Snowsurfing
As he trotted on the snowfalls, he was careful to watch out for problems. Yet he jumped back and forth, lowering himself into a play bow. Then he'd take to rolling around in the snow as if trying to make a snow angel. No, the snows of winter were just that much fun, even when it wasn't winter. But he knew there were places where winter was a near constant. On some mountain peaks and higher elevated land there was oft more snow to be found. Not always freezing, but cold enough.
Growing tired from his solitary game, he lay upon his stomach and took a mouthful of snow into his mouth - making certain it wasn't the yellow snow which had formed after he had relieved his bladder. The cool crisp snow turned into liquid that he swallowed, re-hydrating himself after his vigorous activities.
Noel had never minded being watched, but he knew when someone was looking at him. Of course there were birds that liked to watch everyone from the skies. Not that he knew any of them and they would be a delicious morsel to gulp down. Shaking his head he leaped up onto all fours. Spotting the dark figure on the blanket of white, his tail wagged. He leaped toward her, paws landing in the snow as he gave a play-bow, tail swaying to and fro with the excitement from his time playing in the snow.
