This had to be it, he could smell it in the grasses. His nose dug the ground as he inhaled, thankful that the soil was mud instead of dirt. His nose would return to it's normal position, twitching only slightly to be sure for the hundredth time that this was home; or at least family.
Deep sapphire optics gently took eye to his surroundings. Was anyone around? He would only wait moments longer thinking of how long he had been waiting to be home. But what if this wasn't home?
There was a sense to try, wasn't there? He'd rather know this wasn't home than walking away. So he finally let out a call for his family, the one's that would recognize his voice. He knew better than to come marching in. He would take a seat just outside the pack's lands, waiting patiently for who was to come, that was if anyone would.
The weather was still far from brilliant though it certainly seemed that they were out of the worst of the weather now. Still it was necessary or at least easier to hunt outside of the lands and Dutiron was currently on his way to do just that when he heard a howl at the borders not too far from his own location. The young Destruction certainly didn't have any real power or responsibilities though curiosity would grip him and for whatever reason he thought it a decent enough idea to go and greet this wolf himself as they awaited a higher ranking member to arrive.
There was a familiarity about the man as he drew closer. The dark chocolate of his coat was darker than many of his family though the white lines beneath his eyes were so alike Dutiron's own. He had never gotten the chance to know his Uncle Legend all that well though his memory could certainly recall the familiar form of the man all the same even if he couldn't quite place the name or even connection at all to him. "Hello." He would greet as he came to a halt before the older male. "Who are you?"
He wasn't left waiting long, but the wolf that approached him seemed a little young to be on patrol. One look at the boy and he knew that this had to be Ludicael, or at least something along the lines of that.
It had been forever long since he had seen Dutiron, and though he looked familiar, they all did. If he had spent more time with all of his nephews and nieces, he most likely could have know the boy in an instant.
Optics would lower only slightly to get more of a connection with the kid, obviously wondering who he was as well. But in the child's eye, there was a little more remembrance in them that Legend had in his. "I am Legend." His maw would curl with comfort as he spoke, "And who might you be?"
He wondered if his parents were here, if they would show up to greet him. But for now the young boy here would keep him company, and he was okay with that.
ooc: Dutiron is actually a year now so he is at his full height and a little taller than Legend.
Legend. The name held about as much familiarity as the face if he was completely honest. It wasn't a fact that the young knowledge seeker liked too much either. Though he had certainly reached the point now that he could understand that he would never know everything, Dutiron still liked to know things and something in his gut told him these were things that perhaps he ought to know.
"Dutiron." He responded simply giving his own name now in introduction, certainly far more recognisable and perhaps would instantly allow Legend to recall who he was. The arrow marking upon his lower back was certainly not typical with Destructions anyway, one thing inherited from his father the similar trait shared with others of Song's children. It was also Song however that had decided to name two of her children after her parents, even if he couldn't remember the younger Dutiron, his sister Novel was slightly older and surely able to stick out more in Legend's mind just as she would likely be able to recall him far better.
He would take a quick glance about him now though there was still no sign of his brother Dhiren or his mother meaning that for now he would have to continue to deal with this Legend fellow. Now in some ways Dutiron found himself wishing that he hadn't bothered to come and answer this call, there wasn't much he could do for the man after all. "Dhiren will be along soon I'm sure. You'll have to talk to him really, but why are you here?" Just to feed his own curios nature and fill the otherwise potentially awkward silence.
(OOC: Wow I suck at heights and stuff, forget I said that Oo)
Dutiron.
Most definitely was not his father, so either a younger sibling or a nephew. Though he remembered Novel being named after their mother, he could only assume this was Song's child, but he didn't say anything due to him embarrassing himself. but what if him not reacting would also make him look bad? At this point it didn't really matter what he did.
He would nod his head, but the boy would speak again informing him that someone would be here soon, but asked why he was here. Legend felt comfortable speaking with him, feeling like he knew the younger man and him also being part of the family. There was nothing to be hesitant about or hide.
"I'm looking for my parents, Dutiron and Novel." He would smile to the name finding it slightly humors since he was talking to Dutiron but not that Dutiron."Do you know if the are here?" His head would raise searching for either his parents, or Dhiren. Of course he knew Dhiren, but again, he hadn't spent much time with anyone. The only time he had was looking for the rest of his older siblings.
Whilst Legend's name and face had been somewhat hazy to the boy, the names Novel and Dutiron certainly meant something to him. Not only did they belong to he and his elder sister, though the pair had been named after their grandparents making this man he before him another uncle. The realisation would spread across his features with a somewhat joyous look of surprise though before he could open his mouth and announce this revelation or that the elder Novel and Dutiron were indeed here at the moment one of the pair would arrive.
Obviously Novel would need no prompting to recognise the chocolate man before her and Dutiron would remain silent and step back slightly to leave the mother and son their space for this little reunion he certainly didn't want to intrude upon their moment. Equally however it would be rude to quietly slip away without another word to his uncle or a greeting to his grandmother. Standing still, he would politely await the moment either of them returned their attention to him once more.
The man would give a smile to the boy in return, but his gave would slightly shift behind him as he noticed the white woman in her steps. His grin only grew wider before they actually made contact. Her embrace was enough to stun him, but he would quickly return the favor along with the clenching of his eyes.
"Mom." He would announce almost relieved. He would open up his sapphires again, moving to the other Dutiron that had stepped off, but legend saw no need for him to do so. They were all family, and his name seemed pretty important giving the fact that it was Legend's father. Whether they truly knew each other or not, they would have plenty of time now.
He would take a few steps back, keeping even a little too close of a range from her face, but looked softly to her. "I'm coming home." He would grin only a slightly bit more, hoping that she would do the same. But he would look back to Dutiron again and wave his chin to come over. He would start new now.
