With Bass's agreement, Motif would leave his side and make her way over, one by one to the wolves she thought would be right for the mission. She picked Harmony, not to help with the hunt but to be near by if anything happened and they needed a healer. She stopped before her sister, and with a smile asked her to come, she would brief them all together she had already decided. She stopped by Mira, and asked of her the same, she knew Mira, had fought with her and new her capable. She stopped by Venus as well, repeated her message, she didn't know the girl that well but she had gotten to tier 2 somehow, that should tell her something. Finally she decided on Quintus, she didn't want a large group and these four could be her elites for this night. She brought them to the mouth of the cavern and when they where all there she would speak. ?As you guys know its bad out there, but I believe your all up for what we need ? food. Tracking in this weather is going to be difficult, even navigating it should prove treacherous, but we need to eat. Are you all prepared to follow me out there?? She wanted to make sure they where all full in, she needed their hearts in this as well as their strengths. She waited for everyone to voice their okay and be prepared, she looked at Harmony then. ?You can join in the hunt if you want, but mostly I need your healing abilities? she would admit to her sister.

After seeing to it that Chrono had been properly placed in his eternal slumber, she was tired. Not exhausted, but tired. Making the journey to the Singing Caverns alone, after the others, was not really difficult - it was more tiresome on the mind than the body. Having to evaluate each step so carefully before even flinching. Perhaps that is what failed the calico male, adrenaline and fear clouding rational thoughts. What has happened could not be changed now and she did not dwell on it. There really was nothing to dwell on - it was nature's way to clean out the weak to make room for the strong.

Motif had made her way to her galactic presence, asking her to help search for food for the pack. Mmm, a chance to return to the embrace of the gods. She welcomed the idea, not really for hunting, but for the opportunity to feel the sheer power of the gods' grasp around her feminine form. Paws would shift causing talons to click softly against the rocky floor as she listened to the woman speak. A simple nod would answer her question, a nod in which agreed to go into the storm. In fact, she would have went alone if asked. A true warrior would always return home, breathing or lifeless. Would she welcoming die for this pack? Probably not, but she would die for her own glory. To be written down and stories told of her undying bravery. And so she would wait patiently for whatever orders were given, not particularly happy about the idea of following the instructions of another in a situation as this.

The storm was bad -- far too bad for Quintus to want to go out and hunt. It seemed they had avoided the worst of the storm by moving to the caverns, but the weather was still dangerous. The pack had sought refuge here, in the darkness and protection of the stone walls, but the storm still raged on around them. It was difficult here, however, to be alone; and so he was unsurprised when he was asked to help out. A gentle huff left his lips as he rose to all fours to follow Motif to the mouth of the caverns, wondering what sort of task she had appointed him to.

Quickly she explained that they needed to hunt. Quintus Nero would blink slowly as he pictured the scenario. It would be dangerous, but he had faith that he could avoid most danger -- he had avoided it thus far in his life. Slowly he nodded. "I'm ready," he told her calmly, flashing a grin to Harmony, wondering if she could join as well or simply wait by if her healing skills were needed.

Mirabelle appeared at the designated time, wagging her tail in a greeting. Motif had stopped and asked earlier if she would be willing to do this; the older wolf agreed vehemently. She would fight - and die - for this pack; hunting was a mere aspect of her vows. Abaven was her pack, her family, and a better home than she ever had... and a better home than she ever asked for. She would be loyal unto death.

As she arrived, she noticed that the others were already there. She was the last one. Oops. the Bjundi listened silently as Motif explained, and was nodding along. "We do need food. We need it a lot. Already the pack is growing hungry." Mira paused, glancing at each of the others in turn. "I don't know about the others, but when I joined, I vowed to protect this pack until my death. I swore to make sure all members are safe. I will hunt with you, Motif, and be glad of it - Abaven has my loyalty, and whether I return dead or alive, this pack will be fed." Determination in her voice mirrored that in her eyes. What she implied was obvious, and equally obvious was her sincerity. Of course, she'd rather live, but if need be... her life was no longer hers.

ooc. Such short. I'm so sorry guys, my muse is just having an epic dive right now for no reason.

She had been chosen, amongst several of the mote elite members of Abaven -- though she wasn't all that useful in what task had been chosen for the crew of wolves. A gentle nod was sent to her chocolate-coated sister, mismatched gems flashing in a faked smile. She wanted to be more than just a healer, like Motif was more than just a warrior... Inside her skull, emotions throbbed, but she wouldn't let that hinder her right now. Just before her leave, she would gently whisper in the russet-masked boy's ear, wishing him a simple "good luck" and kissing his cheek gently. Of anyone, he didn't want Motif or Quintus hurt. Silently, she would saunter off to gather herbs in case anyone would get hurt, and when she would return, hopefully the hunt will have begun without her. She didn't want them to wait up, Abaven needed a decent meal instead of bats and mice since the storm.

She found herself eyeing up the recruits she had chosen, not second guessing, she knew most of them and knew team to be capable and the rest held ranks that told her Bass knew they where up for a challenge. No, she was looking at them each to see the courage on their faces and to know that this was Abaven, a loyal pack ready to go out and brave those storms again to make sure the members who needed it where feed. So she would take them all in, Venus, one she didn't know very well and one who remained silent, but ready for what was to come. She would look also to Quintus, who met her eyes and told her he was ready. She smiled at the boy, another member she didn't know that well, reminding her how badly she needed to integrate herself better into the pack.

Mira would be there also, having followed as she asked, and again she found herself thinking she may well be relying on Mira out there ? she knew this girl best, had seen her strength first hand as she fought a fair fight with the other. Mira herself would give a quick speech at the importance of what they where doing and promised that she would see this through or die trying. She shook her head, still smiling, no one would be dying under Motif's command, she would see to that. Harmony however had vanished once she realised what the mission was about, Motif could only imagine it was to get herbs and she loathed to leave without her, likely she would not find them again once this group was out there in the storm ? there would be no way to track Motif's team and the wind and rain made sight a very short reach. So she waited patiently until Harmony was amongst them again, and nodded to her team. ?It's going to be hard to see or hear out there, I want us all to split into a line with as much distance between each other as you can without losing the group to cover more distance, if you see a herd or lone prey signal to the wolves on either side of you. At which point we will split up and come at the prey from two different sides, if its a herd its to split the weakest off if its a single prey its to block of its escape.? she wanted to make sure everyone knew what they where doing before they left, not to mention things could be missed if she tried to yell it above the weather. ?The line will go, me Mira, then Harmony Quintus and Venus. Venus will lead the second group, and they will be the distraction or the block depending on lone or grouped prey. Me and Mira will take down the chosen deer. Does everyone understand what there doing here?? she asked, seeing if any needed clarification.

The soft clatter of talons intertwined in a perfect chorus as the others made their way to the queen's presence. All agreeing to go, though, the one dubbed Harmony seemed to only agree because she felt she needed to. Though, it was indeed to be expected from a healer. The queen's instructions were simple, though, really there was no need to split up until necessary to circle the prey. The senses of smell were heightened by the extra humidity. Sight would only play tricks in the heavy downpour. Staying close by would enable them to take care of one another and to ensure they did not get lost. For deer would be taking shelter in the canopies nearby - not embracing such treacherous weather. The woods would shadow their forms and their really would be no need to try to keep within the eye-sight of one's neighbor. Perhaps they would get lucky, however, and cross paths of one brave soul who dared to venture outside of the protection of the nearby evergreen forest. She would go along with spoken instructions - being put in charge of the second group. The distraction and shield.

Shoulders rolled, stretching muscles and tendons for the journey ahead. Something spoke to her that this hunt would take a while in such conditions. As you wish. Your prey will more than likely seek shelter in the woods or use the nearby cave walls as a block from the weather. We might get lucky and find dinner nearby, if we take time to scan the walls first. The walls will act as a block and if there's a herd we can easily take down several without much struggle, I would think. Words would pour softly from her lips before she would make her way to the mouth of their shelter. Stopping momentarily at the door before moving into the arms of the gods.

Placement was to the right as told, waiting for the others to join her. Though, in this moment before their hunt, she took in a deep breath and allowed the rain to trickle down her fur in an endless embrace. The water was cool, a welcoming change from summer's heat and the warmth the cave held. The wind blew heavily, away from her presence - the cave blocking most of the wind. Surely some form of prey would seek shelter by the cave's walls. In such a requested formation, it would give them the most chance of success. The forest would be a challenge.

Mira nodded slowly, a small smile growing on her face. She'd be working with Motif, to take down the prey? She can do that. Easily. Her strength was in her... well, strength, and not in speed. Thank goodness Motif had eyes to see that. Then Venus spoke, and Mira blinked in surprise. Venus... well, she was intelligent. She made sense. Mira knew that Bass wouldn't choose an idiot to fill the position of Kashkar, but it still came as a surprise. Regardless.

"Venus has a point, Mo. We should check the forest first. The only difficulty would be if we got separated from one another, but I'm pretty sure all of us have good enough memories to make it back to the cavern."

This was stupid. So insanely, completely stupid. He felt his muscles tensing beneath his pelt, feeling suddenly irate at whoever had come up with his idea. A soft sigh would escape his lips but no cries of protest would come, at least not from him. He'd done things equally as stupid before -- like swimming to an island in the middle of a severe storm -- and he was sure he could take care of himself this time. Even if it definitely wasn't the best idea. He would shift as he sat, watching the others as they spoke, vowing to hunt for Abaven despite the dangers the storm presented.

He had to stop himself from rolling his eyes.

Harmony would come closer to him, wishing him a soft 'good luck'. He swore he felt his skin crawl, a shiver running down his spine at her soft words. Motif quickly began to dish out instructions. It seemed he would follow Harmony. A nod would be given to Motif as he silently voiced his understanding, lifting himself to all fours, not exactly eager to begin, but wanting to get this hunt over with as quickly as possible.

Her mismatched gems would look at her sister in incredulous expression, speaking not a word, only gentle nods could be given to the others of the group. The rain pounded overhead, her pelt slicked with water. It was difficult to even keep herself balanced. Conditions were not right for a hunt. She wanted to tell Motif that, but she was afraid of what Venus would say, what Motif would say. For once she didn't want to talk, she didn't want to pipe up and speak her opinion. Her confidence in herself was failing... The storm had washed the slate clean. The Tagavor wasn't who she usually was.

Venus would be the first to give her opinion, and Motif would listen to it carefully, willing to gather as many ideas as she could before she began ? she hadn't attempted something like this before herself after all. All the same, she had confidence in her abilities and in those of this team she had picked. Venus was already stepping out of the protection of the cave and into the rain and she knew her team wanted them to get on with it so they could have it finished already. Knowing this, Motif spoke quickly. ?The forest is a good idea, I doubt they'll be near the walls by our cave, the scent of wolves will be too strong from the lot of us? she said, she didn't think prey would be to near by, it wouldn't take long for any prey to see this cave was occupied by a pack of predators.

Mira would agree with Venus, and Motif nodded her head, already in agreement. Prey would get better shelter from the trees then anywhere else, it was the predators that sought shelter in caves and the like. Next she would look at Quintus and Harmony, certain those two where the least likely to want to go out, but she didn't know all of the members of the pack that well and those two where just unlucky enough for Motif to see a strength in them as she passed them by. ?Alright team, we head to the woods, keep your eyes and ears sharp, single your partner if catch any sense of a prey? she said, and with that, and with Mira by her side she plunged out into the weather and headed in the direction of the woods. The terrain towards their chosen destination was muddy and sloshed between her feet.Yet she enjoyed the sensation of the water curling against her coat and lifted her head to the raging storm, a wild grin would flash across her maw, and then vanish as she got back to business. There wasn't too many dangers in their path, and then they where at the woods without incident. She signalled for them to split up, but not to go far from each other, with her and Mira on one team and Venus leading the other.
