my point across quite clearly without having to resort to violence though history tells me that violence gets the point across a bit easier. I have been taught to express my feelings and thoughts without stumbling or stuttering over my words. I have learned to take in other people opinions without getting riled up and to continue to convey my opinion in a calm but assertive manner. But at the same time most of the time I don't bother with this, when time is of the essence I usually can't spare the time to try and be articulate and diplomatic in the matter. Despite all my training it's usually all wasted unfortunately."
`VOLATILE; "I'm told that this trait comes from my father, not enjoying having my buttons pushed by others. I would much rather be the one pushing buttons... No one has really figured out what sets me off, hell even I don't really know. Once second I could be fine and the next I'm leaping at someone trying to kick their head in. Yes there have defiantly been times where that person has deserved it but there have been equally as many that my poor victim hasn't. I can recognize that they don't deserve it afterwards, though I wouldn't be caught dead apologizing, but in the moment it feels like something else takes over. Some days it is something that someone said earlier on that started the fuse and then it just happened to reach the end when someone else dared to say hello to me. I struggle with controlling this part of my anger, though its never exactly unpleasant..."
`PERSISTENT; "If I want something I will do pretty much anything to get it. I've been told a few times that I go too far, that what I do could get someone hurt but really. I don't care. If I want a flower on a cliff side to give to someone else or simply just to stomp on it you better be sure that you'll be getting it for me. If it takes me weeks or even months to make you do it that's fine by me. Once I see something I want mark my words it will be mine. Apparently I get that trait from my father... Hey, its not a bad thing to know what you want and to do anything and everything in your power to get it. That's how all great empires were started right?"
`ADAPTIVE; "I like to have concrete plans, I like to have an idea of what is going to happen to to have back up plans if the first one fails. But sometimes things happen that no matter what you do everything goes to shit. I have had this happen many times to me before. I have learned to be quite adaptive to my situations, I have learned to think on my feet and figure things out quickly. No I am not adaptive in the sense of social situations, I do in fact suck at those no matter what happens. This is in the sense of more intense situations where, though not always, making the right choices could mean life or death. Oddly enough I am good in pressure situations. That is all. I am done talking about myself now?"
APPEARANCE: ?I don?t understand why you?re putting me through this but if I must?

I suppose we?ll start with my coloring, the design is rather simple with no set pattern, rhyme or reason to it. I was always told that I was blessed to have the coloring I was born with, that the molten mixture of black, greys and browns broke up my form in the shadows. Though there are some silver and lighter grey markings that I sometimes roll around in the dirt to cover up. On each side of my eyes there is a light tan line under my eyes with three disconnected lines spearing down from there. On the back of my scruff and over my shoulders lay a soft plumage of feathers, darker ones fluffing from the back of my neck and light tan ones poke from the sides of my neck. All are held in place with a mixture of tree sap, dirt and good old knotted fur. My underbelly is a lighter grey as is most wolves and that grey stripes up and down my forelegs and tail. The rest of my coat is just a black and a shade not far off black.

Lets move this right along?

My eyes are a bright, almost luminescent blue and are the only thing that most see of me while I hide. They force me to squint as to not draw attention to myself. Everything I do is in the shadows now. Though I think I forgot to mention this, I have that lighter tan rimming my ears as well. During ceremonial times I have gathered together some things to make myself stand out more, I have donned a red cloth with gold beads around it around my neck and tail. When I was a pup my father killed a rat and let it decompose, when it was nothing but bones he broke off tits two biggest ribs and cleaned them before stabbing them through my ears. When I was accepted to be the oracle's protector my mother gave me some of her beads and stuck them in the fur above my brows. These are also held in place with matted fur and tree sap that is reapplied weekly.

Onto my build lastly I suppose?

I have yet to run into another quite as large as I. I stand 42" inches at the shoulder, and weighing a whole 200 lbs. Don?t be fooled, all of that is muscle and unlike many I know how to use every single one. My face and muzzle are long and narrow, my ears are large, tall and thin and this all gives me a rather fox like appearance. My fur is thick around my neck, shoulders and flanks to give a little extra cushion but it is sleek around the rest of my body and short on my legs except the feathering that occurs on the backs of my legs. All of it just seems to naturally fall into place though the hair on my scruff is course and seems to always be slightly fluffed up and stand on end. To top it all off my body is riddled with scars though my coat is thick enough to cover most. The most noticeable ones are the ones that adorn my left hip.?

Natane is a rather tiny wolf, standing at 26 inches and weighing 70 pounds. She is very slim and nothing far from a beauty as her tribe favors. Her best skill would be hunting, but being able to fend for herself as well as others is not something she lacks.

Natane is an all white wolf with light silver eyes, more like the color of the moon. Her full fluffs smoothly out from her body and is soft at the touch. She works well to keep it clean most of the time.

(Why not add a little something xD) Natane is missing the tip of her left ear and has a small scar that runs out from the corner of her mouth. She got these injuries from an encounter with a bear a couple years back. Her scar can go almost unnoticeable and the tip of her ear was barely nicked.

(With Feathers and Jewelry)

Natane has two black feathers woven through her fur right behind her ear that lean to the left of her neck most of the time. She also has a loose strap of black fabric that wraps around her front left paw-ankle area with a blue bead holding the strings together through the center.

Personality:

(As I always say, this will be re-written like my other profiles. take a look if you'd like ^^)

Natane is probably one of the sweetest wolves on the planet. With the way she was raised in southern Alacritia, it is almost expected to act in a king and almost religious way. She gets along great with others but has a huge liking toward pups. She is not very shy when it comes to making new friends or meeting someone new.

Natane is extremely cautious around new or odd objects. When northern wolves come around, she will try and hide or get defensive because of new smells, colors, etc.

Natane absolutely loves tribe events/hunts. She really enjoys getting painted up and then working with others. She may seem bubbly most of the time. Even though she is very open and not too shy, she can be extremely quiet. Silent even. She listens intently to the other person(s) and is quick to respond with advice or her own opinion. When she strongly disagrees with something, she is sure to let the other know and may even cause conflict or raise her voice.

Other:

I'm okay with having a love interest/marriage/children if anyone is up for it ^^

I'm liking the idea of these feathers and stuff, so long as you are okay with it, i'd add a few feathers and maybe a bracelet to her appearance ^^ (Obviously i can pay)

Role: A hunter type role?
Family: Shawnee
Name: Imala
Gender: Female
Age: One year
Appearance

Imala stands at 29 inches, weighing a lean 90 pounds. She has a decent amount of muscle around her bones, but she is still quite small and fragile. She believes in potential, and even her small size will never get in the way with her vigorous and strong training. Her beauty is nothing to brag about, she finds herself neither elegant or disgraceful. She has dark brown fur, matching the deep soil beneath her paws. It is a natural color that provides excellent camouflage during her hunting. She does not mind the state of her fur, as she is not a vain creature. Mud and dirt can rarely ever show up on her chocolate pelt. Her eyes are a matching light delicate brown, finishing this girl off with a earthly touch.

Personality:

Imala is a small creature, with a large and caring heart. She has the unique ability to bring grace and peace among her fellow tribe mates. As a gentle soul, she holds a strong connection to the natural world, respecting the flora and fauna. Although she is a huntress, she thanks the Aika for granting plentiful prey to run freely through their lands. Imala knows that she must sacrifice the life of other creatures so she and family can live and survive. She follows her ancient traditions and rituals and she always puts her home's importance in front of everything else. She is a responsible and loyal young woman, with her own interests and ambitions. Hunting is where she wishes to pursue, and she has the right and excellent qualities to do so. This girl is brave and boisterous, displaying courage and pride in her paw steps. She would fight to her own death to protect her tribe, no matter how small and young she is. She has the heart and strength of a lion and the gentleness of a dove.

Since I have Aislunn, Dusk and Titania originating from the Ancient Oaks of Southern Alacritia, I plan on Dusk and Titania returning to their family home, finding their ancestors long dead. Perhaps this Tribe were the ones who attacked the Oak Clan, and left nothing behind. Since those three would be the only surviving Oaks, that would cause some conflict between Dusk and Titania and the Tribe. This was just an idea.

As for Imala, I'm thinking about a love relationship with a wolf from the northern continent. That would make things pretty interesting.

The Oracle

Love is the joy of the good

the wonder of the wise

Ojiṣẹ Oluwa - The Oracle of the Tahtla - 2 years of age

The name Ojiṣẹ Oluwa translates out of the language of the Tahtla to be 'Prophet' which is quite fitting for the role that she possesses. The Oracle by the name of Ojiṣẹ Oluwa is a woman of purity. To represent this matter, the Great Goddess gave her a coat of pure white and to represent her kindness and strength, she was given a medium blue eye color. Since she has the protection of the Great Goddess and that of the tribe, she does not need to be large and she stands at a height of 26 inches. She does not weigh much either with only 100 pounds of muscles and bones and fat to account for. The spiritual leader of the tribe is a character of kindness but prideful as well as the great mother would be.

LET THE WIND CARRY YOU FAR, DEEP, AND WIDE...

Despite the kindness that she cares at a wolf, she holds a realm of power and fear for she is the Oracle and her word is the word of the Great Goddess and that holds her responsible for the fate of her tribe. As a servant to the Great Goddess, she believes in purity and obedience. She is always watching the tribe carefully to make sure no wolves try to defy the Great Goddess. She can be stubborn and she believes that there is more to her than just being a prophet of the Goddess that the Tahtla worship.

She is confident and remains physically, mentally, and emotionally stable. She tries her best to keep calm at all times and looks to her Elders just as they look to her for wisdom that the Great Goddess does not share with her right away. Ojiṣẹ Oluwa is no shy wolf. She is not afraid to speak her mind because she knows that she gives the word of Otito Iya herself.

THIS IS WHO I AM... RP SAMPLE

The Oracle had been resting peacefully within the southern confines of Alacritis in order to meditate and receive messages from the goddess that she praised so often. Her sleek white fur was pressed up against a dull grey rock as she searched the waters below her for some sort of sign or omen. It had been a matter of a few months since the Great Goddess had warned her of the calls from across the water. She had to admit that she was quite troubled by the news. Was it true that these wolves, these savages were breaking the sacred rule? It was the one rule that the Goddess had set in place. It was the ONE RULE and yet the uncultured wolves from across the water were breaking it.

What if her family, the tribe, thought that they could do it? What if they turned away from her and the Great Goddess? She was almost certain that the Elders would not allow that to happen but what of the younger wolves? Would some of them break the one rule that had been put to place? Would they try to claim land against the wishes of the Great Goddess, Elders, and the Oracle? Would they dare?

the amazement of the Gods.Ojiṣẹ Oluwa

Believe In Otito Iya. She'll Speak Through Me.

Role: The Oracle {Aika}

Family: Adeyemi

Name: Abeni [Name Meaning:: We asked for her, and behold, we got her]

Age: Two Years [Winter]

Gender: Female

Appearance: Unlike the usual wolves of Tahtla Abeni does not bear a natural look to her coat, despite the more natural tones of earth and snow that mark it. Abeni is a graceful woman, long in her body and legs. Her height will reach a peek at thirty-five inches, giving her the stature of a large wolf. However she is underweight for such a height, being slender, especially as it nears her back end. She will weigh in at one hundred and nine pounds, so she still looks healthy. Her chest is broad and strong, the rest of her body fit. Abeni's head is small in comparison to her broad front, her muzzle also a bit shorter than average, while soft features give no doubt to her feminism. Her eyes are beautiful things, sometimes holding the necessary seriousness of a leader, and other times the gentle gaze of a mother.

Since Abeni is considered the physical embodiment of Otito Iya, is a wolfess who must take pride in her appearance. Her coat is carefully cleaned and groomed, and she carries herself with head lifted. While she has a bit of pride Abeni is not one who looks down upon others. She looks to the Tahtla as her equals, her family, and they are respected. However, in terms of strangers, the Aika is wary. She will regard them with cold eyes, a stiffened posture, and unwavering courage. Even if she is not one to encourage fighting she is not afraid of looking her enemy in the face and standing for the beliefs of her tribe.

As previously mentioned Abeni bears a coat of earth and snow. Her base color is that of faded brown, a much darker version of this, as if dirt were made into mud, coats the end of her muzzle and the underside of her jaw as it drips down onto the throat. Not connected to that marking, but still starting on her chest, is the purest white coloring that slides down her underside to the front of her belly. A middle, earthy brown rests upon the base of Abeni's ears as well, however the tips are marked with a red-brown, as if the red earth painted the tips. But this is not the end of Abeni's markings, for upon her legs, as well as her back, and even her face are more marks as well.

Her left foreleg's paw is the same shade as the base of her ears however a short sock of white rests just above it. Her right foreleg has just a white sock, however, falling a bit short of the length of the markings on the left. Her back left leg is marked by a dark, almost black patch that surrounds her thigh. It drops off at an angle, however, with her knee being left the base color and her ankle being just barely coated in the color. Her back left paw is the same color that rests upon her upper leg. Upon her right back leg is another band of this color, rising at an angle in the front, curling down across the middle of her leg in a crescent bend before wrapping to the inside of her leg. This color also lies across her rump, running along the top of her tail tip it meets a cap of white upon the end. The very tip of Abeni's tail, however, is red-brown like her ear tips.

The rest of Abeni's back is not bear of markings either. The earthy brown tone found on other parts of her body runs from the back of her head, in between her ears, down her neck and across her sides. This color is not solid, however, as red brown breaks the middle of the marking and lays across her back in a smaller area. A bit of white, even smaller than the red brown, lays on the very top of her back, between her shoulder-blade area and stretching a bit up the neck and a bit further in the direction of her tail. Last, but certainly not least, are the dark brown markings around her eyes. Her brows pots are red-brown, adding a touch more interest to her face to look upon. Her eyes are an interesting set of gems; the left is golden and the right a bright green.

Personality: As a whole Abeni is seen as the sort of host one might expect the physical embodiment of the Tahtla goddess Otito Iya. Not only does the young woman bear a unique beauty, she has a motherly type of demeanor about herself. She is gentle and kind, speaking with those of her tribe as if the are all kin, family. They are close, and she wishes to hold them together, to protect them from all things. In being their spiritual leader she must not only possess traits that allow her to look upon others in the tribe as equals but to hold deep wisdom and understanding for the signs the goddess shares with her.

From a young age Abeni has expressed great patience and a calm head. She is not one to rush into things, but carefully plans, watches, and listens to the words of those around her. The young woman speaks with the Elders frequently, holding a deep respect for them. Their guidance, along with the words she hears from their goddess, are what driver her the most. Abeni has a loyalty that is unwavering, to both the tribe and her goddess. When Abeni speaks it is with a voice of honesty as well, whether in calm or rested anger. She does not explode into a temper, but faces it with control and does not allow her emotions to control her.

To Abeni lives are precious, however this does not mean she feels that it is not sometimes necessary to take them. This is especially true in her feelings to the wolves of the North. As the way to the southern continent becomes available to these strangers Abeni has dreams of bloodshed and war, taken to be a sign from Otito Iya that the northern wolves are not to be trusted. While the lands are not theirs, but belong to the goddess, Abeni feels that they must do something about the threat of the northern wolves, whose greed may very well spell the end of their tribe. It is also noteworthy to say that Abeni is a creature of strong will and a stubborn heart as well, willing to do everything she can so that the tribe may live on. Though she shows caution, she will figure out a way to act more quickly if a life of a tribe member is at stake.

Short History:: Abeni, born during the winter solstice, was of a litter of three. She was the only female, and due to the timing of the birth she was watched carefully. Surviving the first test, in time it was come to believe she was the goddesses chosen host despite her rather... unusual markings compared to a normal Tahtla wolf. Though her brother Skah is not exactly a cuddly, loving wolf Abeni has a deep love and respect for him. Her brother, her protector {if Dee get's the position} means the world to her. They are always together, as is custom, and there is no doubt in Abeni's mind she is safe with him.

When the traitor {possibly Cal's character, Abeni and Skah's brother} spoke of abanding the great rule Otito Iya gave them she was appalled, shocked, and gravely hurt. However, doing as was her duty, the embodiment of the goddess went with the others in agreeing for him to be chased from the tribe. Abeni remains with the tribe, worrying some about the traitor, yet she does not let that worry consume her.

I'm Cal, I'm a newbie! Totally down to add the traitor-maim to this, just wasn't sure what it should be. Skype: calicofeathers AIM: xcalicofeathersx

Kayode Adeyemi ? The Traitor ? Male ? Three Years

Appearance

A literal black sheep he is not, but still Kayode retains the omen of dark shading draping his body. With long legs and a stout frame he presents a larger-than-average presence, and confidence exudes from his every pore. Russet creeps up his limbs into shades of brown and tan. An overcoat of black guardhairs is draped across his shoulders with peppery grey accents. Russet ears meld into a dark brow. Black shades the corners of his eyes and shifts into the long fur of his cheeks with sweeping arcs. Expressive rust brows accent eyes the color of sun-drenched whiskey. His bright white chin all but disappears at the dark clasp of fur about his throat.

Despite it all he carries himself with pride. His stature lends itself well to the battles he's fought, and those still to come. The scars of the past are hidden for now, buried beneath regrown fur and regrown pride. But the discerning eye can see the ache in Kayode's face, the resentment, the bitterness. To strangers he masks it with cunning smirks and a laid-back laugh.

Personality

Despite his traitor's brand, Kayode still retains many of the values that the Tahtla hold so dear. He is faithful to the Aika, and powerfully steadfast in his beliefs. The desire for loyalty and family run strong, and he is ever sensitive to betrayal. He is highly respectful of those above him, until he feels they are working against the good of the pack. What drives him above all else is the desire to do for the greater good. It is marred by a streak of ambitious pride, yet he believes his choices to be just. And it was this that drove him to stand against the Elders. The Northern wolves would come, and their beliefs would be defiled in even more sinister ways than laying claim to land. But he had been defeated, and in his mind his banishment was the ultimate disloyalty. Vengeance has crept into his heart and strung its way through the workings of his being. He is tortured by the separation from his family and his goddess, and yet his pride keeps him moving forward

An inherent adaptability is what has kept him alive this long. This traitor's life is hard, but he will walk it. He is a talkative, flirtatious, and generally friendly wolf, preferring to socialize rather than fight. But Kayode's rebellious streak goes deep. While he enjoys the company of others, he is often hot-headed and prone to escalating arguments rather than diffusing them. He counts his lucky stars he has the physical strength to back up his sly tongue. Compounding on that will only carry him into the future.

Shai Adeyemi | Male | 2 Years | Winter | Tribe Member
Appearance: Wrapped in majority by a dark blanket that wrap his legs, neck and tail. These dark markings are marred by creamy hairs that dapple the side of his face, cheeks, torso, haunches, and tip of his tail. His muzzle and the backs of his ears are also covered in this pale fur along with the tips of his toes and around his eye and creating a brow marking. His features are rugged, but handsome. He carries himself proudly and with grace.

His build is that of an incredible being, the man reaches an impressive 42 inches and weighs in at a massive 175 pounds. His legs are incredibly long and well muscled stilts that hold his elegant torso.

Bright sunny yellow eyes adorn his chiseled features, they are a swirling depth of molten lava.

Upon his nose a curved bone has pierced the septum of his nose, upon his left ear a sharpened bone had been shoved through the fold of his upper ear. The pack of his neck holds five blue and gold macaw feathers. His left wrist has around it a dark blue bracelet with a large silver bead while his tail has a similar fabric wrapped around the base of his tail. The ends of this piece hang from his long tail.
Personality: The boy is a rather strong opponent, his personality is one that is tough and unmoving. His beliefs are set in stone, and cares not to change these opinions. He will offer his life to his family and his tribe, putting no one before them including himself. Along with his strong disposition he enjoys the company of others, and is very much a social being. He's the wolf that wants to be there when you need him, he lives to please his kin and those he becomes closest too. He's got a gift of words, and is not afraid to speak his mind. He will proclaim his devotion to his goddess with everything he has, his life fully dedicated to her and the teachings. He is an appreciator of quiet moments, and peace. The male has little of a temper an incredible amounts of patience within his form.

Role: Just a normal tribe wolf <3
Family: Shawnee
Name: Dada (means curly hair)
Gender: Female
Age: 2 years, born in Spring
Appearance:
Dada's name suits her well, for the first thing one notices about this young lass is her fluffy coat of wiry, loosely curling tresses. An odd genetic mix up, it would seem, that caused her coat to be visibly out of place. However, she has taken this unique trait in stride, and she sees the upsides of it more than the downsides. Sure, the downy undercoat is quite thick, and though her pelt is mostly pale, it still gets pretty warm out in the sun. But, it offers a lot of padding and protection for when she goes on her little walks through the forest and decides to squeeze through the brambles. She is a slender thing, not built for combat or hunting anything bigger than a hare. Her limbs are slim, but fairly long, coupled with a lean torso and a lengthy banner that tends to brush against the ground when she walks. Her slim neck holds up a rather small cranium, with features that are beautiful in the same way a daisy is beautiful. They are delicate and simple features, soft cheekbones and large optics, an expressive face, with a long, regal muzzle that tapers into a cute little rosy button nose.
This soft, downy pelt holds only a few pigments. Dove grey dominates her bodice, though shades of ebony have managed to crawl their way onto her sleek form. Obsidian encircle her optics, and flows from the inside corner of her eye, down the edges of her snout, and stop just an inch or so shy of her nose. The same shade tips her long plume, masking any dirt that might be accumulated over the course of the day while it may be subjected to dragging in the dirt. Alabaster forelimbs are often splattered with mud or sand, from her time mostly spent on the coast. Not to mention that her favourite place on the continent is the Manatee Cove, where she spends much of her time. To complete the endearing features, ivory brow spots mark the movement of her features, frequently moving up and down as she screws up her face in various expressions.
Framed by thick black lashes are a pair of sparkling orbs, molten hues of amber and whiskey that catch every little detail. The lass smells of foreign spices, sharp and enticing, and her vocals are smooth and sweet, like honey, and escape her maw in a pleasant alto. Though they can be a little choppy and awkward when she isn't using her native tongue. She wears a pair of feathers entwined in the downy fur behind her left audit, taken from the tail of a rainbow macaw.
Personality:
The lass is a sweet creature, if a little bit shy. Not one for large crowds, save for her family and friends when they gather, she prefers to spend her time out in nature. It's not that she's socially inept, more that she never really has anything to say. Conversations are often short for her, unless one catches her in the right mood. Dada speaks more to her close friends than she does to her family. This is not because she is not close to them, but more that she sees them so often they usually know what's been going on with her.
She's explored every inch of the island she lives on, but still continues to travel all over it as if she has not seen a single thing. The world is a wonder in her eyes, and she loves to see what kinds of things nature can produce and create. The other creatures that she shares the world with are what she tends to be drawn to, and she likes to see what kinds of strange beasts live all over. The manatees are her favourites, though. She has spent hours on end trying to swim around with them, but they always move away into deeper water, farther from her reach. One day, she will achieve it, though.
The wolves of the north terrify her, though she has a secret desire to see one. Not up close, she's not stupid, but she wants to see if they have scales and spines, or breathe fire. They're so cruel, in the stories and the prophecies, she wants to see what these mythical beasts look like. Though, she wouldn't share this opinion with anyone.
Star gazing is another favourite activity of hers, and she can often be found outside on cloudless nights, charting the constellations and watching the glittering pinpricks in the great black abyss above. She likes to do this with a partner, or a group, if she can. It's not unheard of for her to drag friends out into the middle of nowhere to sit around and stare at the sky. Even if everyone has fallen asleep, she simply curls up amid all the warm bodies and lets the stories behind the stars flow through her head.
The lass' brain is such a noisy place, there's so much information bouncing around within it. She's got so much in there, from the different sounds birds make, to the names and stories of the various stars mapped out across the sky, to the songs she likes to sing while she's exploring the world around her. There's so much, she knows the answers to just about any question one could ask about the island she lives on. It's kind of frightening to her, some days.

Role: normal tribe member
Family: Adeyemi
Name: Tiva
Gender: Female
Age: 1 year
Appearance:
The yearling is not of anything special in appearance. She is still growing into her body with long slender limbs and a narrow chest. Her fur is silky smooth, not very plush or thick. Her face is elegant and very feminine with slightly longer muzzle, large bright eyes and small rounded ears. She does not bare the muscles yet of which only training and experience can bring her. At this age she is willowy and slender standing only at 23 inches tall.

As she grows she will come to the height of only 29 inches, very small compared to her two older brothers. She will remain slender, a wolf made for swift speed and agility. And she'll carry herself with pride. She is a confident wolf once older and her appearance and posture speaks of it. Her base color is a soft wood brown, covering the majority of her body. Black marks the rims of her ears, under her eyes are black shadows, pulling the colors of her eyes out. Her paws are dipped in black, her front left paw wearing a black sock while her right hind leg it reach almost to her hock. Her other back leg only has her toes painted in black all but for one toe. That said toe is painted a cream as well as her front right paw. Cream also covers her entire muzzle and the tips of her ears.

Her eyes might be the only thing that makes her stand out if you get close enough to look. From afar they look either dark green, or maybe brown. But in fact they are both. Only in certain lighting will one color dominate the other, appearing to be only one color. Upon closer inspection you can see her eyes are two colors. Centered around the pupils is a warm brown which is then encircled by a forest green. Her eyes are wide, giving a doe like innocence.
Personality:

Kind: She is kind to those around her and to strangers. Not an once of ill intent is in the body of this young girl, nor will it ever be. She may be easily taken advantage of, or so they think. Kindness can only go so far. She is not a fool to let someone walk over her, so her kindness can be limited to those who betray her.

Curious: This could lead her into trouble more than one occasion. She has heard those howls from the northern lands. And yes the oracle says they are bad but she can not help but wonder. What do they look like? Why do they fight so much? Why are they so noisy? Will they really destroy her family? But at the same time she is a great student. Always wanting to know more and always asking why. Everything in life is a wondering puzzle for her and she is set on solving them.

Determined: Some call it stubborn or maybe she is both. But set a task before her and she will do all she can to complete it even if it might cost her her life. Sometimes it'll get her into agruements, trying to prove something she might not be able to actually do. Call it foolish or brave, but she'll do it. But that doesn't make her stupid to keep going when there is no point, that she can never do something, to do the impossible.

Shy/Silent: She is quite around those outside her direct family. Not meaning she doesn't socialize, but she is just soft spoken. She can be shy upon first meeting her, often hiding behind her siblings while her learns who you are. She is not a loud bouncing yearling but rather collected and still. She doesn't need to yell to be heard, voice her voice to get her point across. She'll just wait till its her time to speak.

Empathy: Tiva feels for others, much unlike her older brother Skah. She can easily relate to those around her. She is a good listener, and willing to try and give advice. She feels for others in pain, sorrow, distress of any kind. She wishes to help in any way she can.

[Image: AlawoAv1.png] Al?wo is mostly black in colour, brown undertones tinting it in the right light. Subtle shades create a darker from the top of her head and ears, spreading down her back and covering her tail. Though most markings upon her aren?t clearly visible, white does mark her coat in a few places, around her muzzle, a small splash upon her chest and another patch upon her back starting around her shoulders and extending to the middle of her back. Her eyes are coloured green, however fitting in with her mostly dark appearance they are not vivid in their colour, though softer, shades of the forest than of a precious gem.
Her overall appearance is rather dull and her size equally is nothing extraordinary, standing at around 34? of height and with an average build to accompany it.

Dealt with a bad hand in life Al?wo is far from the happiest person in the world. Throughout her childhood she had been in contact with only three other wolves, with two now dead and the other declared a traitor Al?wo doesn?t find it easy to connect with others and holds a lack of trust towards most strangers. She is in fact quite confident in herself, far from a timid individual when meeting new wolves meaning she does do well to hide her difficulty adjusting and many think her in fact coping rather well to the changes that she is now faced with. Of course there are far more important matters than one young girl?s struggles anyway with the Northern wolves presenting a possible threat to the Tahtla and their ways. Al?wo personally isn?t sure how to feel about this fact; they are yet more strangers that will come crashing into her world and given the banishment of her father, she?s not entirely sure she even trusts the ones she is currently surrounded by. [Image: AlawoAv3.png] Ifede Ayaba had originally been betrothed to another to unite the Ayaba family to a stronger one. In love with Akoni however, she fled to spend her life with him. For around a year they were a happy family, celebrating life with two daughters Al?wo and Ruji. They had very little contact with any of the other Tahtla during this time, assuming they would be punished for abandoning their families in this manner and simply embracing this solitary lifestyle. Sadly however both Ifede and Ruji suffered in the storms and eventually died. Akoni, assuming it was a sign from the Otito Iya acknowledged it was time to return to the tribe and accept whatever punishment he was owed.

Al?wo, only a child and playing no part in the crimes herself was accepted back into the tribe her father however was offered no such option and was marked as a traitor. The only family she knew Al?wo longed to join him, however was forbidden from doing so and assigned a guide to aid her in fully embracing the ways of the Tahtla and ensure she didn?t seek out her father.
