She needed an escape, somewhere to go and just be alone for a moment. Returning to pack life was not as easy as she thought it would be. She was so used to being alone, to keeping only herself for company. Never needing to speak, or rely on anyone but herself. Now her actions would affect the pack, now everything she did had to benefit the pack. She had problem with that, but it also meant she had to start trusting others. That there was her problem. The earthen toned girl slowly made her way down to the beach. Toes spread to get a better grip on the loose sand. The sound of the waves breaking on the shore was peaceful, gentle and reassuring. She was jerked from her thoughts at a squawk from above. Pale green orbs lifted, fixating on a seagull.

The young girl watched the bird, tracking it, studying it. Bird hunting was her specialty, and she was no stranger to seagulls. The bird seemed to be curious of her, not knowing that soon it would end up in her jaws. Sitting down, she remained still like a tight coil, ready to spring up. Soon, all she had to do was wait for the right moment. Just a little closer, her haunches suddenly propelled her into the air. Forelegs stretched up infront of her, jaws wide open. For a moment she felt like she was light a bird, lifting up into the air to take flight. Jaws crushed down around the bird's neck, quickly killing it. She twisted her body in the air in her descent, paws positioned to land. A grunt was emitted as her body made contact with the land. Shaking herself out she looked around before placing the seagull down on the ground and laying down. This was a good day, something to remember. Not many days were so relaxing and good, but everytime they came by she relished them.

It wasn't very often she came to the mainland, every so often she would swim here to meet with Vivek or Pandora on occasion. Sometimes she would go with Desiree when her wife wanted to travel a bit but for the most part Vi was more then happy to live out her life on the beaches of Ibis island with her wife. It was like going from 100km/h to a dead stop over night but Vi had adjusted quite nicely to it. The fact that her leg constantly troubled her didn't really help either though. The waters were getting cooler and it was making old wounds act up. Her shoulder was still mobile, still weight baring thankfully, but it was painful to move sometimes and her paw didn't move as well as it should. Swimming was what was keeping her mobile she felt, often swimming around Ibis island when Desiree was of doing her thing to try and keep her mobility as best she could. But now the water carried a bit to chill with it, it did almost as much damage as it did good. She would pull her chilled and soaking body from the ocean, red pelt clinging to thin frame as she moved up the black beach to slowly shake the droplets from her pelt. She was cold now, damn she regretted this. Tremors ran through her body as she shook again to attempt to rid herself of the chill that clung to her body. She was about to flop on the ground when a familiar face filled her view.

Jaws clamped around a bird and Vi would tip her head curiously as she regarded the russet woman as she dragged a seagull down. Vi could honestly say she had yet to actually taste bird so a strange curiosity overcame her as she turned and began walked towards the woman. Rohini wasn't it? Vi struggled to remember her name but her face was hard to forget, she had met Rohini not long after her maim challenge with Roman. The red woman would pause a short distance away from the younger woman, a smile dancing across her features as she watched her younger counterpart enjoy her meal for a moment before clearing her throat. "Rohini?" Vi would ask, tentative at first before she would move a bit closer and sit, falling back onto her haunches tiredly as aching forepaw would lift slightly to ease the ache.

She laid there and for a moment would let her guard down while closing her eyes. The salty air rustled her fur, its tang pulling through her nostrils and blowing back out with the easy rhythm of the breaking waves. But a suddenly voice, calling her name had her jumping. Green orbs flashed open and body pulled away from the direction of the voice, on the verge of getting up to flee. But at the same time her head had turned to look at the caller. As eyes rested upon the red woman her fears melted away at once. Body eased back to its normal laying position with a warm smile. She had not expected to see her again but maybe that was a lie to herself. Had not Vi mentioned her to Crucifix? Was it not because of Vi that she now had a home? Her influence was great, great enough to allow Rohini to not live alone, to give her another chance with her own kind.

Her keen eyes did not miss the discomfort from the old wound Vi had on her leg, nor the water dripping from her fur. "Viridiana! Would you like to join me? I've never had seagull before, but it looks plump enough." She replied happily. She scooted the bird over if Vi wished to join her. Turning to the bird she went to expertly pull out the feathers and lay them in a neat pile. Maybe Vi would like to use them to cushion her leg again? She looked back up to the other woman. "I..i never got to thank you for mentioning me to Crucifix..You gave me another chance, a new home. I'll never be able to repay you." She said softly.

Vi didn?t miss the scare she gave Rohini as the red woman would plunk herself down near her old companion. Could she even call the girl that? They had met twice, once when Vi had challenged for her pack and again after Vi had been maimed. The girl had been so sweet despite their rocky start it was hard to forget her. Rohini would speak, greeting her easily and asking if Vi wanted to join her and share in her meal. The red woman would grin but shake her head, in an easy decline. ?You couldn?t get rid of me if you wanted to. But I am good on the seagull thank you, bird has always had an odd aftertaste to me. Maybe the high altitudes?? She mused, head tipping as if she was arguing with herself. She looked back down to notice Rohini plucking the bird and placing the feathers in a delicate pile much like the pile Rohini had made for her the first time they had met.

Easily she would lower her forequarters to the ground so her maimed elbow would rest on the pile that Rohini offered her. Okay that was nice especially with the sand below. Rohini would speak again and Vi would lift her head to look at the girl, realizing what she was saying and smiling softly. ?Sweetie! It was the least I could do after all I did to you. I never wanted you to be homeless?? She would exclaim, reaching out with one paw in an attempt to touch Rohini?s toes. ?I?m sorry? I wanted you to have a home with me, I felt like I owed as much to you but my wife and I? We wanted to start a family and didn?t think that with everything that happened a pack would have been a safe place?? She paused, trailing off and sighing as neck arched in an attempt to look at her own shoulder. She still hadn?t seen how back the scaring was. ?How have you been? How is Cru and the pack?? She would ask. How long had she been on that island?
