He had been observing a small herd of deer moving through the prairie, aqua gave not missing a single move they made through the tall grass. How oblivious they were to the danger just yards away. Lurking downwind of the group, making sure to keep himself low in the grass when ever one of the creatures lifted their head high, scouting for danger. It would be his official scouting mission. The newly appointed hunter mapping the animal's movement and behavior, picking out which one may become his kill within the hour or two should they remain in this pack claimed territory. Lucky for him, they did stay within the boundaries, moving in a circular pattern.

That was when he found it, like a feline's claw had ripped open the earth. A scar marking one of a couple natural disasters that had struck Alacritia within the last three or four years, too long ago for the young male's memory or even existence to know about. The deluge had been created from the earthquake that had hit in summer, the third year of Alacritia being filled with wolves.

Abandoning the herd for now, Australis padded over to the crack in the earth. Head was held high, demeanor calm and relaxed, eyes showing a hint of curiosity from their usual cold and distant gaze. As he grew closer his snout would point downward towards the ground, paws bringing him to a stop at the edge of the hole and aqua gaze looking down into the darkness. It was, odd. Ears swiveled forward, head cocked to the side as he caught the sound of, what he thought was moving water. A river? If it was, how did it even get underground? Questions were forming, yet it frustrated the young man to know that he did not have the answer to them.

It was about time he visited the Deluge again. The small crack in the earth that led to a very beautiful spot...where Ixionn liked to seek peace and silence. There were many pools there, too, with a stream and plenty of space to just wander. He found the spot when he was out talking a little walk away from home. The boy saw a bothersome bug that was rather large in the grass, and it kept zipping around Ixionn. Finally he had tried to catch it and smash it as quickly as possible. But it ran straight into the crack of the earth- where the Deluge was. Out of curiosity, Ixionn followed the bug, and ended up in one of the smaller glowing pools. From there he just wandered around and took a moment to absorb the peace and silence. Now here he was...looking to go to that place again. Maybe his wounds would heal faster?
Though, once he got there, rosy-hued male was standing in front of the entrance, with his head down and his eyes firmly fixed into the dark space. Ixionn let out a loud, obnoxious laugh, before skipping up to the stranger cheerfully and prodding him softly. As he were going to push him in. But he had touched him way to softly for that to happen, of course. Ixionn smiled and fixed his eyes onto the Deluge as well. "It's pretty down there, believe it or not." Ixionn grinned and shuffled to the right, before squeezing through the little space and jumping down into the crack. It was dark, but the little pools nearby lit the space.
"You should come down here and see for yourself." The masked boy laughed again and slithered through the space energetically, having a slight bounce in his step as he neared the many pools and streams. It was weird...like lights. Shining against the walls of the underground space in a vivid blue pigment. Once again, he felt at peace. And he nearly forgot about the rosy stranger outside.
