His domain spread out before him, the familiar forest of his childhood was his once more. He had hoped to pry it from the cold dead claws of the bitch that had claimed it, she had had no right after all, but he was glad to have it back all the same. He was even more glad that his children would be born upon these grounds, the forest that had witness his own first glimpse of life would watch the continuation of his legacy. The journey to the forest had been less than enjoyable though? he had envisioned arriving in triumph, glory! Not having to lumber on at a snail?s pace to accommodate his sister. At the time he had been frustrated now he was more and more worried about her, she had grown large, very large and Lel almost believed that if she continued to expand she?d simply burst. Plodding through the trees with a frown the boy sought out his sister, as had become routine, checking on her at regular intervals and presenting her with food as her appetite seemed to expand along with her abdomen. Now a young raven hung limp from his jaws, the stupid thing had fallen from its nest, easy prey for the leviathan. Speech,

Jian was thrilled to be moving back to their old home in the forest, but the trip there was less than pleasant. She had grown huge over the last several weeks and it made going any sort of distance a chore. Her blue gaze stayed fixed on Lel as they went and she could tell he was getting frustrated with her pace, but there wasn't much she could do about it. She quickly gave up asking him to slow down, instead just plodding along at her own pace and letting him do what he wanted.

It wasn't all bad though. He checked on her fairly often and brought a snack with him for her fairly often as well. Each time he did it she would smile softly kiss his cheek gratefully. It was things like these rare acts of kindness that reminded Jian that somewhere deep down he cared. He reappeared again with a raven in his jaws and again she smiled and kissed his cheek. This time she took the raven and set it aside however, settling down on her haunches with a sigh as she glanced around at the huge trees that towered over them. "It still looks the same," she commented absently, memories swirling around in her head.

Fixing her gaze on her brother once more, a soft smile touched her muzzle and she leaned forward, wanting to nuzzle the side of his neck. Soon they would be parents and their children would run around these trees just like they had as children. It was all coming full circle.
