Chord had finally made his way to the Eastern lands and back towards Abaven for another visit to his siblings. The Destruction lad had completely bypassed the storm, heard nothing of it either and so it wasn't with worry that he made his way to visit his siblings but simply the joy of popping in for a visit and sharing with them what he had found. An entirely new land had just appeared, popped up out of the sea. OK, so maybe the actual continent had always existed though the land that now made a bridge between the Northern and Southern Alacritia was entirely new. He had heard it confirmed by a couple of sources so he knew he wasn't going mad.

Triumphantly the adventurer would let out a call from the borders as he awaited an audience to share his tales of the new land with. He would surely return, explore it some more, he hadn't ventured around it anywhere near enough after all. It could certainly wait for the time being however, he would spend a bit more time with his family first.

The work Abaven had put into its land had made it a new world from the one they had discovered the morning the storms had ended. It wasn't quite as it had been to begin with, but it was beautiful once more and good to look at. Motif herself was pleased with the dedication and hard work these wolves had put into the clean up. So when the howl raced across the crisp air she would raise her own head and set back a warm howl before she began to trot in the direction of the caller. She recognised the tones of Chord of course, and was glad to hear from him and know that he was okay.

She would reach the borders with good speed and slow to a walk as she neared her brother. She moved forward however, and nuzzled against the side of his face before she settled back on her hunches to take him in. He seemed none the worse for wear, and as adventures and familiar as he always looked. From appearances, the storm had done little to dampen his spirits or body. ?Chord, its good to see you. What brings you back to Abaven?? she asked, knowing his endless need to find adventure.

It would be Motif that would soon appear before him and Chord would return the affectionate greeting before settling down opposite her. "Should I need a reason to pay a visit to my siblings?" The boy would question. However much he loved adventure he did love his siblings still and visits to them weren't just to keep up pleasantries but because he did truly enjoy them. There would be a moment of feigned hurt in his voice as he spoke, though such acts couldn't be kept up for long and his wide smile soon returned.

"I do have some news for you all though. I've found some new lands." He would begin simply. Perhaps he ought to wait for some of his other siblings to arrive though he wouldn't and couldn't be patient enough for that now, eager to share his findings. "In the Southern Lands a bridge appeared out of the ocean, as magical in appearance as the mysterious act itself. It leads to another continent, so many more places to explore and until recently never heard of to anyone here."

She would take in Chord's familiar colors as he spoke, he still boosted the whites and brownish tones that most of their family had, but it ranged more towards Harmony's style held one color half another, the top half being a more creamy color to Harmony's mocha. His reply to her question made her laugh and she held back the reaction to jump up and give him a lick across the check ? it probably wasn't a dignified and alpherly thing to do, and she had to act the part. She knew his hurt tone was only teasing, and it reminded her of the way she and Bass interacted. She hadn't had a chance to really catch up with Chord since the move and it was good to hear him be so familiar with him, like the close family they had always been.

He would move on to a different topic, a surprising one in fact. He said he found new lands, but Motif could see how that could be, Alacritis was a massive, isolated island except for the islands that could be reached when the tide was low, what could he mean 'new lands' did he mean like the underground lands discovered after the earthquake? She didn't need to speculate long, Chord would jump into a description without prompting and she listened, amazed at what he had to say. ?Chord, that's amazing! It sounds like you found your adventure? she teased him, but her own adventures part, the part that she had thought would stop her from ever settling down twinged at the thought. New lands, never been seen before by the wolves she knew, it sounded amazing and she wished she could take off with Chord and explore them.

Alpha or not Motif was still his sister and he certainly wouldn't have judged her for such an action. To be fair though, Chord was hardly the best example for sophisticated beahviour anyway, not that he had ever thought his siblings were either. They were respectful enough without being considered stuck-up in anyway. Of course the only leaders any of them had ever known were family, their grandparents, parents and now Bass and Motif, and in his mind formality certainly wasn't necessary for family.

Motif would listen to his words of the lands though her teasing wouldn't put him off at all. Yes he had found some sort of real adventure, one of the first few wolves to travel to Southern Alacritia and he would be proud of that fact for quite some time. By no means however was his adventuring done, there was more to see in both the Southern and Northern lands and surely more to do in both as well. No, his adventures had only just begun. "It really is." He would comment simply, the gleeful look still shining within his eyes and excited tones continuing. "But there still so much more to do I'm sure." He would add before any persuasion to give up his wandering and join Abaven could be suggested not that Motif was typically the one to make such a suggestion anyway.

Motif wouldn't ask him to give up his life of wondering to join the pack, after all she had been like that once and still longed for it a little. Her life here was for Bass, and she loved living in the same pack with him, looking out for him and teasing him constantly. She loved both lives, but she could understand Chord and why he lived as he did, and she would never ask to change him. He would agree that it sounded amazing, and would venture that there was more he could do. The Alpha girl smiled, remembering Bass has asked him to stay and could understand the quick assurance that there was so much undone in the adventurous world. ?Have you been there yet?? she would find herself asking, a touch of curiosity and longing in her tones. Perhaps she could take a break some time, perhaps Bass wouldn't mind if she went off adventuring with Chord and returned to him in a week or two. She remembered his lost expression in the caves as the storms raged on, and felt guilt for even of thinking of leaving him with the last of the clean up and the responsibilities here when he was yet to recover from losing wolves in the storm.

Chord likely would have felt a similar guilt had he known the struggles his siblings were going through. He had once feared for them upon receiving news from Motif that there had been some horrific illness spreading around Alacritia. He still cared very much for his siblings even if he wasn't around them at all times. The good moments were certainly far easier and far more pleasing to be around though to know he had missed out on so much stuggle, so much of their lives would surely hurt the boy.

They had kept it from him for now and would continue to do so, allowing him to lead his adventurous life guilt free. Rather than reveal her own longings to leave and guilt at such desires, Motif would simply continue enthusiastically, questioning whether he had been to the lands. A keen nod would be his immediate answer for her. "I've not explored them fully though I did take a look at some parts of it. There's a wonderful waterfall there Motif, hides an entrance to a cave and it's full of sweet tasting stalactites and stalagmites." It was perhaps the most unique thing he had really come across so far along with the glittering bridge itself.

She would watch, with fondness and a loving smile as her brother dear gave an enthusiastic nod. Of course he had found his way into the new world already, and was here to tell them of the lands he had explored, not just that they existed for exploring. He would immediately launch into an explanation, and she would listen to the boy as he spoke, hearing the excitement in his tone, the love for his work that told her it would be a long time before he gave up his adventurous life style. ?That does sound amazing? she murmured, she could picture it too, a hidden cave behind a waterfall, it sounded magical and untouched, the perfect place for a young explorer to find.

?I wish I could have seen it, I beat there's hundreds of brand new places for you to find, Chord, you'll come back and tell us about it?? she asked him, already looking forward to hearing the first hand news of this new place and no doubt Bass, when he fully returned to himself would love to hear it just as much.
